"Please, could you let me go?” I pleaded with him.
I thought he was my mate. I thought he would understand and free me like a pure Alpha-blooded girl deserved to be treated. But instead, he growled, his clawed hand gripping my neck and jaw. I shrieked, but my voice caught in my tightening throat.
“Let you go? You think after I paid a million dollars for you, I’d just let you go?” He clenched his jaw, his face drawing closer.
