Ramsay and Esther unsheathed their swords and attacked Marcelos’s armies to keep them busy while the others escaped.

Ramsay was someone trained by his late father, his late uncle, and the Marcs in martial arts and swordsmanship. Ramsay is now also someone trained by the great Kings making him one of the greatest swordsmen and martial arts men that ever lived. Ramsay's skills are now getting closer to being compared to that of Marcelos.

As Ramsay fought Marcelos’ armies with Esther, Ramsay was shocked by how skillful he had become in fighting with the sword, it was like it was an entirely new him he had no idea about was fighting. Ramsay had no trouble killing or taking off part of the body of any of Marcelos’ armies that fought him, in a second or minutes. Ramsay realizes he has become more powerful than he was once with the sword and uses that to kill Marcelos’ armies brutally. Ramsay was also shocked that any of Marcelos’ armies he killed with the sword burst up in flames and became ashes so they would not be revived by Marcelos. Ramsay loved how powerful the sword had made him become and how enhanced his magic had become thanks to the sword. Ramsay could even use his sword as a passageway for his magic, throw his sword at anything or anyone, and call it back, and his sword is powerful enough to embody his magic.

As Esther continues to fight Marcelos’ armies, she sees how pleased Ramsay is with his sword. Esther saw how shocked he was to see what he could do with the sword and how fast he had become in his skills thanks to his sword. Esther smiled as they both continued to fight Marcelos’ armies glancing at Ramsay which is the reason why she sent the others to leave so Ramsay could test his new power on Marcelos’ armies.

Esther and Ramsay had killed as many as they could in Marcelos’ armies before they saw Marcelos, his Marcs, Philip, and other Marcelos’ armies on their rides coming slowly toward them then Esther suggested they escape.

Seeing both Ramsay and Esther fighting his armies, Marcelos knew he was right about Esther using her ability to see the future against him which is how she was able to revive Ramsay. Marcelos also watched how Ramsay fought with the sword he was holding which made him look powerful
even though the sword didn't look like the sword that struck him with lightning but he knew it was the same sword because he could feel the energy of the sword as Ramsay fought with it. Seeing the sword that is said to be powerful enough to kill him in the hands of Ramsay, Marcelos decides that he has to kill Ramsay since he is the master of the sword and Ramsay hates him enough to want his death.

Marcelos ordered Philip, the Marcs, and his other armies to attack Ramsay and Esther, then Marcelos’s, Marcs’, Philip’s, and the other Marcelos’ armies’ rides ran toward Ramsay and Esther to get to them before they decided to escape. Seeing Marcelos and his other armies speedily coming toward them, Esther and Ramsay fought through Marcelos’ armies to each other, and when they got to each other they held hands and disappeared.

Marcelos and his other armies were closer to Esther and Ramsay when they saw them escape magically, and that made Marcelos angry.

Marcelos was able to revive his soldiers killed by Esther but the ones killed by Ramsay could not be revived which made Marcelos realize how powerful the sword can be and how dangerous the sword is in the hands of Ramsay whom Esther had turned his back against and made his purpose to killing him which is why he has to kill Ramsay quick and find a way to destroy the sword.

The princes, the princesses, Benjamin, Hawk, Lilia, and Ryn stopped running when Mike went unconscious after his chest stopped hurting. They all decided to rest for the night at the place they stopped in the forest with the thought that Esther and Ramsay would find them even though they were worried about the both of them. Mike was taken down from Hawk by Redrick and Kinsley then Hawk took his human form back.

Very early in the morning, Lilia, Noah, and Redrick were the first to wake up looking ahead at the road they came through waiting for Ramsay and Esther to show up.

When the others woke up and couldn't find Lilia, Redrick, and Noah they looked for them and met them where they stood on the road waiting for Esther and Ramsay to show up then they called them to talk. Mike was now feeling okay after he woke up in the morning.

They all gathered around to talk. Hawk said “we need to continue the journey without Ramsay and Esther”.

Everyone was confused to hear Hawk say that then Lilia asked Hawk “why would you want us to continue the journey without them?”.

“Because that is what they would want” said Hawk.

“And how do you know that? I can't continue this journey about them” said Redrick to Hawk, refusing to continue the journey.

“You are only saying that because of Esther when you forget the only one amongst all of us here that can cheat death is Esther. Esther is powerful enough to take care of herself and can avert any danger so it is certain she and Ramsay will be safe” said Hawk to Redrick.

“Hawk is right. They said they would find us when they were done so am sure they are on their way right now. We should continue the journey Esther will find us” said Noah.

“I won't leave until I see Esther and she tells me why the wound in my chest is hurting so much. She is the one who made this happen to me so I need her to always be beside me until she finds a way to close my wound and heal me completely. Am not going anywhere without her” said Mike.

“We can't stay here, Mike. You will definitely get to see Esther ‘cause she will find us. We shouldn't forget we have dark armies and their monstrous ruler who are on our tail and are hell-bent on killing us. We shouldn't be resting because the more we rest the more they are getting closer to us. We need to keep moving right now so we can stay clear of Marcelos and his armies that is what Esther and Ramsay would have wanted which is why they stayed behind to fight Marcelos’ armies” said Kinsley.

They all agreed to continue their journey and get their things. As they continue their journey following the map, Redrick and Lilia don't feel they made the right decision leaving Ramsay and Esther behind.

Esther was standing pouring water from inside a can to the firewood to turn off the fire while Ramsay was seated cleaning his sword with his clothes as he stared at his sword. Ramsay asked Esther “how are going to locate the others?”.

“Have you forgotten who I am?” said Esther with a smile.

“Oh sorry. It skips my mind” said Ramsay.

“I can even see them right now. They have continued the journey with the thought that that is what we would have wanted” said Esther.

“Since we can get to them later they should continue the journey” said Ramsay.

“Yeah” said Esther, and dropped the can after the water in it had finished then she picked up her sword in its sheath on the ground.

Esther looked back at Ramsay to see him cleaning his sword as he stared at it thinking of how great the sword was when he used it. Esther smiled and asked Ramsay “how is your sword?”.

Ramsay smirked hearing that and said “am sure you already know all it is that you are expecting me to tell you. You already know everything. The sword had made me more powerful than I thought. But why didn't you tell me about those things beforehand?”.

“You might not believe me if I tell you so I had to make you witness it yourself and now you have” said Esther.

Ramsay raised the sword looking at it and said “I don't think I deserved such a powerful and grand sword. The sword should have been given to someone far better than me. The sword carries the strength and powers of the great Kings that have wielded it before me. I don't think it should have become mine. I don't think am worthy of it”.

“The owner of the sword created the sword giving the sword its will to choose whosoever it wishes to be its master. Indeed I changed the future but if the sword doesn't want you to be its master it never accepts you or lets you access its powers. The sword is conscious itself. So don't think I was the one that chose you ‘cause the sword also chose you so did the great Kings. The sword wants you to be its master and the sword has never been wrong about its choice in choosing who to be its master”.

“How powerful do you think I have become with the sword?” asked Ramsay, still staring at the sword.

“I don't know. I don't know the full potential of the sword only the owner knows its potential so you can ask him yourself” said Esther with a smile.

Ramsay sheath his sword and stood and then said “I don't think that will be possible. The great Kings had never talked to me except to train me how to use and master the sword's power. They also taught me swordsmanship and how to use my magic. They don't talk to me except when I have questions concerning my training”.

“That doesn't mean you can't talk to him or ask him questions” said Esther with a smile.

“Am sure you have met him and can see how serious he always looks and loves to be. Even my father and grandfather don't talk to me. They are all about me mastering the sword and strict” said Ramsay.

Esther smiled and said “you should try asking him. Don't forget he is your forefather so you should be able to talk to him”.

“Have heard you. Let’s go” said Ramsay, and they began their journey.

As they walked, Ramsay asked Esther “aren't we going to do something about Marcelos? Having him on our tail is not good and he wants to kill us. Shouldn't we do something?”.

“There is nothing we can do to stop than to find a way to close the cut on Mike’s chest to sever the Marcs’ connection with him so he can be unmarked and we don't have the power to heal the wound right now. We also don't stand a chance against Marcelos for now. I need you to also stay away from Marcelos until you finish your training with the great Kings. Having Marcelos distracted is good enough for the world” said Esther.

“Okay. How long is it gonna take before we get to the others?” asked Ramsay.

“That depends on the way they move. The only way to get to the castle is dangerous and the map is the only way to get there so they might want to slow down their movement so we can get to them fast before they get to the first place on the map” said Esther.

After traveling for a few days, the princes, princesses, Benjamin, Ryn, Hawk, and Lilia got to the cliff in the afternoon where they met Ramsay and Esther waiting for them and were surprised to see both of them. They were all happy to see Esther and Ramsay and hugged them happily telling them they had been worried about not seeing them for those few days. They also asked both of them how they were able to get to the cliff before them without the map and Esther told them not to worry about that.

Redrick gave the map to Esther as they all stood close to each other staring at the wooden bridge and the mountain cave from the cliff. There was a wooden bridge that linked the cliff to a mountain cave, and the top of the mountain was in the shape of a human skull.

Esther said “so this is the first place on the map”, looking at the map.

“Yes. According to the map, this place is called “The Ruin City of the Dead” said Hawk.
