The continuous calling of Esther's name woke Esther up and she opened her eyes to see it was Redrick calling her name. Upon seeing Redrick who was on his knees beside her who was lying on the ground, Esther became scared and quickly got up moving away from Redrick.

Seeing Esther's reaction, Redrick told her not to be afraid that he was not there to harm her and Esther looked around her to see she was back at the frozen sea. Seeing the frozen sea, Esther became confused wondering why she was back here when she thought she was going to die and how come Redrick who had never actually talked to her ever since she had been dreaming about this place was now talking to her and close to her just then Redrick asked Esther “are you okay?”.

“Well, you stab me and I thought I was going to die but here I am again” said Esther puzzled.

“I know that. That was the only way to bring you back here and get to talk to you after months of trying to communicate with you” said Redrick.

Esther stood up wondering what Redrick meant by his words and Redrick also stood up. Esther looks around and beneath the ice and then asks Redrick “what do you mean by months of trying to communicate with me and what the hell is this place?”.

Redrick was about to answer Esther when the ice suddenly shook and stopped. Seeing that, Esther wondered what was happening and looked at Redrick to see he was anxious seeing the ice shake and stopped. Esther was about to ask Redrick why the ice shook when Redrick suddenly held her hands and said to her “listen to me, Esther. All you have been thinking all this while is true and I want you to know that everything you are seeing is not true. When you wake up please try to get connected to me so we can communicate”.

Esther wanted to ask Redrick what was going on and why was he saying all those words to her when the ice suddenly broke beneath her and she felt inside the freezing water screaming.

Esther woke up screaming from her dream breathing heavily and at the same time sitting up on the bed. After waking from her dream, Esther was relieved when she saw she was back in her room and it was just a dream. Esther also saw Redrick looking worried as he was looking at her standing close to the bed but not saying anything to her.

Esther made sure she took control of her breathing and heaved a sigh of relief before she said to Redrick “can you please help me get water?”.

Hearing that, Redrick looked around the room to see if Esther was talking to someone else knowing it couldn’t be him but saw no one in the room except the both of them which made him confused. Seeing Redrick didn’t move from the spot he was standing to get her water to drink, Esther wondered why and asked Redrick “why aren’t you going to get me water?”.

Hearing that again, Redrick looked around the room again to see if Esther was talking to someone else in the room but there was no one in the room except the both of them. Redrick didn’t give any response to Esther knowing it couldn’t be him that she would be talking to or maybe she was talking to someone only she was seeing.

Esther saw Redrick looking around the room weirdly and confusingly when she asked him why he wasn’t getting her water and wondered what was going on with him when he still didn’t move from his spot but staring at her. Esther asked Redrick again “Is there something wrong, Redrick? Why aren’t you getting me water and moving?”.

Hearing her again, Redrick looked around the room once again to see if she was talking to someone else but there was no one in the room except the both of them and she just mentioned his name but it couldn’t be him that she was talking to. To know if it was him that Esther was talking to, Redrick asked Esther “are talking to me?”.

“Who else is in the room except the both of us? You beginning to get me worried thinking something was up with you. Just get me water I am thirsty” said Esther with relief.

Hearing that, Redrick was shocked and he moved closer to Esther leaning on the bed to confirm it was truly him Esther was talking to, Redrick asked Esther “are you really saying it is me….. As in me in front of you that you are talking to?”.

“Can you please stop all this act, Redrick, and get me…….” said Esther.

Esther was cut short of words as she suddenly saw Redrick hug her joyfully and happily sitting on the bed and wondered why he did that but then Esther thought it must have been because of her becoming unconscious in the forest they went to hunt, Redrick must have thought she was going to die. Esther hugged Redrick back and said to him “don’t worry, Redrick. I am not going to die. I don’t think there is anything strong enough to kill me yet”.

“I know that but I am glad that I am now able to talk to you here except in your subconscious and dreams. You have no idea how long it has been since I have been trying to get you to hear my voice, see me, and get to feel you” said Redrick, with joy and relief in his voice.

Esther was confused by Redrick's words and wanted to ask what he meant by that but just then the great King, lord Emmanuel, the princes, the princesses, Zussorender, Hawk, and another Redrick hurriedly walked into her room looking relieved.

Esther was shocked and confused upon seeing the 2nd Redrick and she separated from the 1st Redrick pushing him away from her and making him fall to the floor. Seeing the way Esther separated from him, the 1st Redrick wondered why as he stood up just then he saw the 2nd Redrick and the others walking to Esther. Then the 1st Redrick looked at Esther to see she was confused as she was looking at both him and the 2nd Redrick, and then the 1st Redrick said to Esther “I know you might be confused right now but don’t say anything to them about me. I will explain everything to you when we are alone”.

After saying that to her, Esther saw the 1st Redrick go to stand at one side of the room to give room for King Raynold and the others coming to check on her and realized none of them was seeing the 1st Redrick. Getting to Esther, King Raynold and the others all asked if Esther was okay, saying to her that they all ran here after hearing from the guards that she screamed from her sleep and she told them she was okay and at the same time she was still looking at the both Redrick.

Lord Emmanuel asked Esther what happened again that made her go unconscious in the forest and that she had to be saved by Redrick who brought her to them or else she would have been eaten by the animals. Before answering her father, Esther looked at both the 1st and 2nd Redrick wondering what was going on but the 1st Redrick promised to explain everything to her so she said with a smile “I am fine everyone. We shouldn’t worry about what it was that made me unconscious instead we should be grateful that I am okay now. And thanks you Redrick my love. I owe you one”.

“Okay. Do you need anything or feeling pain anywhere so either I or Zussorender can help with it?” King Raynold asked Esther.

“I don’t need anything or feel pain anywhere. I think I want is rest. I want to rest and I would be glad if you all let me to. After that then I will come to you all” said Esther, and laid back on the bed.

Hearing that and seeing her lying on the bed, King Raynold told the others to let her rest so they all had to leave her room. Upon getting to the door, King Raynold told the guards at the door not to let anyone into Esther's room not even the princes and the princesses.

Immediately after the great King and the others left except for the 1st Redrick who remained in the room, Esther sat down on her bed and said to the 1st Redrick “I want an explanation to all what is happening and it has to be something concrete. So move close to me”.

Redrick carried the stool inside Esther's room, went to place it in front of Esther so close to the bed, and then sat down on it. Esther asked Redrick “I need you to answer this question first, how come none of them can’t see you even though you are that obvious, not even the other Redrick?”.

“Because I am not real. I am a dead person, Esther. Let me remind you of that so it can help you think and believe all that I am about to tell you” said Redrick to Esther.

Hearing that, Esther thought for a while before saying to Redrick “if you are truly dead and there is another living Redrick here that can mean all that I have said a while ago about this place being a past was right. This is a past”.

“That is also a lie. You thought this was a past because of all that you saw. Think Esther, this past is a part that looks strange to you and even the future you check here is too perfect and peaceful to be true” said Redrick.

Esther was confused to hear that and asked “how did you know I went to the future?”.

“Because I have been right here with you the whole time. And during those times, I have been trying to get you to see me and talk to me but none worked until……. I did not even know what happened. All I know is that I was able to make you see me and then made you unconscious so you could come back to the frozen sea where I get to talk to you and then you woke up being able to see me, feel me, and talk to me” said Redrick.

“Now I get it. You are the voice that I always hear call my name and the dream of the frozen sea is because of you” said Esther.

“The voice is me trying to reach out to you but the frozen sea is not me. The frozen sea is you, trying to warn you of this place and show you what this place truly is. And me being in the dream is also trying to reach out to you but this place was made too perfect for you to know the dream was trying to warn you and tell you about this place” said Redrick.

“If this place is not a past, then where the hell is this place?” asked Esther.

“You are still in the present but at the bottom of the river of voices which you all failed to cross if you can remember that” said Redrick.

“Yes, we are trying to cross the river of voices but failed”, (Esther paused and thought for seconds), “I remember now. I was trying to save the others from the river but got stabbed by an ice sword, and then I woke up here” said Esther surprisingly.

“Now you are getting it” said Redrick.

“I was right the whole time but just didn’t know this place wasn’t a past. I thought I had returned to be past but it seemed not. Where is this place if we are at the bottom of the river?” asked Esther.

“This a world created from your memories, mind, and heart but not just yours. The memories of Hawk, Benjamin, Ryn, Lilia, Ramsay, Noah, Camelia, Tracy, Kylie, Mike, and Kinsley were also used to create this place” said Redrick.

“If I guess right, that is the work of the damn river of voices?” asked Esther with annoyance.

“This is more like you, Esther. The place was created to imprison you all making you all think you are living in a reality meanwhile you are all at the bottom of the river and all your energy is being absorbed by the river slowly to make the river more powerful. All of these are nothing but illusions. The river will absorb all your energy until you all die and wash away” said Redrick.

“If what you just said is right then I need to do something to get us out of here” said Esther.

“It is not that easy as you say it. If you can remember you were warned by the sailor to be careful that the river will try to kill you” said Redrick.

“Yes, I remember now. The river did try to kill me but here I am now I don’t think it killed me” said Esther.

“It wanted to but couldn’t so the river imprisoned you like the others after wounding you with the sword that made you weak. It sees your energy more greater than that of the others so it decides to imprison you since it can’t kill you and begins to absorb your power. But the river knows that imprisoning you would be a great risk which is why it never wants to imprison you in the first place. The river believes you are powerful enough to see through its illusions and get out of here with the others so the river did it best making this place look real and make you think you have your powers” said Redrick.

“Then that means I am the only one powerful enough to get everyone out before it is too late” said Esther.

“Yes, but it won’t be easy” said Redrick.

Esther thought for some seconds and said to Redrick “but how are you able to know all this, Redrick. You are dead and your spirit is supposed to have left”.

“I could ask you the same question. You did something to my spirit, Esther, which made it impossible for me to leave and I don’t even think you know what you did if you were asking me this question. All I know is that, after I died I woke up in a garden with a house and you next to me, and you told me this would be my new home and then left. But from that garden, I could always hear you and the others when you talked and laughed which was how I was able to know you were all in danger and have to do everything I can to save you all. It is like you found a way to keep me alive in the world” said Redrick.

“You are right. I have no idea about what you are talking about or even the garden but I am sure it was me. As for that, we will leave it for later. Do you know of a way out of here?” asked Esther.

“I don’t know but the sailor did tell you that you have to find him to survive” said Redrick.

“Yeah. He did say that. I guess we have to find him no matter where he is to get out of these illusions” said Esther.

“But do we even know who the he is?” asked Redrick, and he and Esther looked at each other confused.
