Ch. 11Chapter 10

There was a man bowing on the balcony of a relatively small kingdom. It was a kingdom few knew of because it didn't receive much attention from other realms due to its small size. This kingdom was called Darkirous. Its inhabitants were known as black charmers.

The man sobbed and looked up at the sky. "Lord! If you cannot grant my wish for greater power and a wider domain, then from now on, I will forget you. You are worthless. I would rather worship darkness!" he yelled into the void, accompanied by thunder and darkening skies. Soon, a strong wind blew, and black smoke appeared, swirling around him.

"Do you desire greater power, King Ismael? If so, I can grant it, but under one condition..." echoed a deep voice from the void, and suddenly, he felt his knees weaken. He hesitated to respond but was captivated by what was being said.

"W-what is that?" he asked, stuttering with fear.

"Disrupt the Impius Academy. I also want you to involve every kingdom and its territories. Learn their every move. They are my enemies, so now they are yours too, in exchange for what you desire," it demanded firmly. King Ismael swallowed hard.

"A-alright, but when will I get what I asked for?" he tried to strengthen his resolve to ask.

"At the full moon, perform a ritual that will bring back the dead. I know you can do it, and I know you know what to do," it said deeply and coldly. He swallowed again at what was said. Bringing the dead back to life was a huge sacrifice. You had to sacrifice your own life just to bring back what you desired.

"What you ask is difficult because bringing the dead back to life will cost me mine," he protested into the void.

The chilling voice laughed. "You will die, but you will be reborn even more powerful, unmatched by anyone," it stated. The king pondered the proposition.

"Fine, I'll do whatever you want," he replied determinedly. Despite his fear, he ignored it because what mattered to him was what he desired. The voice laughed again before disappearing along with the calmness of the surroundings.

King Ismael immediately stood up and summoned his General.

The group of Royalties was alerted when they heard commotion downstairs. They all looked out and saw charmers in the forest fighting a creature. It looked like a horse with wings, and it had horns like a deer. The creature is called a Peryton. Their front legs end in hooves, while their back legs are clawed like a falcon’s, complete with deadly talons that can do serious damage. It also has elegant tail feathers.

Blaire's group immediately descended, and she stayed behind while observing the creature's every move. Based on its actions, it was against the will of the peryton to fight the white charmers.

Her companions began to fight the creature. They hit it on the leg, but it still fought back. Blaire felt pity, so she descended on her pegasus. She saw her companions unleashing their powers, so she spoke before everything got out of hand.

"Stop!" her shout echoed throughout the forest, causing everyone to pause and look at her. Blaire got off her pegasus and walked seriously towards the charmers and her companions.

"Don't you dare take the life of that creature," Blaire's voice was cold and deep. The charmers and her companions, except Chaos, stopped, looking at her. He remained serious, watching her.

She looked at the creature, her eyes turning yellow. She approached the peryton, which also looked at her. She felt a connection with it.

She blinked when the creature suddenly bowed before her, but she didn't let it show. The others watching were also surprised.

"What do you need, and why are you here?" she asked the creature. The peryton raised its gaze.

"I simply escaped from people who wanted to use me for evil purposes, chosen one," it replied using telepathy. Blaire scrutinized it with her discerning gaze, although she was confused why it also called her the chosen one.

"Who are you referring to, Peryton?" Blaire asked.

"The black charmers, chosen one," it replied. Blaire frowned at its answer. She didn't know there were such charmers.

"Do you have an owner?" she asked.

"Not yet, chosen one."

"In that case, where are you headed?" she inquired.

"There's no certainty where I'll end up."

Blaire nodded thoughtfully and came up with a plan. "Head to Ogygia and stay there temporarily until you find your summoner. Tell those there that I sent you," Blaire instructed softly.

"Thank you, chosen one. They truly didn't make a mistake in bringing someone like you with a pure heart back to life," it respectfully praised her. She was even more confused by what it said, but she didn't react.

"Go on, and take care," she urged the creature. It nodded and flew away. Blaire's eyes turned purple again after that, and she faced her companions and the others present.

"Wow, did you just talk to it, Blaire?" Lucy asked excitedly. She didn't answer because she knew Lucy already knew the answer, so she just raised an eyebrow.

"Where is it going, Snow?" Aubrey asked her.

"You don't need to know," she said coldly, so Aubrey just blinked.

"Excuse me, Your Highnesses, and you, miss. How did you manage to drive away that creature?" one from another group said incredulously.

"Don't jump to conclusions about creatures that aren't harming you because they might not be like others with malicious intentions," she lectured. The others swallowed their pride and quickly nodded in agreement.

Blaire walked towards Sharah and immediately mounted her pegasus. Her companions followed suit, and they all took off together.

Blaire remained silent as she looked down below. She could see houses standing now, and she was sure this was the village.

"We're here!" Scarlet exclaimed joyfully. Their pegasi landed, and they all dismounted, leaving them with a caretaker in the village.

"Over there!" Lucy cheerfully urged, pulling Blaire along. Blaire just went along with it. The others followed suit.

They entered a large building with many clothes and shoes on display. They picked out clothes and shoes. Blaire chose some t-shirts, jeans, boots, and shoes.

Scarlet looked at what she picked and couldn't help but shrug her shoulders. "Why did you choose all these? It's so tacky," she complained. Blaire raised an eyebrow because what mattered to her was that she had something to wear.

"Return those selections, and we'll take care of the picking," Sophie presented with a smile. Blaire hesitated to return her choices, but Alexis took them immediately and handed them over, so she had no choice but to let them choose her clothes and shoes.

She watched the princesses pick for her. She also saw Aubrey busy making selections. The princes had made their choices too.

After a while, they finished choosing, so they went to the counter to pay for their items. Blaire didn't even see what they picked for her as they quickly placed them in a paper bag.

"There are thirty pieces of silver in here, Your Highnesses," a woman said politely, referring to what her companions chose for her. She felt her hoodie pocket and realized she didn't bring enough silver.

"Here." Chaos interjected, handing over a small bag made of animal skin containing thirty pieces of silver. The woman took it, and Blaire glanced at the boy, while her female companions giggled softly. Others also paid for their selections.

"Let's go!" Lucy exclaimed excitedly. The girls didn't bring anything because the boys carried their purchases for them.
