The Kings, Lord Emmanuel, the princes, the princesses, the ministers, Zussorender, the generals, the head wizards, Hawk, and the head guard were all present in the council hall seated looking anxious and unhappy. Lord Emmanuel was now made the regent since the great King remain unconscious after fainting in the last battle after he activated the magical barrier that now protect Axrax. Lord Emmanuel was seated on a chair placed in front of the throne and Noah was seated on another chair next to lord Emmanuel while the others sat down opposite each other. The Kings, the ministers, the princes, the princesses, and the head guard were seated on the right side of the hall while on the left side of the hall were Zussorender, the generals, and the head wizards seated. The prime minister said ''it has been three days now that the barrier has risen to protect us and there seems to be peace and no battle. It is also has been three days since his royal majesty remain unconscious. How will it take for his royal majesty to regain consciousness''.

''We wizards have tried all we can but we are unable to heal his royal majesty's wound or make him conscious. We all know that the Marc's sword he was stabbed with was a dark magical sword and the magic from the sword is infecting the great King's wound making the great King weak, remaining unconscious, and preventing us from healing his wound. So getting his royal majesty to be conscious is not sure'' said Zussorender to the ministers.

''Then try every spell you know'' said Minister for Health to Zussorender.

''We have tried every spell we know even the ones we don't. The Marcs and the Marcs' swords were created from the power in the dark crystal and we all know how powerful that crystal is. The dark magic that is infecting his royal majesty's wound is preventing us from healing his royal majesty wound with spells or potions, and we can't seem to find a way to stop the dark magic in him infecting his wound. Even with every one of us magic combines we can't stop the dark magic because we have tried that. We have tried all we could'' said Rama to the ministers.

''Then are we just going to watch as his royal majesty remains unconscious'' said the vice prime minister.

''Everyone already knows about what am about to say except you ministers. If the dark magic in his royal majesty is only making his royal majesty weak and unconscious that will be good and at least we will still have hope to keep trying. The dark magic isn't just badly affecting his royal majesty's wound but it is also badly affecting his body. The dark magic is killing his royal majesty slowly'' said Zussorender to the ministers.

The ministers were terrified to hear that and looked at the others to see Zussorender was telling the truth. The minister for information said ''we can't let his royal majesty die. Not now''.

''And do you think there is any of us here that want his death? We have tried everything we can do and do things we thought we can't even do but everything fails'' said Guzen.

''There must be a way to save his royal majesty you wizards just don't know it'' said the minister for war.

''Yes, there is a way but the way we kill us wizards'' said Lucien.

''What is that way?'' asked the minister for finance.

''The power in the dark crystal. Since the power in the dark crystal is what creates the Marc's sword and let's say we were able to get dark crystal then we can use the power in it to stop the dark magic from continuing to infect his royal majesty by finding a way to reverse the dark magic work in his royal majesty using the power in the dark crystal to convince the dark magic in his royal majesty'' said Agmus.

''Then why don't we go get it?'' said the vice prime minister.

''First of all, the thought of getting the crystal is crazy, and trying to get the crystal is a suicide mission. And the second is that, even if we get the crystal none of us can withhold the power in the dark crystal. Any of the wizards that try to will be consumed by the power in the dark crystal and will result in death. The power in the dark crystal is made for Marcelos only'' said Rama.

The ministers felt heartbroken to hear that. The prime minister asked Zussorender ''How long does the great King have?''.

''We don't know. A day, a week, or a month. We don't know. We don't even know how the dark magic works inside him'' said Zussorender to the prime minister.

''We are really in a mess even though we are out of the reach of Marcelos and his armies'' said King Josh.

''What do we do now?'' asked King Marcus but there was no answer from anyone.

There was silence in the hall for a while as everyone thought then lord Emmanuel breaks the silence and said ''We do everything we can to keep Axrax in order. We keep the secret of the great King's health from the people. We monitor Marcelos and his armies' moves because we can't be sure we are perfectly safe and they would just sit by doing nothing. The wizards will also continue to take care of his royal majesty and continue to find a way to save his royal majesty. The armies are to rest for a week and after that, they begin training back to prepare because we can't let our guard down. The generals are to see if we can raise an army, and the ministers are to make sure the kingdom moves smoothly and assure the people they are safe under the barrier''.

''Yes, your grace'' said everyone in a union.

After the meeting, everyone went to check on the great King to see how he fares.

Inside Zussorader's tent were Zussorader, Philip, Lilia, and Ramsay seated on chairs surrounding a small table. Zussorader asked Ramsay ''it has been three days and Master refuses to see or talk to anyone. How is Master doing?''.

''He is still very angry and hurt seeing the soldiers' death. He still doesn't want to talk to anyone even the Marcs except me'' said Ramsay.

''Then what is it that he talks with you?'' Philip asked Ramsay.

''Would you believe me if I tell you he never talk to me'' said Ramsay.

Zussorader and Philip were confused to hear that. Philip asked Ramsay ''if he doesn't talk to you then why did he always want to see you?''.

''Ramsay said all master will do is make him sit opposite him and then they will stare at each other for a long time and when he decided that it is okay he will then tell Ramsay to leave'' said Lilia to Zussorader and Philip.

Zussorader and Philip found what Lilia said hard to believe. Zussorader said ''that sounds untrue''.

''I wish it were. That is all we do for the past three days. I think he is very hurting and doesn't know how to talk to anyone about it or doesn't want people to know he is hurting inside but I know he is. Master sees us all as his children so how does it feel when a child dies an agony death in front of his parent'' said Ramsay.

''He must also be so sad'' said Philip.

''We should all let him be. He will come around'' said Zussorader.

''I think you should also talk to the Marcs and Bane because they also look so sad. I think they are also feeling whatsoever he is feeling'' said Lilia.

''I will do that'' said Zussorader.

''Not you father. We all know they all loves Ramsay more than we all except Master. Even Master loves Ramsay more than we all. They will only listen to him'' said Lilia.

''Okay, I will do that'' said Ramsay.

A MONTH LATER

The barrier stood still protecting Axrax no matter how much anger Marcelos vent on it every night he sneak out of his tent to hit the barrier with different magical things. Marcelos still refuses to see or talk to anyone but only Ramsay and all they do is stared at each other every time.

Lord Emmanuel, the Kings, the wizards, Hawk, the head guard, the princes, and the princesses continue to do everything they can to save the great King but his condition only continues to get worse. Noah even tries to contact Esther maybe she may know of a way to save his father but he couldn't. The generals had a raise of a thousand soldiers within a month and are still raising more while they hope the great King gets well, and the other armies continue to train. The people of Axarx also lived in peace under the barrier and the supervision of the ministers.

One afternoon, King Raynold who lying on the bed unconscious as the blanket covered only the lower part of his body suddenly regain consciousness and open his eyes but only the head guard was inside the great King's chamber. Seeing the great King regain consciousness the head guard left to go get the others. At the same time the great King regain consciousness, the magical barrier protecting Axrax became weak and crack signs could be seen all over the barrier.

Marcelos was inside his tent alone when he suddenly felt something was wrong with the barrier then he went outside to check on the barrier. Marcelo went to the barrier and saw that it has weaken then he smiled as he said to himself "It worked". Marcelos returned to his camp and tell some of his soldiers to get him Zussorader, Ramsay, Philip, Lilia, and the Marcs.

Zussorader, Philip, Ramsay, Lilia, and the Marcs walked into Marcelos' tent and met Marcelos standing. Immediately they walked into the tent, Marcelos kissed Ramsay on the forehead and hug him saying thank you.

Ramsay, Zussorader, Philip, and Lilia were confused about why Marcelos did that so Ramsay couldn't hug Marcelos back because he didn't know what he did for Marcelos for him to kiss his forehead and thanked him but they all knew Marcelos was happy. Marcelos separated from Ramsay then Ramsay asked Marcelos ''what is it we are celebrating?''.

''Victory'' said Marcelos.

''What victory?'' Ramsay asked Marcelos.

''The barrier protecting Axrax will be brought down soon so we need to be prepared'' said Marcelos.

Zussorader, Lilia, Philip, and Ramsay were confused to hear that. Zussorader said to Marcelos ''am not saying you are wrong master but we all know the only way the barrier can be brought down is if the great King brings it down or he dies''.

''What do you think I have been doing for a month? Do you think me inviting Ramsay over was just for fun?'' said Marcelos.

Ramsay, Zussorader, Lilia, and Philip were confused again to hear that. Ramsay asked Marcelos ''and what does that supposed to mean?''.

''When the barrier was brought up and I had to watch my soldiers die it is true that I was sad and angry but that only lasted for a night. After that day I thought and I was able to come up with a plan to bring down the barrier. The great King was stabbed with the Marc's sword and the Marc's was created with my dark power's magic which means my dark magic is infused in that sword so all I had to do is find who is related to the great King which is Ramsay. Since Ramsay and the great King are related by blood and a love bond, so I used that connection to access the great King and my dark magic in the great King. With that, I was able to use the dark magic inside the great King to infect the great King, killing him slowly'' said Marcelos.

Zussorader and Philip were shocked and happy to hear Marcelos could do that while Lilia was shocked but not happy and pretend to be, and Ramsay was shocked but don't know whether to be happy or not. Lilia asked Marcelos ''then what has now happened to the great King?''.

''He will be dead in any minute from now which is why the barrier has gotten weak and once he is dead the barrier will come down deactivating'' said Marcelos.

''I still don't understand. But all we do is just stare at each other'' said Ramsay to Marcelos.

''Yes, to you that is what we were doing but I was doing something else. Am sure you remember there was time we hold hands and close our eyes'' said Marcelos.

Ramsay remembered and said with a smile to Marcelos ''yeah. So, you were using me the whole time to get to my father. You are really clever master''.

''You could say that. Let go. We have to prepare the army they have waited enough. Victory will be ours today'' said Marcelos and walked out of the tent with the Marcs.

Zussorader and Philip also left but Ramsay stayed behind making Lilia stay also. Ramsay doesn't know whether to be happy or sad hearing that he was used by Marcelos so Marcelos could get to his father and that his father will die anytime soon because he lost his old him. Lilia stood in front of Ramsay and made him look into her eyes then Lilia said to Ramsay ''listen to me carefully Ramsay".

Lord Emmanuel, the Kings, the princes, the princesses, Zussorender, Hawk, the head wizards, and the head guard walked into the great King's chamber and saw that the great King has regain consciousness and had woken up but still lying on the bed. They all moved closer to the bed to be close to the great King then Noah kneel beside his father as he called his father and hold his right hand. Lord Emmanuel asked the great King ''are you okay, brother?''.

King Raynold weakly said ''we don't have much time. You need to get everyone now'', as he tries to sit up.

Lord Emmanuel and Noah helped the great King sit on the bed by helping him raise his body and putting his legs on the floor even though the great King was hurting from his wound and greatly weak then Lord Emmanuel said to the King ''you shouldn't sit. You need to rest''.

''There is no time for that, brother. I want you all to gather everyone and the people right now'' said King Raynold weakly.

''What are you talking about father?'' Noah asked his father just then a soldier ran into the great King's chambers and fall to his knees which everyone saw.

The head guard wanted to scold the soldier for running into the great King's chamber but King Josh told the head guard not to and asked the soldier what was it that happened that he has to run into the great King's chamber.

The soldier answered ''Marcelos and all his armies are stationed in front of the barrier in front of the west gate'', just then a wizard walked hurriedly into the great King's chamber and fall to his knees. The wizard said to everyone without no one asking ''something is wrong with the barrier''.

Everyone in the great King's chamber became shocked and worried to hear what both the soldier and wizard said except the great King.
