I widen my eyes slowly. Realization finally sinks in. As I lay down on the soft bed with my legs held up so Cynric would clean me up, I can't help but ponder. Was that the reason why he's been smiling since? Knowing it will be our last time? If anything, he SHOULDN'T be smiling, isn't it?
"Cynric...you realize something, don't you?" I ask in a soft voice. To which he replies with his smile finally starting to fade. The icy spark in his blue eyes seems to dust down. They look down at my body and don't meet my eyes, which I find weird and...unsettling.
"I do. This is our last time meeting up," He mentions.
"Why have you been smiling?" I probe once again. He looks into my eyes, diving deep down to see if I'm asking sincerely. The joke's on him; I was never serious or genuine about Cynric. We had a deal and that's about it.
But somewhere in my heart...I feel connected with Cynric. It's as if I want him to be a part of my life. Moreover, the way he enjoys me is beyond imagination. He likes me...doesn't he?
"Whatever you're thinking about, don't. It's a waste of time. I've used you for my pleasure and that's about it. There's nothing more to our deal." He iterates as though he's read what's on my mind!
"I- I wasn't even thinking about that. Just wanted to know why you're being so creepy today. And not to mention...extra mushy." I point to the towel and his hand placement over my body.
"Creepy, huh? Well, the 'mushy' was just me being me. Do you not like it?" Towards the end, his voice dives an octave deeper. I fought the urge to clench my thighs close, for I felt the tingles in my core! Phew...that was kinda hot.
"I actually liked it. It's just that, things aren't supposed to be this way between us. You forced me to sleep with you." I give him the hard pill to swallow. He stares at me, and something breaks as I visualize it in his eyes. The spark was long gone, but something else...it just snapped.
"I forced you..." He says, reflecting on himself. Finding the situation rather awkward than confrontational, I give up on trying to change him. Make him a better person. But I hadn't realized I'd already changed him...
"I'm going to take a shower and leave," I announce. Climbing down the bed, I enter the bathroom and close the door softly. I lean against it, facing the bathroom as I try to process whatever happened. I'm curious to know what brought about such a shift in his attitude towards me. He's always been rough and never cleaned me up before. This was simply weird and so out of character for him.
The shower water is eternally warm. I shake my thoughts away and open my hair from the high ponytail. Stepping into the shower, I shamelessly use Cynric's bath products under the running stream of bliss.
Walking out naked, it slipped my mind that the cold air would freeze me to death! Scurrying around, entertaining the man who watches me with a smile, I find his towel.
"That was cute," Cynric murmurs to himself. "I'm sorry. What did you say?" Silly me was busy rubbing my damp hair with the soft towel. I couldn't hear him over the sound of the crispy friction of my hair.
"I said nothing." Cynric replies, going back to do whatever he was doing on his phone. I dress myself back in my atrocious clothes. A shudder washes over my body at the coldness. I look over and Cynric...wasn't on the bed. Rather, he was just a few inches away from my face. His hand grabs mine, I look down at it.
"What are you doing?" I ask as he begins to tug me to the bed.
"There are few more photos I have of you, in reality." He reveals, my eyes widening.
"How could you...?"
Betrayal. That's what I feel in my heart. It gets warm, upsettingly so. I yank my hand away from his grip and force myself to stand up despite his protests.
"Don't talk to me ever again. And yes, this time, I've got proof." Saying, I show him my phone which had been recording our audio conversations since I stepped into his room!
I got back at you, Cynric. Didn't I? However. I don't quite get the reaction I was expecting out of him. He must be shocked or have attacked me to remove the evidence. But, he remains silent. A few seconds pass, and I keep glaring down at him.
"Fucking say something!" I shout, distressed.
"Keep that safe. Do whatever you want to. But...listen to me." I furrow my eyebrows.
"I don't have anything to listen from you. You planned on using me for more!? And you haven't been truthful since the start! You're filthy and disgusting, Cynric. You'll never be one like my brothers. I always wondered what made you so different from them. But now, I know why. Because you're a fraudster and a dishonest piece of shit. Oh! That explains why you've never had a fucking girlfriend!" I spit venom in my rage! All these words should have him riled up by now. Yet again, his guise remains the same. How frustrating!
"I'm leaving—" I announce my departure. For the last time and forever. However, he cuts me off to say something so unexpected, that I thought I misheard it.
"I like you, Amy. I like you for the woman you are." The truth falls out of his system, spilling from his mouth as I stare at him. We indulge in a few seconds of stare-off.
'What did he just say?' I'm so unsure...
"...What?" I couldn't help but ask. The words weren't accepted by my brain, and I deduced them down as though I hadn't heard him right.
And he repeats,
"I like you, Amy. I really do. Please...
LET ME BE YOUR ANOTHER REVERSE HAREM...!"
