Ch. 17Chapter 16

Blaire and Chaos were greeted by the council and their friends. Blaire also found out that they hadn't been outside the game for two days, only inside.

"Students! I want to congratulate those who endured the game, especially the two winners. Because of your courage, skill, and intelligence, you have surpassed the challenges of the game. Because of that, you have proven to yourselves that you can face the challenges in life," emphasized the HM.

"But that doesn't mean the trials within this school will end there. Be prepared and strengthen yourselves — bring out your true abilities. And to those who didn't last in the game? I warmly congratulate you all. I also ask for forgiveness for the unexpected events in the game. But I'm happy that you all returned safely! Again, congratulations to all of you!" he added. Everyone applauded except for Blaire, who was slumped on the side of the arena because she really wanted to rest.

After that, they bid each other farewell, and Blaire immediately headed to her dorm with Aubrey.

Upon arriving in her room, she quickly took a shower because she was starting to feel itchy, then Aubrey invited her to eat. While they were at the table, Aubrey kept talking while Blaire ate quietly.

"You know, Snow? Chanon was really a gentleman when we were inside the game," Aubrey shared with her. She paused eating and looked elsewhere as if she had something on her mind, then smiled as if she was giddy, then resumed eating.

She wanted to tell her not to trust too much because she felt something different about the guy, but she chose not to say anything. Whatever happened, she was ready to protect her.

"So, how's your prince charming?" Aubrey suddenly asked her. She furrowed her brows because she didn't know who she was referring to.

"What are you talking about?" she asked Aubrey in confusion.

"Oh, Prince Chaos. Who else?" she teased. Blaire just rolled her eyes because she didn't have a prince charming, and it was unlikely that it was Chaos.

"So, what? Is he okay?" she inquired.

"Tss, do you want to eat or should I feed you with this spoon to shut you up?" she couldn't help but threaten her. Aubrey just chuckled and didn't bother her anymore.

They finished eating, and Aubrey offered to wash their dishes. Blaire returned to her room and immediately lay down on the bed until she fell asleep.

Blaire woke up with the sunlight hitting her face from the window. She got off the bed while yawning. It was already morning, so she went to the bathroom and quickly did her morning routine. Afterwards, she put on her uniform and combed her hair. She left her room and went downstairs.

As usual, her friend invited her to eat. They brushed their teeth together and then left the dormitory. They walked down the hallway and couldn't help but overhear whispers around them.

"Guys, they said there's going to be a summoning the guardian today?"

"Yeah, that's right. It's crazy! I'm not ready yet."

"Come on, it's manageable."

"But why so sudden?"

"Don't complain. You can't do anything about it anyway."

Those were some of the things they heard from other students.

"Unbelievable, today of all days?" Aubrey exclaimed, while Blaire just walked quietly, sensing the surroundings.

They saw the princesses and princes standing at the front of the hallway. The princesses shook hands with them with a smile. They continued walking until they reached them.

"Good morning," they greeted them immediately.

"Good morning," Aubrey greeted them with a smile too. Blaire just nodded without saying anything.

"Do you know what's happening today?" Lucy asked eagerly.

"Yes, we do. And it's fast," Aubrey complained.

"Oh, it's okay. It's easy anyway," Sophie said with a smile. The others nodded.

"Anyway, do your best," Scarllet encouraged the two of them.

"Of course! Who do you think we are?" Aubrey boasted, and Blaire just nodded.

"Okay, let's go to our classrooms. We might be late," Alexis invited them. They agreed and started walking.

Blaire frowned when Kade approached her. "Hi, Blaire," he greeted her softly with a smile.

"What do you need?" Blaire asked him emotionlessly. He scratched the back of his head, hesitating to smile.

"Nothing, I just wanted to check up on you," he said to her. Blaire couldn't miss the eye roll from Sophie. She just shrugged because she understood.

"Don't bother. There's someone else," she responded directly to Kade.

"Oh! I haven't even started yet, and I'm already rejected?" he said incredulously. Blaire saw Sophie trying to suppress a laugh. Kade just returned to his seat while scratching his head.

They arrived at their classroom and bid farewell to the princesses and princes. Afterwards, they entered and found that their History teacher hadn't arrived yet, so their classmates were noisy. They took their seats.

Everyone quieted down when their teacher arrived. He greeted them with a good morning. He began to teach and continued the interrupted discussion from the previous day.

"Students, let's continue the interrupted discussion from yesterday. We paused at the Prophecy, am I correct?" their teacher asked. Blaire's classmates hid, while she sat quietly, listening because she was also intrigued by this discussion.

"The gods and goddesses brought a baby to life. It wasn't in a woman's womb but in a magical flower. They entrusted it to the fairies. When the baby's christening arrived, the gods and goddesses descended again to witness the life they had created. They gave it gifts. Unique gifts, and those are the powers they possess. All elements are within them. They also gave them a person who will love them one day, and that is Prince Chaos Four Halton. This baby is written in the prophecy to one day come to save us all. For now, we just wait for him. We can't find him because he will come on his own, and hopefully that time comes," their teacher explained at length.

Blaire's classmates nodded. She was confused because she felt connected to the story, but she didn't dwell on it because it seemed like just a fantasy.

Their first subject ended, and the next teacher arrived immediately. "You probably know what's happening today. Today is the summoning the guardian, so prepare yourselves to summon your guardians. Now, please proceed to the arena," their teacher said without hesitation. Blaire's classmates exited with excitement and nervousness about what could happen inside the arena.

They followed suit and headed there. Once inside, Aubrey immediately looked around.

"There!" she exclaimed to Blaire and pointed to the group of Royalties. She pulled Blaire towards them.

They were greeted with smiles by the princesses and princes, except for Chaos, who looked at her with a furrowed brow.

"Come, sit down," Lucy invited them. Aubrey sat down, and Blaire was about to sit next to her when Sophie quickly pulled her to sit next to Chaos. Blaire wanted to raise an eyebrow at the girl, but she chose to remain silent and sat next to the boy.

She glanced at the princesses beside her because they seemed to be giggling while looking at her. They smiled at her, so she just rolled her eyes and looked towards the center of the arena.
