Ch. 17Winter isn't dumb

Dane stands silenced, holding Winter by her arms with less pressure than before. Dane turns his head to where she is staring. His eyes narrow at Amy and Aria who are consoled by Alex and Crystal.

"Winter..." Dane's deep voice doesn't faze her, "Winter, look at me. Tell me what's going on." He says, knowing something is off with the way she's staring at Amy and Aria.

"We need to talk with the others too." Says the woman. Dane nods his head and suddenly dives in to kiss her deeply. The silence grows, surrounding them. His adopted siblings and other people in the room quieten down to watch the lovers kiss passionately.

"Everyone's watching," Winter, parting from their kiss, whispers over his lips. Dane simply shakes his head, standing straight up.

"I think the case solved itself. Thank you for accompanying us." Says Dane, words directed to the police officers. One by one, all of them walk out of Dane and Winter's hotel room. The last ones to walk out are Nick with Amy taking his support to walk. The poor little woman couldn't stop crying for half of the day. She felt guilty if anything happened to Aria and Winter.

Dane watches Amy leave the room. Winter clutches her head and sits on the bed while Dane is at the door, leading the last people out. He glares at Amy who gives him a look of indifference.

"Don't look at me like that. I would've reacted the same way if it were you." He didn't mean to sound rude, nor were his words rude. But Amy took it as a sign that he prioritizes Winter over her, any moment. She walks out with Nick, wordlessly.

The man sighs in distress, locking the door and leaning against it.

"I'm sorry. I ruined the trip." Winter's voice speaks from the bed. "Don't you dare say that." Winter senses anger in Dane's tone.

"I really didn't mean to leave you all out. We have one more day left, so I thought I'd get to know the new girl until lunch. Aria's great company...but..." Dane crushes his eyebrows close. He approaches his girlfriend and sits beside her.

"But what, Winter? Tell me right now."

"No." Dane is taken aback by her response.

"What do you mean 'no'?"

"It's not something you want to hear first. I don't want you to jump to conclusions. I know you will. I want to speak with the others before the words get to you." Her slithering, silky voice speaks quietly.

"If that's what you think is best then. But...I want to take you. Right now." Claiming suddenly, Winter watches Dane take his clothes off in front of her. She had a long frock and nothing but panties underneath. He claims her right away, sliding himself into her warm body. Their moans fill the air with sexual tranquility. Dane just couldn't get enough of her. Partially because of how stressed he was about the whole ordeal.

Winter is the only woman who understands the man that Dane is. She lets him do whatever he wants while ensuring he's not using her just for pleasure. The man runs his hands over her slim body with nothing but adoration.

Three minutes into their passionate breeding act, Winter announces, "Fuck...don't stop. I'm close."

Hearing her sultry voice command him, Dane tries his best not to fill her up so soon. He wants to time her climax with him and puts himself through the pain of holding back. For just a few seconds.

Winter's body squeezes the hell out of him. The thrill of watching such a beautiful woman climax because of him makes Dane bust then and there. Their bodies shake like leaves. Dane almost loses balance and falls atop her quivering body. He stays stoic in his position, smirking down at the woman breathing ruggedly.

"Fuck..." Winter moans, matching his smirk. Her hands move below him, Dane watches as she cups her little mounds on her chest. He can't help but bite down on his lower lip.

"I'm so not done with you. I want more of you." He claims, shuddering under the cold breeze of their air-conditioned room. Winter nods in agreement, however crawling up to the headboard. She pulls the sheets open for her lover. Dane knows what she wants, they're always on the same page.

"You're ready for another round already?" Dane asks the beautiful woman.

"Honey. We're just getting started." Dane chuckles at her confidence. Settling on top of her, the excitement comes right back as he slides back into her warmth.

Two hours pass.

It's cold in the evening and the siblings are gathered in Nick's room. Crystal joins the discussion by force, claiming to know what is going on too. It wasn't just the siblings who noticed Dane and Winter's gaze on Aria.

"This might sound strange," Winter starts explaining, "But I haven't found such compatible companionship from anyone till this date." She speaks about Aria, looking down at her lap.

"It's almost as if she's researched about me," Winter reveals, eliciting mixed reactions from the Frostbites and Crystal.

"Researched? I think she is just good at picking up subtle signs and words. She's a good observer—"

"Amy. No one in this room except for Dane knows about my father's annual tribute to my dead mother." Winter's statement takes everyone aback.

"So you're trying to say...Aria knows a little too much about us?" Alex chips in.

"That's right," Winter confirms.

Amy, now silenced, looks down at her lap. Crystal, who is sitting beside her, places her warm palm on Amy's lap.

"It's not your fault. If whatever comes out as truth between Aria and her intentions with us." Crystal whispers to Amy who smiles at her best friend. Except, Crystal didn't like how Amy's smile didn't reach her eyes.

"I think we need to limit the time we spend with someone external like Aria. Not to forget, she's the daughter of your ex-stepmother." Winter points out again, yet not sounding deliberate to the Frostbites sitting in the room.

So.

Who's the real villain here?

Can you see the signs?
