School resumed and every student was back to start a new season, including Blessing and Victoria. Both of them resumed school still having Mr. Adewale’s ATM card with them since he left them with it so they don’t go broke.

Everything was going fine in school and most of the students in school were surprised when they saw Blessing without his mask. They were all shocked to see Blessing living freely revealing his scar. They also saw that he didn’t care about what they said or thought of him because he wasn’t ashamed anymore.

Blessing only hangs out with Victoria and their friends in school. They all had less fun since school resumed so they could face their study. They didn’t do much partying because they were always busy, and the little time they got together was in the school, around the community, or house.

Blessing and Victoria remained who they were, and they called and received calls from their grandma and Blessing's family. Blessing and Victoria keep living their lives the way they want to without caring about whatever it is that people say.

It was afternoon and Blessing had just finished class, so he made his way to the school dining hall carrying his books to meet Victoria and their friends who told him that is where they were, and they were waiting for him before they ate.

Blessing was on his way to the school dining hall on foot when he heard someone's trembling voice pleading that she should be left alone. Hearing that, Blessing knew the voice he was hearing had got to be the voice of someone being bullied.

Even though Blessing stopped when he heard the person's trembling voice, he chose to mind his business and continued to be on his way, but he couldn’t ignore the fact that someone was being bullied right close to him and he was going to allow that.

Blessing knows what it feels like to be bullied or being bullied, so he was not going to allow that since he was once a victim. The voice of the person was also making him get angry as he heard, it, and that kind of ignited him to go meet whoever was bullying the girl.

Blessing followed the trembling voice he was hearing since the voice was coming from a place close to him. Blessing followed the voice to the back of one of the school buildings where he saw 4 girls bullying a girl who was on his knees with her head bowed.

Blessing could see the 4 girls using their hands to hit the other girl's head, saying painful and abusive words to the other girl while the other girl pleaded to them with a trembling and tearful voice to please leave her alone. Blessing also saw books that seemed to belong to the other girl being bullied scattered on the ground close to them.

Blessing stopped closer to the 4 girls, but they didn’t notice Blessing because they were too focused on the other girl they were bullying as they smiled enjoying what they were doing. Then Blessing said to the four girls, “I don’t understand how you all enjoy toying and torturing a human like you. As a matter of fact, a girl like you”.

The girls were startled upon hearing Blessing and what he said to them because it came so suddenly to them since they didn’t know he was standing close to them. The girls calmed themselves and took a deep breath.

All four girls took a comprehensive look at Blessing who was staring at them patiently, then one of the girls said with annoyance to Blessing “and how the fuck is that your business? What the fuck are you even doing here?”.

“You made it mine when you decided to become bullies and bully her,” said Blessing with a calm and straight voice to the girls to show he was serious.

“Are you now the police or prefect for bullying or what?” said the 4th girl teasingly with a smile to Blessing, while the 3 other girls smiled.

Then the 2nd girl said teasingly with a smile “Maybe he thinks he is lord Zuko. The lord of the fire bender with the big scar who has come to rain fire on the bullies”.

“Get the fuck out of here, and run to Victoria like the kid you have always been” said the 1st girl teasingly to Blessing.

The girls all jeered at Blessing, but Blessing calmed himself even though he was boiling in anger from the inside because Victoria had told him not to hurt anyone no matter what they did to him.

However, Blessing lets all the girls stop laughing at him before he says bluntly to the girls “if one sees you all, they will think you are the bright and intelligent girls you all look to be, whereas they wouldn’t know you are nothing but devil with ugly faces. The funny thing about you guys is that you all think you smiled brightly and had beautiful faces, but you all smiled like a desiccated mermaid, looking monstrous with worms crawling out of her body. The first time, I am seeing demons looks beautiful. You don’t deserve………..”.

The four girls couldn’t believe what Blessing was saying to them as he spoke to them, and the girls could be seen looking all over their bodies as they imagined what Blessing was saying to them. The girls could also be seen touching their bodies at the same which Blessing doesn’t seem to care.

Blessing was cut short of words when the girls could no longer take any more of his hurting, painful, and crazy abusive words that he was raining on them so they ran away almost crying.

After the girls ran off to wherever they were going, Blessing looked at the other girl who was bullied to see that she remained on her knees with her head bowed, and she had just stopped smiling. Seeing her just stop smiling, Blessing made a soft smile because that meant the girl was smiling while he abused the other girls who bullied her.

Blessing moved closer to the girl and was about to touch her and tell her that it was fine and she could stand up, but Blessing saw the girl suddenly stand up and run away. Blessing was confused when he saw the girl run off without saying a word to him.

Blessing wondered if the girl ran off because she was scared of him since he appeared to be a person with abusive words to her, but Blessing thought that could not have been the reason because he only did that to chase the other girls away, and she kind of enjoys him abusing the girls too.

Blessing couldn’t think of a genuine reason why the girl would suddenly run away after he helped her, then Blessing thought he had to mind his business and return to his path. Blessing was about to leave when he saw the girl's books on the ground, and he thought he should help her with it.

Blessing had just finished picking up the girl’s books and arranging them with his books on his left arm before he realized how the hell was he going to give the girl her books back. Blessing realizes that he doesn’t know the girl's name, isn’t able to see her face, or knows anything about her that can make him recognize her if she sees her again.

Blessing thought of dropping the books back there, thinking the girl would come back for her books, but he thought to himself that the girl was never going to come back to that place since the place would only make her remember things that would make her sad. Blessing took the girl's books with him thinking of a way he was going to get the books back to the girl.

Since the strange girl was a schoolmate of his, Blessing made it his duty to find the girl and give her the books back. Blessing started by placing papers on which he wrote “I have your books come to find me or call me”, at the doorsteps of each classroom in the school.

However, that didn’t work even though Blessing tried it for 3 days because no one came to find Blessing nor did he receive a phone call from anyone who says she was looking for her books or the girl. Blessing thought maybe the girl didn’t see the message he left for her in the papers because he knew how their schoolmates could be.

Blessing then went to place the girl’s books on the ground at the root of the big tree in the middle of the school since there was no way anyone would walk the school without seeing the whole of the big tree. Blessing placed the book there so the girl would be able to see her books there and take them.

Blessing also didn’t go to class that day and hid someplace looking at the books at the big tree because he wanted to make sure it was the girl who came to take her books and not just anyone. However, no one came for the books till the school closed, and Blessing did not see the girl among everyone that he saw pass by the big tree looking at the books.

Blessing went to take the books back when he wanted to go home and he wondered if the girl had stopped coming to school because of what happened the other day, but Blessing didn’t think that was what happened. Blessing decided to come up with another plan to find the girl and give the girl her books back.

Victoria had noticed that something had been off about Blessing lately which kind of made her worried. Victoria saw that Blessing was always waking very early in the morning to go to school at a time when the school might not have even opened for the day. Victoria also saw that he was always carrying books that didn’t belong to him, and his mind always seemed to be somewhere else whenever they were together.

Victoria asked Blessing if everything was okay with him and he said yes. Victoria also asked Blessing who owned the books he was always carrying around and he told Victoria not to worry about it.

Victoria knew Blessing gave her wrong answers and something was up with him which had to do with the books he was always carrying around but Victoria didn’t want to pester him to tell her the truth so she left him to do his thing.
