It had been weeks of fighting Marcelos and his army and nothing fruitful had been happening since it was already expected, none had who Esther said was coming to help them had come. Hemdal, Dawson, Karl, Nelson, and the armies had been doing all the best they could against Marcelos’ army to protect the people but they just kept losing more soldiers to Marcelos' undead army and always sustaining slight wounds which they always get treated. The werewolves had no issue being injured since they had healing abilities while the humans and the silver army had to be treated for their wounds to heal for the next battle.

Dawson, Hemdal, Karl, and Nelson were getting now worried when they realized there were little soldiers left with them to protect the people from Marcelos and his army. Marcelos, on the other hand, always reminds Zussorader, Philip, and his armies to make sure not to kill Karl because he would like to add her as her loyal soldier of his.

Esther and Redrick thought about who it was that they had to find which can help her get out of the illusion she is in with the others before the river suck in all her energy and that of the others. Esther suggested that they go visit the palace library and check out books that will help them with illusion but Redrick disagreed and made Esther understand that nothing in there is real neither what they are going to find out in those books will be real.

Esther and Redrick were still in the room thinking about what should be the next step they should take when the other Redrick walked into the room. Seeing the other Redrick, the real Redrick moved away from Esther and went to stand somewhere in the room, wondering what the other Redrick was looking for. The other Redrick sat down on a chair closer to Esther and said to Esther “how are you feeling now?”.

“I am fine. Thank you” said Esther to the other Redrick.

“Is there maybe anything you need?” said the other Redrick nervously to Esther.

Hearing that, Esther smiled and the real Redrick said to Esther “you have to be kidding me? Am I this dumb?”.

“I am fine and I don’t need anything. Are you here to check up on me or say something to me because there seems to be something on your mind?” Esther asked the other Redrick.

“Um… I am here to check up on you, and….. I heard from Lord Emmanuel that you talk a lot about Marcelos in your sleep, and you seem to be obsessed with Marcelos. So I am here to tell you that Marcelos is just someone of the past of King Damon and you have nothing to worry about concerning him. Marcelos is never waking up from where he is put to sleep. So you can sleep peacefully at night and let your mind be at rest. Whatever you see in the future is not going to happen” said the other Redrick to Esther.

“Thank you, Redrick. Thank you for everything, I am grateful” said Esther to the other Redrick, but she knows that there was never a day she talked about Marcelos in her sleep.

“You welcome. Anything for you. If you are done you can come outside to play with others” said the other Redrick to Esther.

“Okay” said Esther, then the other Redrick left.

Immediately after the other Redrick left, the real Redrick walked back to Esther and sat down on the same chair the fake Redrick sat on then he said to Esther “I guess it is destined that every version of Redrick was going to be in love with you. I wondered what is it you enchanted the Redricks with”.

Esther smiled and said “I think the river picked this Redrick from my memories. Unlike you this Redrick cares more about me than you”.

“Hmm. Oh, I see. Is that why you kissed him?” said Redrick.

Esther was surprised to hear that so she said “you know about that too?”

“I think I told you about how I am part of you now. Maybe you should get married to him though. You can go tell everyone then” said Redrick to Esther.

“Stop that. How can I marry an illusion?” said Esther.

“But I didn’t think you would tell them about Marcelos when you believed this place to be the past before I made you realize it is nothing but an illusion” said Esther.

“Marcelos? I never told anyone about Marcelos nor did I talk about him in my sleep. I don't know why he made that up. Though Redrick and I did go to Marcelos' tomb together, I never told him that the future I came from was a future where Marcelos was awakened because I was afraid it might affect the future. Could he have deduced that by just us visiting Marcelos’ tomb?” asked Esther confused.

“Yes and no. I know you visit the tomb with him but he never asked questions why you visit the tomb right?” asked Redrick.

“No, he never did. He never asked me questions about the future and was always ready to support whatever it is I do. Does this mean Redrick knows about the future?” said Esther.

Hearing that made Redrick think and he said “I think I might have found us a way out of here, but first, I want you to see everyone and have private conversations with them. Find out from any of them if they know anything about Marcelos or the future”.

“What is going, Redrick?” asked Esther.

“Just do as I say, I will explain later” said Redrick.

Esther did as Redrick instructed and he met with everyone privately. Esther met with King Raynold, lord Emmanuel, Zussorender, the princes, the princesses, Hemdal, Hawk, and Gabriel privately (each) and asked them questions about Marcelos and none of them was able to tell her anything about Marcelos waking up but the past of Marcelos and that of King Damon.

After realizing no one knows anything about the present Marcelos, Redrick tells Esther to meet privately with the other Redrick and discuss with him then Esther calls the other Redrick to have dinner with her in her chamber at night. Hearing that, the other Redrick did not disagree and accepted quickly.

The other Redrick walked into Esther's chamber and met the whole room lit up by candlesticks light. The other Redrick saw Esther seated on a chair facing a table and opposite her was another chair facing the table with a lot of food on top. The real Redrick was also in the room seated on the bed but the other Redrick did not see him.

The other Redrick sat on the chair opposite Esther who was smiling at him then the first thing the other Redrick said with a smile was “being a royal high blood gives you a lot of privileges, like having a lot of food on your table”.

“This is not what you call privileged. You can go to the royal kitchen and get the maids to make you as much food as you can” said Esther to the other Redrick.

Redrick smiled and said to Esther “as much as I am honored and glad to be here and be invited to dinner by you, I still don’t know why you want to have dinner with me”.

“Oh about that. I just want to thank you for everything you have been doing for me ever since I have been stuck here. I am thankful and really want to show my gratitude. Which is why I got us a lot of food to fill our bellies tonight” said Esther with excitement and a smile.

“You could have got me the whole palace though” said the other Redrick with a smile, and Esther laughed.

While the other Redrick and Esther continue to dine, Esther says to Redrick “there is even something I want to ask you about”.

“What is that?” the other Redrick asked Esther.

“Um…. I and the other princesses and princes have been talking about Marcelos and they seem to know more about him than I do. And they told me that you can tell me more about Marcelos than anyone could because you spent most of your time In the library” said Esther to the other Redrick.

The other Redrick smirked and said “I don’t know why they would say that though. I don’t know much about Marcelos. Why would anyone want to know about that crazy freak who wants the end to all things? Why do you care about Marcelos? I thought we both agreed that it was just a dream of yours about the future”.

“Yeah, but I am sacred the future might come to pass though. I just want to know more about Marcelos before the future becomes the present” said Esther to the other Redrick.

“You are the one in the best position to know about Marcelos. You dreamt about the future and whatever it is you saw in the future was enough for you to know about Marcelos. I am sure you might have fought him in the future too so only you can know Marcelos better. And besides, the future is never gonna come true here. You are safe here. So let go of Marcelos” said the other Redrick to Esther.

Then the real Redrick said to Esther “ask him what he means by here?”, then Esther asked the other Redrick.

“Here as how?” the other Redrick asked Esther, as he paused eating when he heard Esther.

“You said the future is never gonna come true and I am safe here. What do you mean by that?” Esther asked the other Redrick.

The other Redrick continued eating and said “I mean your dream might just be an ordinary dream and nothing serious. And you are safe here in the past with us. Marcelos is just a dream”.

“Yeah. You are right. The dream might mean nothing and I am safe with my family and you” said Esther with a smile, and the other Redrick smiled.

After Esther and the other Redrick were done with dinner, they said goodbye with Esther giving the other Redrick a peck before the other Redrick left for his chamber.

Immediately after the other Redrick left, the real Redrick sat Esther on the bed and said to Esther “I need you to listen to me, Esther. That person you just had dinner with is not me or an illusion of me. That person is the him the sailor said”.

“You weren’t the only one that had that thought. He knows this place is an illusion is why he said I am safe here. He also knew there was no future here which is why he was assured that my dream wasn’t going to come to pass. None of them is also worried about the future they all said that I came from. And I know you Redrick, I might not tell you about the future but you will always be worried about the future once you know what it holds which will get the others worried. This Redrick wasn’t worried and he seemed to know what the others don’t know Marcelos. He is the him but who is this him?” said Esther.

“I think it is the soul of the river of tears using my image to make sure you don’t ever leave here since it knows my relationship with you” said Redrick.

“That is good. It hid itself with the image of a person I was never gonna suspect. But its words made him fail and sold him out. So now that we have the him, what is next?” asked Esther.

“I suggest we make the illusion become real. When an illusion becomes real, the illusion fades away and that will get us out of here” said Redrick.

Esther was confused by Redrick's words which made her ask Redrick “how do we make illusion become real?”.
