Ch. 5Rejection

Someone knocked on Lyra's door at night. The moment she opened the door, a big muscular man with a tattoo on his right arm grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the house.
“Lyra Evren!” called the Omega man.
“Yes, what's wrong?” said Lyra.
“Alpha Kael called for you,” the man told her. The look on Lyra's face instantly changed, could it be that Kael had changed his mind and was considering the punishment again.
“Really?” Lyra was excited as hell and wished for a miracle to appear for her.
“Hurry up! Everyone is waiting for you at Nightfall,” he urged.
Lyra quickly followed the man to Nightfall. She couldn't wait to hear her punishment revoked or replaced with something else, as long as it wasn't exile as a rogue.
When Lyra arrived there, there was a large number of Nightfall's pack gathered in a large field. They were all waiting for Lyra, in front of whom now stood Kael proudly announcing that...
"Starting tonight, your blood is no longer a part of us. Your name, Evren will be erased from our pack's lineage," Kael declared in front of everyone.
“What?” Lyra widened her eyes in shock. “That's not true.”
Kael's statement hit Lyra hard. As it turned out, that was the reason why Lyra stood before the herd, the elders, and all of them came to attend the release ritual that she had not expected.
Lyra's body was still injured and weak from the previous training and interrogation by Kael. Now, her wounds were even worse after hearing Kael's statement that made her feel humiliated among the herd.
"Obviously that was the final humiliation for you before banishment. Accept your fate, Evren," Elira sneered. She looked sarcastically while flashing a mocking smile at Lyra.
'They set me up and humiliated me. Damn!' Lyra muttered to herself.
"She deserves it. Because she's the daughter of a traitor," another chimed in. They were united in cornering Lyra.
"Damn you, Kael! I'll get back at you someday," Lyra vowed. Kael just smiled back. He was satisfied that he could get rid of Lyra from his life.
Kael climbed onto a podium. With a loud voice, the Alpha wearing his signature robes was now the center of attention. All eyes were on him, without exception.
As Lyra tried to raise her head, her eyes met Kael's gaze. Again! The bond was still felt by her. Not long after, Kael took a breath then spoke words that scratched her heart and sounded sharper than a knife.
"I, Alpha Kael Blackthorn, hereby reject my fated mate bond with Lyra Evren. The Moon Goddess has erred. This bond will never be recognized."
"You are free, Lyra. Free from the herd. Free from me. Get as far away from us as you can!" he commanded.
“No!” Lyra could no longer argue. Everything had been decided by Kael.
Snickers and looks of disgust began to spread. Even those who had once sympathized with Lyra began to fall silent.
Kael had set an example to his flock that Lyra was a “mistake”. After Kael made that statement, overnight, Lyra lost everything. Her good name, her home, even her soul mate.
'I swear, if love is destiny... then please... don't give me love again.'
Lyra was furious at that moment. Her emotions were unstoppable. She wanted so badly to let it out. Right then and there. However, the spiritual power within her held back as much as possible. Little did she know, that great power would soon explode if she could not control her anger.

Lyra was escorted by two wariors to the boundary of the territory. After that, she was left alone, without weapons, without food, and without protection. She already had nothing in this world. It rained heavily that night.
"One step over this line, and you're officially a rogue. We're no longer responsible if anything happens to you out there," one of the wariors told Lyra.
Lyra had no choice. She chose to walk into the forest. Alone. Soaking wet and feeling exhausted, as well as empty. But deep inside her, something began to ignite and reveal itself, not like strength, more like an ember of revenge. She had sworn in her heart:
"You reject your destiny, Kael. Then I will create a new destiny. Even without you. You'll see!"
As Lyra's body felt sluggish and fell to the ground, suddenly wild rogues came charging at her. There were two rogues who smelled the scent of her blood. They intended to devour her. Lyra fainted instantly.
When the two rogues started to touch Lyra's body, suddenly the sound of footsteps stopped them. They heard a calm but firm baritone voice.
"Don't touch her! If you dare touch her, you will die by my hands," the man threatened.
A tall, well-built, athletic man with a large tattoo on his back stood beside Lyra to protect her from the two rogues.
“Who are you?” one of the rogues asked the man.
“Go away if you don't want to die,” he threatened again.
"Let's get out of here! We're no match for him," whispered the other rogue.
“Who the hell is he?”
"Draven Vale. He's the Alpha of Ravencall."
“Are you kidding?”
"Fool! Hurry up and leave! Do you want to die?"
The rogue grabbed his friend's rogue hand and left in a hurry, leaving Alpha Draven behind.
After they left, Draven saw Lyra's weak body still lying on the ground. So, he picked her up and carried her away from the forest.
"Who is this beautiful girl? Is she a rogue too?" thought Draven.
“I'm going to kill you.” Lyra whispered. Draven heard her.
“I'll kill you, Kael.”
"I swear. I am the Luna who will be the hell of your life." Lyra opened her eyes slowly. She saw the figure of the man who took her away, and she thought it was Kael.
Her body was getting weaker because Lyra had not eaten all day. She fell asleep in Draven Vale's arms.
“This girl holds a grudge against Kael.” Draven thought of something. It crossed his mind to take advantage of Lyra.
