Although having a personal therapist seemed entirely different in my rational state, I had to admit it was helpful for me.

The next morning, I awoke to the sound of a mobile phone ringing beside the lamp, and I reached out a hand from the bed.

It was a call from Sage Thatcher. A call which served as a reminder about Liam's housewarming gathering that was scheduled for noon.

A few months following the establishment and launch of The Hood Group, Liam acquired a new home with my efforts. Although it seemed like a happy endeavor at the time, he truly relished the outcomes of my naïveté.

Moments after putting on the new outfit prepared by the eldest housekeeper, Ms. Latrice, and receiving a call to breakfast, I headed there, only to discover Williams already relaxing in the biggest chair at the table.

He focused his gaze on his mobile tablet, using his left hand to serve himself. His shirt was unbuttoned at the first three buttons, and my gaze was naturally drawn to his smooth, toned, and inviting chest.

His deep, luxurious hair, although curly, reflected the lights of the chandeliers. His grey eyes anxiously scanned the screen, seemingly eager to complete his task.

Williams Alfonso was not only a fine man but also the President of the Hold Group of companies, making him one of the most sought-after bachelors in the nation.

His company had been repeatedly recognized as the top firm among its rivals in the nation.

While I reflected on this, I questioned why I had inflicted so much hurt on him while being completely absorbed in Liam, who made me feel useless.

Ultimately, I turned my face away and approached the table, fully aware of the intense gaze on my figure from behind the tablet, as if he could stand up to help me at any moment.

I took a seat three places away from him. While I helped myself, I observed that he had already set the tablet aside and was now completely engaged in his meal, as though he had been awaiting my arrival.

While we dined quietly, I secretly looked at him.

Abruptly, he ceased eating and cleaned his mouth with a napkin. Subsequently, his eyes turned towards me.

"Is there something I need to be aware of, Aurora?" You've been sneaking looks at me since you were on the stairs." He indicated.

I breathed out quickly. "I wasn't aware you were observing me." I responded. At times, his persistent gaze would irritate me, but now, I felt fascinated-I wanted him to observe every action I took.

He let go of the napkin and gripped his tablet tightly. Standing up, he spoke softly, "The therapist believes you've healed."

Leon will take you to the laundromat because you insisted on going back there yesterday. I removed Liam's calls from your phone, please don't shout about it." He softly moves the chair to direct it toward him and places a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Keep in mind that I will always stand by you in any choices you decide." His warm breath brushed against my earlobe, his cologne permeating the atmosphere. He stood up straight and left.

I took a deep breath and swiftly wrapped things up. As I exited the mansion moments later, I noticed Leon was already there by the entrance, holding a black umbrella.

I slipped into the backseat, prepared to tackle the day ahead with complete enthusiasm. The elegant black vehicle slowly halted in front of a perfectly crafted bungalow, with a name displayed on the awning-'The Last Laundromat.'

I got out of the car, expressed my gratitude to Leon, who seemed surprised, then walked towards the slides.

The slides opened in one accord, granting me entry. I was instantly surrounded by the noise of whirling drums, a clean aroma of detergent, and the view of lengthy lines of washing machines.

On the far left, there is an extensive cashier counter where transactions for each client are processed and managed.

Some employees hovered nearby, monitoring the garments within the machines to guarantee their safety. The employees shot me absurd glances, likely due to my absence for two days prior to coming back.

Beside the cashier's counter was a shut wooden door, which led to the office of our manager, Lawrence Quing.

In a previous life, we knew each other well before my abrupt marriage to Liam Hoods. However, realizing the nature of my unimportant relationship with Liam, he believed it wouldn't result in anything significant.

Nonetheless, he had the surprise of his life when I placed the wedding card invitation carefully on his desk that memorable morning. Until the day I passed away, he hardly looked my way more than twice.

My major responsibility at work involved ironing freshly laundered clothes and organizing them into our personalized bags alongside a few colleagues.

I had almost completed folding six pieces of clothing when the office door slowly opened, showing Lawrence - a tall, attractive young man. One of his striking feature was the youthful look, the innocent expression, dark hair, slender build, and very fair skin.

Being Asian, specifically Chinese, his skin was very striking to observe.

As he started walking toward me, the loud sound of my phone ringing interrupted him, making him halt and furrow his brows. I apologized with a bow and quickly exited through the backdoor to answer the call.

My heart skipped as I noticed the caller ID - Liam Hoods was ringing!

In a confused state, I moved my finger across the screen to the right. Liam's measured, composed, yet critical tone was heard right away.

"I had called you many times, Aurora! Are you avoiding me? Come on, I apologized! I am still saying sorry for some silly mistake." He begged without much enthusiasm; a scolding tone undermined it.
