Ch. 2Chapter 2

ADAM REIGO POV

Before leaving for work, Adam stood in front of the mirror tying his necktie. He had been at home for almost three hours while waiting for his wife to fall asleep. After kissing her on the forehead, he walked over to the bed and put his coat on before leaving the room quietly with his suitcase containing important documents from his office.

Having secured the entire mansion and activated all of the CCTV systems both inside and outside, he got into his car and drove it out of the garage and out of the mansion's neighborhood.

He was smiling as he drove because he knew his wife would be pleased when he returned with the mangoes he had bought for her. As he shook his head, he realized he had forgotten to ask his wife whether she preferred raw or ripe mangoes.

To avoid any issues, he just decided to carry the two varieties of mangoes. As soon as he had parked his car in the garage owned by his company, he got out and proceeded to the elevator to go to the first floor of the business. As soon as he reached the first floor, the elevator opened, and he emerged looking elegant and radiating the aura of his charismatic former self, as well as having his cold eyes fixed on whatever he was passing by.

All the employees who meet him change their path just don't meet him and the others look away while bowing to him, while he was walking on the very wide floor of his company, he noticed that he approached the tables of new employees intern of the company, He ran his finger across the table until the end, the other interns who were sitting in their assigned seats held their breath as the CEO passed by their front and his finger ran across their tables, the others just breathed when it is past their table.

He abruptly stopped at the furthest table before lifting the finger he had been using to move among his employees' tables. As he looked at the tip of his finger, his aura abruptly grew cold due to the dirt he had noticed, and as he then turned to face each of them one by one, they all avoided looking directly at him as he bowed to their seat.

The workers were unable to respond because they were afraid of hearing their boss yell at them. "What is this!" he said coldly and emphatically.

"This is the first warning, once I saw this dirt on your table again, all of you would be fired," He stated, before taking a tissue and wiping his finger. He then strolled back to his private elevator and boarded it with his hands in his pocket while clutching his suitcase in the other.

The office was practically empty on the 98th floor when the elevator doors opened because he didn't want to hear any noises, and his secretary was positioned too far from the opening where his office was situated since he doesn't want to be touched by any other woman than his cherished wife.

He walked into his office, opened the door, and sat down. He then set the suitcase he was carrying on the side of the table. He noticed the piles of papers on top of his desk and knew that his secretary had brought them earlier because she was the one who also co-collected the reports on the company and the reports from the various product branches that came from his company.

He began reading the papers, but when he came to the report on the marketing department of his business and saw that their sales had decreased, his mood turned dark. He then took one hand to the nearby telephone and immediately dialed his secretary.

On the other end of the telephone, his secretary politely responded, "Yes, sir."

He screamed angrily, "Call out a meeting to our marketing team, now!" and hung up. His secretary immediately called the marketing team.

The secretary on the other line said, "The boss wants all the marketing team in the meeting room right now, ASAP." Adam got up from his chair and left his office with the marketing team's report. His secretary froze when he saw the boss, who walked so heavily that you thought he was surrounded by fire because you can feel the burning anger.

When Adam arrived at the floor where his marketing team members were, they were already trembling because they knew what would happen once the boss read their team's report. Both of them jumped when the door violently opened and they saw their boss, who had a very bad aura and had just sat down in his designated seat and thrown the folder containing their report in the middle.

He sternly demanded, "Explain this!" as he looked at each of his employees' unpainted faces, which were all pale. Some of them were almost trembling beneath the table, while others were nervously biting their lips.

The chief of the marketing team stated slowly, "S-sir, because the products we sent to one of our branches in Davao had expired and we didn't notice it before sending them, then we also sent products to one of our branches located in Quezon.

"Really? Okay Start packing all your things and leave my company immediately, I don't want to see your face again inside my company," he said coldly. The head chief of the marketing team could not help but cry because of what he heard before slowly turning around and leaving the meeting room because he knew that the boss wouldn't change his mind.

The entire corner of the room was so silent, Adam blurted abruptly, "Speak," and he waited for a response.

Anxious and worried that he would also be dismissed, a guy murmured, clenching his hand under the table, "Boss w-will handle the matter promptly."

"What would that be?" Adam inquired, turning to look at him as he was ready to urinate because he had second thoughts about what he had just said, especially because he had no idea how to approach the issue.

He said, "Ah..eh," and shook his head in frustration when he realized he was unable to respond.

Turned out Adam glanced at a man who he saw didn't even look away from his eyes, and said, "We will build a new product and accept the collaboration with wrist watch company of Mr. Romero."

Adam asked icily, "Who are you? You're not acquainted with me. " The man visibly reddened before answering directly.

"I'm a new employee." Adam didn't react when he heard that and left. The people in the meeting room seemed to be pulled out of a thorn because they were exhaling a sigh of relief when the boss left. That's also the gift they gave their new co-worker for the idea he gave earlier; they knew the boss liked it so he said nothing and left quietly.

While Eleanor Mia, on the other side, was still bored at home and thought of opening the big door and going outside, she closed the door well before walking out of the house to look for mango because she was craving to eat mango and she couldn't wait for her husband. Adam went back to his own office and resumed the interrupted work.

She was only wearing a pink pajama and perhaps a white t-shirt paired with a sleeper, and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. As soon as she entered the subdivision, she was astounded by the flowers she saw on the side.

She exited the subdivision and continued walking until she came to a large group of people crossing the road on the other side. She was happy as she walked and took in everything around her. As she walked while admiring the cars, she was in the middle of the road when suddenly a Lamborghini that was traveling extremely quickly passed by, and it was the same when Eleanor Mia walked suddenly bumped into her. She just stood there until the red light indicated that the car was going to pass.

Her skull smashed the front glass of the car as she crashed, which is why her head was covered in blood at the same moment as the cars that collided as a result of the accident.

The white Lamborghini had a broken head, but the driver got out and ran to the woman he had struck, who was none other than Eleanor Mia. He picked her up and drove off in his broken Lamborghini, which was still running, to the nearest hospital without giving his small forehead wound much thought because it was more crucial to get the woman he had struck to the hospital. He also prayed that his flight wouldn't be delayed.

After some time had passed, Adam left the workplace early to buy a mango for his wife. He didn't give his employees any notice and simply walked out of the building to his parking lot where he then went to the fruit shop and made the purchase.
