Ch. 9Glistening Lamp

No one expects a witch to set the world into peace and hide it from the beauty of flame. I always thought that a witch oath will never be frightened in this dark forest... because she should, she, herself burned in the depth forest.

That the scariest thing and terrifying forest was her soul. For a moment I became aware of the reality of this world. I have only witnessed two types of magic.

How this caused the various races living in this world to become savage. Above all, who will disobey the law that prohibits two people of the same race from loving each other? Because of their reputation and belief? That a curse will be given to the child that was born from the forbidden love? What kind of world is this if all you can feel is magic and wildness?

My lip trembled, and my eyes burned as I tried to keep my tears at bay.

"I've done cooking our food and you're still not done with yours." He plucked the stick from my hands and threw it away into the calming lake. "Why are you holding a stick? You can't fly using that one." "I know, I know," I said trying to hide my tears. We were perfect for each other. Until our races never want us. I realized now, as he looked at me with his eyes. A pain, he's trying to shield from me. Slowly uttered without words. Even though he hasn't said anything, or opened his mouth, I can feel that he is hiding some pain from me. "I'm a desperate and nothing, but a trying hard to be one of the best Alpha. Can't you see? I still need your help to find the cures for the curse given to me. I invade your privacy and brought you into my chaos," he pleaded with pain in his voice when he said that. "It's better this way. As long as I can help you, I'll do it. Just don't do it by yourself. It's not standard what you are, and who you are at the time you need help. Living your dream alone doesn't make you happy," I said to him and patted his shoulder before I went to his packs. I left worn the scars as my best attire. A stunning dress made of hellfire. Those moments were clear weather. The golden ray of sun, glistened like an oatmeal spilled in a milk. Embracing the tiny wind filled with memories. As I replaced the four who were now looking at me, while my cloak was being danced violently by the wind. I noticed immediately that they're staring at me, like knowing and measuring my soul. If looks can kill, I might have been lying on the floor. I always convinced myself that I'm nothing, but a self-centered goddess. A goddess away from chaos, because chaos where I am grown up. The first to come to me were Fallon and Blair who grabbed me by both hands and gently pulled me to the root where they were sitting. I immediately saw that they're now wearing their traditional cape and cloak. "What are you and Alpha Ryuu talking about? Do you feel something every time you're with him?" Fallon asked me sarcastically, while Blair remained serious and waited for my answer. I rolled my eyes and gently pricked their foreheads. "Planning to interview my whole life?" I ask them and they shake their heads for a moment as if they are nervous about what I will say next. "I felt nothing but friendly feeling towards him. I feel that I have to help him and I must not leave him because whenthat, it seems like..." I trailed. They both raised their eyebrows and in chorus they asked me. "It seems like you're killing yourself if you'll leave him!" They shouted at the same time so Jackson gave them two necks. "Get back to your work. Don't talk to Fala. Whether he is our Alpha's mate or not, we still have to respect him," Samiel said and immediately pulled them upwards which caused the two to end up in the upper part of the tree . "My apologies on their behavior. It's only now that Ryuu introduced us to a fairy except one," he said and quickly left with Jackson. I just stayed there as my mind wandered freely to thoughts about witches and werewolves. Different races bound to each other, can pixies and sirens get along but wolves and witches are forbidden? Why is it? And somehow the mermaids suddenly disappeared from the shores. It was like they were gone for a moment, that the ocean had to spit out when in need but for now it had to hide in the beauty and depth of the ocean. "Still thinking about Sirens and Pixie?" His baritone voice makes me smile, out of a blue. Even if I want to ask him that, how he can enter my mind whenever he wants and if he wants to know something from me. Do you also know how handsome he is? His lips rose as he heard what I said. "Don't fucking tell me that you can really read my mind?" I asked him in surprise and he just laughed. "I can read minds and create illusions," he said and shrugged. I wasn't sure what to feel after he said that. I was pale at the thought that he could read minds. Then he can read what I want to say that my tongues cannot open. In that case, did he read in my mind that he is literally handsome? That he is an elegant and handsome wolf? I can feel the rhythm of the wind, and yet the lure of the wild never fades, even after they've pulled me at the clay of my heart. "Have you ever wondered, that you're keeping wandering in my mind?" He asked me "I don't know. I believe that words can't be able to define my emotions now." He pulled me closer to him, as white envelops us slowly vanishing the trees and replacing it with a new and yet strange place. "Where did you take me?" I asked him as I looked around. We are in the middle of a forest with a river in the middle of which is a glowing gazebo. Stunning, and glistening vines cling on top of it. It was like we were in another dimension at that moment. "It's one of those illusions, but it's based on what happened in the past. Right now, here we are on how a cursed child was formed," he said causing my eyes to widen. Did he just say... Created by a child? Was he really going to show me that quote? I was about to say when he covered my mouth using his hands. He pointed out to me two people of both races who were now happily walking towards the center of the gazebo. "We don't need to run away from them, mi amour. My powers were enough to protect us," said the woman who knew and felt that she was a witch. The wind changes its rhythm as if that witch is very familiar to me. A golden oneThey were holding a lamp and a golden clock. "What's with the golden thingy? What's with the gold that seems so alive here?" I couldn't help asking Ryuu who was now also looking at the two freely caressing each other. It didn't follow because a violent chirping of the flute caused my attention to be turned there. A mesmerizing flute sound. I listened to it slowly and only then did I see that the man with the sorcerer was the one playing that beautiful song. "Those two things are sacred. They have the blessing of gods and goddesses. I didn't even know they had it and they were the first to hold it," Ryuu said happily next to me and quickly pulled me and there I was. I just saw an arrow with fire at the end going in my direction. "Something is not normal here. Something is different, someone has seen us that we are from the past." He pulled me behind his back, and got his long knife from his back. I made and prepared a potion that I made from my smoke. A shadow was approaching us while holding a golden lamp and he quickly strangled me with one of his hands, I tried to get away from him but his grip tightened around my neck. I immediately gathered the smoke in one of my hands and quickly blew it on his face which caused him to let go of me. I knew it was a man because of his stance. Ryuu face now harshly glared and aimed his long knife at the neck of this cloaked creature. A wind gently breezed, and his cloak fell on his head. That is the reason for us to observe his face. "Matthias?" I confusedly asked him, who seemed unsure of my question to him. His ocean green eyes looked at me. It was Matthias, Prioz's friend. And as far as I know, there is also someone there who likes the female fairy that I hate. I smiled briefly when I saw the anger in Ryuu's eyes. "Why do you know this one?" He asked me and immediately pulled my hand and held it tightly. A song of the past begins in starts to create in my mind. He grabbed my hand. I'm a goddess and a wild thing, and I forgot to be afraid when they told me to do, and now I will never get the song of the wind from my blood. I smiled at Ryuu before looking at Matthias. " I know him. It's a long story to tell in the wrong place." "I know what you want and I know what you are planning, why don't you ask yourself, Fala? Who you really are and what you really are." He started to sing like an evil witch. "Two lands in the middle of the forest." "Two forbidden loves will never be forgotten." I should be out of this illusion now, and that's when I noticed that the two creatures that Ryuu and I had been watching earlier had already taken a bath in the lake. They are happily bathing under the beautiful moon. "But one if, the untangled strings will be there?" Matthias finished and quickly left leaving only the witch-like lamp he had been holding earlier. "It's a replica. It's just a pair, I don't know why Matthias left it with us but I need it?" I asked him and quickly grabbed the lamp which caused it to produce a strange smoke. I closed my eyes because of that and holding one of Ryuu's hands we safely returned to our former forest. "How could you? Why did you bring the lamp?that's it!" He quickly shouted at me so he quickly left in front of me and even adjusted himself. I was trailed and I didn't know what to say. I was too stunned to speak, which was the reason for his companions to approach me. Jackson and Fallon just shook their heads while Blair and Samiel looked seriously at what I was holding. "Where did you get that?" Samiel asks me. "Not where, but who? Who gave you that forbidden and sacred thing from the golden kingdom from the past?" Blair asked quickly, now that the veins in her neck almost popped. "I-I don't know. It was just given to a-me. I don't really know what's in it—" They sighed heavily not until Blair chose to answer me. "It was the golden lamp, paired with the golden clock. Those things were one of the reasons why Ryuu was now cursed. That glistening lamp that you're holding..." Blair hung up as Samiel continued. "It was his scar. The glistening lamp was the one thing that could make him remember his nightmares."
