The battle lasted till midnight with no one getting tired even though many had lost their lives and many were injured. Marcelos’ armies suffered more casualties than their opponent until Marcelos ordered the retreat of his armies. After Marcelos’ armies retreated, Marcelos, Philip, Zussorader, and the armies camped outside the town closer to the town to rest till morning.

After Marcelos’ armies retreated, Nelson, Karl, Hemdal, Dawson, and the remaining armies both the wounded retreated to the town to regroup, rest, and get the wounded treated while the guards were told to guard the gate and watch Marcelos' armies movement. Marcelos’ soldiers' dead bodies that were inside the town and in the battlement were also thrown out of the town knowing Marcelos has the power to wake them and if he wakes them up while they are in the town then they might be defeated. Those dead from their side were also piled up to be buried in the morning.

MORNING

Marcelos, Zussorader, and Philip all sat down inside Marcelos' tent to talk. Philip said “we should get all the armies to attack them and wipe them all out at once”.

“We can’t do that” said Marcelos.

“Why can’t we do that? We have the number advantage and armies that can’t die” Zussorader asked Marcelos.

“You can also use the mind power on them” said Philip to Marcelos.

“I can't control them. She took over their heart and mind because of me. Their mind and heart belong to Esther and without the dark crystal, I am not powerful enough to overpower Esther. Am sure you can all see how improved they have gotten. Even the shapeshifters now knew how to use swords and had gotten better in martial arts. Their skills can be matched with that of our armies and their leaders seemed to be deadly and great fighters who are an example to them to boast their courage. So getting all the armies to attack them at once will only make their morale higher to protect their town and our armies will just keep getting killed while they lose a small amount of soldiers” said Marcelos.

“Then what do we do?” asked Philip.

“We would have been able to defeat them if they battled us head-on on not attacking us from inside the town so I think they know that which is never they never came outside to fight. They seemed also to have been preparing for us for a long time and the battlement seemed to be an advantage to their side so to win this battle we will have to do the same thing we did to Axrax to them” said Marcelos.

“You mean to keep attacking them until they eventually lose all their soldiers having little to defend our attack” Zussorader asked Marcelos.

“Yea. We wear them out. We made them lose many soldiers and hope of ever winning or continuing to defend the town. We leave them with nothing but the thought of lost and then we kill them all easily” said Marcelos.

“That is a great idea but wouldn’t it take a long time? They look good defending the town just like the Axrian soldiers defending Axrax, and their braveness looks more than that of the Axrian soldiers” said Philip.

“Even with that, we ended the Axrax reign. We have armies that can’t die so they will be the ones losing at the end. You're right it may take a long time but we will end up killing them all and then find out where the dark crystal is from them before killing them” said Marcelos.

Zussorader was confused by Marcelos’ words and he asked him “you say we could ask about the dark crystal from them. Can you feel the dark crystal in the shapeshifter town?”.

“The dark crystal is not there but I know three of the leaders leading the human army, the silver army, and the shapeshifter army” said Marcelos to Zussorader.

“Yes. Those three are those who master meant by the others. We had fought them once when we first attacked a shapeshifter town and they fought alongside the royal blood. The lady among them possessed great skills in martial arts and swordsmanship that can be compared to that of the Marcs. I had fought her once and didn’t stand a chance against her even with my magic. Her skills are extraordinary and she even has magic abilities so if you notice her you see how good she was even without her using her magic abilities” said Philip to Zussorader.

Marcelos and Zussorader were surprised to hear about Karl and Marcelos asked Philip “are you sure of her skills and her magical abilities?”.

“Yes, I fought her and I am ashamed to say this but I got defeated by her” said Philip.

Marcelos and Zussorader thought about who Karl might truly be and Zussorader said “she must be someone special we miss or don’t know about”.

“Yeah. No wonder the shapeshifters and humans got so improved. They have the silver army and she trains them. I would have loved to have someone like her by my side but it is a pity am going to have to kill her with them” said Marcelos.

“We must kill her. She is a threat to our armies since she possesses magic in her skills. Someone like her is too strong for our armies to handle and who knows she might try to make more of her and that wouldn’t be good for us seeing what she has turned the human army, shapeshifter army, and the silver army into. She is an encouraging leader. We need to kill her faster. Killing her might even bring down the courage of their armies” said Zussorader worried.

“You are right. Let the soldiers have enough rest, we attacked by noon. Tell them to also focus on her, I want her dead” said Marcelos.

“Yes, Master” said Zussorader and Philip in a union, and then left the tent leaving Marcelos who thought about who Karl was because she looked familiar to him ever since the first time he saw her but chose not to care.

By Morning, Karl, Nelson, Dawson, Hemdal, and the armies ate and then trained for a while even those that were injured except those that lost parts of their bodies. Those dead were buried and after that, they all went back to rest since there was no strategy or statistics to talk about and all they had to do was protect the gate from being breached no matter what until Esther returned with the ally.

By afternoon, Nelson, Hemdal, Karl, Dawson, and the armies were back in the battlement and some on the ground at the gate since a report was made that Marcelos had gathered his armies to attack again. They all resumed their stationed position as they awaited Marcelos’ armies.

Dawson, Hemdal, Karl, Nelson, and the armies waited ready to fight as half of Marcelos’ armies moved toward them speeding and immediately they got to the gate, those Marcelos’ armies that were dead and thrown out of the town and were returned to life and they joined the others in attacking the opposite armies.

Marcelos, Philip, and Zussorader watched as the battle fares from where they were on the horses they sat on with the remaining armies and saw no changes in the battle. The battle was the same as that of yesterday. The human army, shapeshifter army, silver army, and their leaders fight like their lives depend on it without minding what Marcelos’ armies are or their number making sure Marcelos’ armies don’t make it through the battlement into the town and even if they made it through, there is also armies waiting to take them out.

Even though Marcelos’ armies were attacking Karl the most they seemed not to be able to stop her because she now fought with her magic and sword. Marcelos and Zussorader were able to see Karl's magic and how deadly she is with her magic which got them shocked wondering who she truly was.

Seeing and realizing there was no way any of his soldiers could take a point from Karl, Marcelos requested a dark druid’s sword. A dark druid came to give Marcelos its sword and returned to its post. Seeing Marcelos take the sword, Zussorader asks what Marcelos is going to use the sword for and Marcelos replies “I want to see how good she is. Let's see if she can prove to me she is exceptional”.

Zussorader and Philip wondered what Marcelos meant by those words while Marcelos stared at Karl focusing on her. Suddenly, Zussorader and Philip saw Marcelos throw the sword forward toward Karl with a magical force.

Karl was busy killing Marcelos’ armies when she suddenly could feel the intention of a sword coming toward her to kill her even though the sword wasn’t close to her, and she kept fighting.

Marcelos, Philip, and Zussorader thought the sword was going to kill Karl because she was still fighting as the sword got closer to her thinking she wasn’t aware of the sword coming toward her. Marcelos, Zussorader, and Philip become shocked when they see Karl stop the sword with her magic. They saw Karl's left hand raise with her palm open at the sword as the sword got very close to her and the sword stopped levitating closer to her palm. Marcelos, Karl, and Philip also saw Karl kill those who attacked her at the same time she stopped the sword.

Seeing what happened, Marcelos said “she is truly exceptional”.

Marcelos, Zussorader, and Philip were still looking at Karl when they saw her look at them and then smile. Suddenly, the three of them saw Karl send the sword back to Marcelos to stab him and she continued fighting.

Marcelos tried to stop as the sword got close to him coming back to him but he wasn’t able to not until the sword got closer to his heart and stopped levitating. Seeing that made Marcelos smile and he said with a smile “this is the second time I will be seeing someone whose power can be fearsome. I think I like her”.
