As they all stared at the ruined city of the dead, Esther saw the map suddenly made some words visible closer to the mountain cave in the map and she read the words which said: “words are not entertained in the ruined city of the dead so you must never talk no matter what”.

After reading the words, Esther called the attention of everyone to the words she read on the map and they found the warning ridiculous and hard to obey. Redrick said “so we don't get to talk in there?”.

“According to the map, it is a warning” said Esther.

“But is that possible? How do you expect us to go through such a dangerous place and not communicate with each other” said Hawk.

“Yes. What if we come across danger and then what? We still refuse to talk to each other” said Benjamin.

“Yes we remain silent in there until we safely get out there” said Esther.

“We have to do this. There is no other way on the map than this. I know it is hard to remain mute going through a safe place not to talk of a dangerous place but we have to do this. The map will never give such a warning if it is not necessary which means there is a reason why we must never talk in there” said Ramsay.

“Our communication shouldn't be a problem when we have Esther. She can pass our messages through her to one another” said Noah.

Everyone reasoned what Noah said to be right then Kylie said “yes, Noah is right. Since Esther can read our minds and talk inside our heads we can use that to communicate”.

“But that will only give Esther access to our thoughts. She will know everything” said Mike, thinking it was a bad idea.

“And when do you think I don't know everything? I know every secret you guys kept from each other but because I promise not to read your minds, I never said it out or acted with or against it. There are only three people I can't read their minds here which are Noah, Hawk, and Ramsay. I could no longer read Ramsay's mind because of the sword which has prevented Ramsay's mind from being invaded. But I can forcefully read Ramsay's mind because I own it” said Esther.

“If you can't read their mind then they can't be able to talk to you but you can talk to them” said Lilia.

“There is no need for that. All we need to do is agree to listen to the warning together” said Ramsay.

They all agreed not to talk to each other in the cave and got themselves (medieval) wooden torches each knowing the cave might be dark. They all climbed through the bridge with their things and weapons into the mountain.

As they all stepped into the mountain through the cave, they all saw the inside of the mountain very wide and dark, and from where they were standing there was nothing they could step on because the mountain had a very wide crevasse that was separating the rock from each other except a bridge made of rock that passes on top of the wide crevasse leading from where they stood to another cave inside the mountain. They saw the distance from where they stood to the other side of the bridge passing through the bridge was not far and decided to take the bridge to the cave they saw.

As they walked through the bridge, they began to hear screaming coming from inside the crevasse but they could not talk to one another about it because of the warning. They all stopped walking and looked inside the crevasse with their wooden torches thinking they might see something but they saw nothing except darkness and wondered why they were all hearing screams from inside the crevasse but continued walking since there was nothing they could do about the screaming. They all tried to talk to one another using Esther as a means of communication except the three who knew Esther would never be able to hear them if they tried to talk to her, but Esther did not hear any of them.

A journey that was supposed to take minutes through the bridge to the cave which they were looking right in front of them but just a few distances, was taking hours, and not just that, they all tried talking to Esther but she did not hear anyone speak in their mind nor did the screaming stopped. Esther finds it suspicious that ever since they entered the mountain none of them has tried to talk to her which was unusual of them not to talk to her knowing the kind of person they are. Esther tried talking to every one of them even Hawk, Noah, and Ramsay but no one responded to her, and that made Esther think that maybe everyone just wished to remain silent till they got out of the mountain.

Hours passed again and they still hadn't gotten to the cave they were all looking at but halfway on the bridge and were still on the bridge. They were all getting tired of walking and had been talking to Esther through their minds who refused to talk back to them then Benjamin decided to get closer to Esther to ask why she was not responding to him.

Esther, Ramsay, Noah, Hawk, and Kinsley had become suspicious that something was wrong with the mountain or else they wouldn't have been walking for hours on the bridge and wouldn't get to the cave that was not far from them. Ramsay, Esther, and Noah also couldn't feel their magic ever since they stepped inside the mountain nor could Ramsay feel the magic in his sword but they chose not to mind it. Ryn, Hawk, and Benjamin also find something off about them ever since they step inside the mountain but they choose not to mind it. The five of them found something wrong with the mountain and the continuous screaming sound they were hearing.

Esther was still thinking about the mountain, what might be going on, and looking around the mountain when Benjamin arrived beside her and used his hand to demonstrate to Esther that he had been talking to her and she refused to talk back to him. Esther understands him and tries talking in his head to tell him she has been talking to everyone also and no one responded to her but Benjamin doesn't hear and thinks instead of Esther answering him she was just staring at him, and that annoyed him. Benjamin glares at Esther and talks inside his mind asking Esther what is wrong with her but Esther doesn't hear and is still waiting for a response from Benjamin.

Benjamin stopped Esther from continuing to walk making Redrick, Noah, Ryn, Kinsley, and Kylie behind Esther stop walking as he also stopped then Benjamin said in his mind to Esther that if she didn't answer him then she would not move but Esther didn't hear him and was talking inside Benjamin's head asking him why did he stop her. Redrick and Kylie moved closer to Esther and Benjamin then Redrick and Kylie used their hands to ask Esther what is happening between the both of her and Benjamin. Esther talked in Redrick’s and Kylie's heads that she had no idea what is going on but they didn't hear her and thought she was just staring at them then they used their hands to demonstrate to Esther that Esther should talk in their heads. Esther said in their head that she had but they did not hear her and thought she was just still staring at them then Esther looked at Benjamin, Redrick, and Kylie and realized they seemed not to be hearing her.

Esther looked at Lilia, Mike, Camelia, Hawk, Ramsay, and Tracy, and talked in their heads telling them to stop walking but they didn't nor did they look back making Esther realize none of them were hearing her and she also seemed not to be able to hear them which means something is wrong with the mountain.

Just then Benjamin angrily said out loud with his mouth to Esther “have been talking to you for a long time now and you refused to reply to me. What the hell is wrong with you”.

Ramsay, Hawk, Lilia, Tracy, Camelia, and Mike were surprised when they heard Benjamin talk and that made them stop walking and look back to see the others were surprised to hear Benjamin talk which meant he had violated the warning. Kylie asked Benjamin “why would you talk?”, making Benjamin realize he had spoken out loud.

Esther said to everyone “something is wrong with this mountain we need to get out of it right now”.

Everyone was surprised to hear Esther talk too but Redrick asked Esther “what is happening?”.

“This mountain isn't just a normal mountain. There is something wrong with it. Run everybody” said Esther.

Ramsay, Noah, Kinsley, and Hawk already suspected something was wrong with the mountain so they believed Esther and they all began to run. As they all run toward the cave, Benjamin still asks Esther why she refuses to answer him. Esther made everyone realize she didn't refuse to answer everyone but the mountain was preventing her from hearing them and them from hearing her. Ramsay also made everyone realize that something is truly wrong with the mountain because he could no longer feel his magic and his sword magic. Kinsley also made everyone realize that the mountain is preventing them from getting to the cave which is why they had been walking on the bridge for hours now. Esther also told everyone to be prepared for the consequences of talking inside the mountain when they were told not to.

Even with them running as fast as they could they still could not get to the mountain they were looking right in front of them and that made Esther look at her legs and what she saw was shocking to her. Esther saw the bridge running the way they were running but the bridge was running backward which meant the bridge was preventing them from moving forward or getting to the cave.

Esther told the others to look at their legs and they were shocked to see the same thing she saw. Lilia asked “what do we do now?”, as they continued running.

“Let's see if I can get an answer from the map” said Esther, and took the map out.

Esther looked at the map and saw new words became visible on the map which said “the way to get out of the mountain after breaking the rule of not talking is to fight with the dead and you shall call upon them by saying “we welcome the dead into our mist”.

Esther told the others what the map said and kept the map back then Ryn asked “what does the map mean by the dead?”.

“How do I know about that? I have no idea what it means by the dead” said Esther.

“Haven't you seen this part of the future?” Tracy asked Esther.

“I told you this is a possible future that I don't know much about. It is a future that can also work on itself to make sure the result we wanted is intact” said Esther.

“The dead the map talked about won't be a good thing. I don't think calling upon the dead is a good thing. I don't think am fit enough to fight, judging am still recovering” said Mike.

“You are okay, Mike. Your wound won't hurt you now” said Esther.

“Do I even know why the wound hurt me? Just don't call the dead. Can't you guys just use your magic?” said Mike.

“If we can't feel our magic, it means magic is useless in here. We can't use it” said Noah.

“If the mountain doesn't mind keeping us in here forever I guess we should fight. If fighting dead is the only way we can get out of here I suggest we do. Or do you all want to be here till eternity?” said Kinsley.

“Kinsley is right. We have to fight the dead that is the only way we can get out of here and the map has never been wrong” said Hawk.

“But we don't know what the dead is. We might as well be conjuring things that we might not be a match for and we will all end up dead” said Camelia.

“We need to fight. Doesn't even the continuous screaming sound annoying? I want to get out of here” said Redrick.

“It is better to die fighting than keep running towards a cave we will never get to. Am sure running backward isn't even an option if the mountain intends to keep us here till we die” said Ramsay

They all agreed to call upon and fight the dead as they continued running then Esther called upon the dead. Immediately Esther said those words, they all slowly stopped running as they were surprised to see the bridge which was small become very long that the distance to the cave and back to where they came from was now very far. They also heard the screaming sound getting close to them making them look into the crevasse with their wooden torches to still see darkness.

As they looked into the crevasse and hadn't seen what was making the screaming sound yet, Lilia asked “What the hell is going on?”.

Just then they saw skeletons crawling out of the crevasse using the rock toward the bridge and the skeletons were dressed in armor and holding weapons (like swords, axes, spears, and fails), and were the ones screaming.

They were shocked and scared to see the skeletons and they couldn't seem to estimate their number cause they were many. Redrick said “oh no”, and Ramsay said “I think we better get back to our running”.

They all continue to run toward the cave but they haven't gotten anywhere close to the cave when they see many of the skeletons get to the bridge a few distances in front of them and they all stop running and turn back to run backward. But as they all turned back they saw many of the skeletons on the bridge a few distances from them too.

They all moved closer to each other looking at the skeletons at their right and left sides that were now walking toward them realizing there was no way to run to, then they looked into the crevasse to see more skeletons crawling out of it. Kinsley said “now I get why they called it the ruined city of the dead”.
