Ch. 12The Arc Goddess

"You are the forgotten and cursed goddess?" I asked her. Instead of answering, he slowly descended the staircase of his temple. Her hair swayed in the wind. She's really a goddess because of her unique charm. I was just surprised when he quickly took my hand and squeezed it, which caused me to simply fall back because he pressed the wound on my palm even more. "Let go of me, Kunal. You will not like the fierceness of a fairy," I insisted to him and tried to release my palm from his hands. "Stay still or you'll die," he said. "What do you mea—" I couldn't finish what I was going to say when something flew in our direction. I was confused when I saw that. I don't think anyone is still using it. A golden paper with a black bow hung from the arrow. The moment I opened it, I inhaled a strange smell, and a few moments later I heard Ryuu and the others cursing softly from the side. "What you hold is wolfsbane, something wolves are weak to other than silver." Goddess Kunal let go of my palm and immediately made a shield over me so that they would not inhale the strange neto smell. It seems to have an undefined hypnotic pull. I took it and immediately watched it. A piece of a strange flower that brings death to anyone who looks at it. According to the book I read before, the neto flower has something that can tame the cursed creature. In the book of the blue bloods, it is harmful and in the stories that come from the lower class of beings it is a blessing. Grace is a lie they should know. Because they are part of this world, part of the past and present. After a while we traveled again, but this time with a smile on our lips because Goddess Kunal had given us the Lotus flower. I hid it with my magical smoke. Time passed almost quickly as we reached the edge of the forest. The first forest of Safixa. I didn't think that was sacred and contained in a strange house. "Samiel. I'm telling you, that Goddess is mine. I will make her mine," I heard Jackson say from behind so Kunal and I looked at him together. "As far as I know. I don't belong to anyone, crazy wolf." Goddess Kunal tormented him which caused everyone else to laugh except for Ryuu who was now walking the path silently. Even for a short time, I gradually felt a strange love for him. "Finally. I can now enter your mind, and your mind is weird," he suddenly spoke in my mind which was the reason for me to let go of my lamp. I didn't pay attention to him because the wind suddenly changed. Since that cave is more unique I will not be surprised that in that dimension it is already morning. Just then the door of the magical cave creaked. I briefly glanced at my companions who were now smiling at me, waiting to enter the cave. I blinked when I saw a glowing lamp placed on a large tree root next to the cave entrance. I immediately took it and used it to light the dark or whatever inside the cave. With the lamp in my hand, I left the person next to me,I've been uneasy for a while now because of the strange presence beside me. It was consuming...That presence was debilitating...a presence that messed with my system. I blinked thrice when I saw who owned this strange presence. Ryuu was the only one next to me who was smiling while his hands were on his chin. It looks sticky to me. Why can he look like this? Why is it melting? I just shook my head and turned to the four who were now teasing Jackson with Goddess Kunal. I stopped looking at them when I heard Ryuu's voice next to me. I slowly faced him while holding the lamp that was the source of light except for the moon's rays. "Don't worry. After all of this, I will make you mine," he whispers with his soft voice. I don't know what he's saying, it seems like he doesn't like me just now. I couldn't answer him as the fumes came out of my palm. It led me to the cave and I know my companions followed. A light follows my smoke. "Let's follow the light of the cave!" I shouted bravely and immediately entered that magical cave. But as soon as we all entered, the tunnels of that cave were gradually closed. "R-Ryuu..." I said as I grabbed Ryuu's clothes because of being so nervous and scared. He didn't answer my question but he held my hand. He didn't need to say what he knew when I heard Goddess Kunal's voice and it answered my question. "After all, you have a witch blood. You can open this cave, whenever you want." The four who are now seriously looking at me have also come closer What witch blood? I only have blessings from the witches. "Why are there vines in it?" asked Samiel while we were walking and he was pissed off at the vine we were passing. "Samiel You idiot! Do you have a brain or not?!" the four shouted at the same time and all I could do was shake my head. I spared a glance at Ryuu who now had a serious face. "I know I'm handsome, but don't look at me like that. Your stare is exhausting and debilitating," he whispered in my mind. I tasted it but I didn't move until I choked and that's when he started panicking. I stopped walking and sat down while holding my slang and holding it dirty. I felt the rub on my back. Until the pain disappeared and I extended my hand to him. He just arched his eyebrows, maybe he doesn't know that I need his help this time. His eyes immediately lit up as if he realized something. He took my hand and slowly helped me stand up. "Thank you, my handsome Alpha prince," I mouthed at him. "What did you say? The wind was strong," he said. I grinned because of that. Thank you and you didn't hear the words I said. I don't want to break our bond just because of a misconception. I don't want to give all my attention to him. I don't want to love him too deeply. "I just said 'Thank you'. Maybe you're hearing something else," I asked him with a smile but he didn't answer again. I felt the gazes of the five with us. A few moments later they went in our direction. I heard Matthias whisper and it touched his senses. "What's with that? AnonDo you and Ryuu have anything, Caran?" Goddess Kunal asked intrigued as she looked back and forth between her and Ryuu. I was about to answer him when the siblings looked at me in surprise and asked. "Is Ryuu your mate?" the four of them whispered softly so Ryuu wouldn't hear. I grinned at that. "We're just friends, nothing less and nothing more." I approached Ryuu and leaned on his chest which made him nervous. When I leaned there, I could hear the fast beating of his heart. "Aray. I don't understand what Caran said," Ryuu said dramatically and ruffled my hair. I was staring at Jacskon now that Ryuu was looking down on me. What's with him? Did he think I didn't notice that he had been staring at me like that for a while, when we entered the cave earlier. "That's just jealous. Of course, I got the girl he wanted to have. But dude, stop his imagination. You're mine, you're only belongs to me," said Ryuu in my mind and at the same time the landing of butterfly on my shoulder I hadn't even touched it when it suddenly flew towards Jacskon "They say they're just friends, but the way to hug is different!" Jackson shouted and shook the shoulders of the three. "We should continue to our real mission," I said and left leaning on Ryuu's chest "F*ck...Why did you let go immediately!" I heard him whisper before following me. We cut a few more vines and large plants until we reached the end of that cave. I was almost amazed when I saw the fireflies flying, many of them lit up one by one—making a trail. I caught my breath there and grabbed Ryuu's arm who now had a frown on his face. "Did we stumble on the home of fireflies, Ryuu?" I asked him but he didn't answer. "Well, they are sort of—gatekeeper," said Ryuu as we walked and the last vine we plucked. I peeked a little. And there, what seemed to be a garden was completely exposed to me, with so much greenery. A new bridge appeared in front of us. Until I voluntarily plucked the last vine. Another bridge appeared, a different bridge. My friends finally came out and they started walking towards me. While Ryuu waited for me and extended his hand to help me on that rocky road. "Why is there a bridge in this world?" I asked them laughing. He gave a smile before he spoke. "Every bridge in this world has its own story. Its own sacrifices and falls are behind it. The bridge we will pass today is connected to the kingdom of witches. We call it our gate and the fireflies is our gatekeepers," Ryuu said and shrugged as he turned her back. Wow! I just realized they are different from the witches I have seen in movies. I thought they were like witches who were afraid of light and fire. Different from this world, because the witches here are not old or wrinkled. They are beautiful and their skin is soaked in pure milk. They are also not afraid of light, especially fire. The world they have is like a beautiful paradise. From green flowers and plants. I looked at the bridge. They walked first and now I was left withRyuu is quiet next to me. I watched the bridge carefully. Unlike the bridges we passed, the new bridge in front of me was made of a green wooden torso and supported by a chain. At the end of that bridge is a green temple-like temple. On the side of the temple is the three arch bridge made of stone as well as on the other side. But what made that bridge even more beautiful was the one at the top of the temple. A strange bird is the symbol. The wings were spread and it was as if a magical bird was covering that temple. "Wow..." I just covered my mouth at how beautiful that bridge was. The presence of that bridge is hair-raising. I slowly pulled Matthias and started stepping and stomping my feet on the log. "It's really easy to be amazed. Tss." He grabbed the chain and helped me cross. And only then did I notice the river at the bottom of that bridge. Its calm current is the reason for my heart to celebrate. This is home indeed. I want to be here in the world of sorcerers but what my heart wants is to rebuild Nheria Therian. I want to experience the whole thing, and before that I will find out why they mercilessly killed my parents. They just love each other, is that bad? Is it really necessary to follow the rules or will you let yourself go crazy and lose yourself forever because you didn't follow your heart? I knew Ryuu heard that or read my mind. Because as soon as our eyes meet, a pity or whatever it is—I don't know. He tilted his head." Please. Don't hurt yourself. We will also know the truth of the past, for now we only know parts of it. Just please, don't give up. Can you? Besides, I'm always in your sides. Through howls or spells, no one can break us apart." It was as if something was beating in my heart and I couldn't control my emotions. I finally got closer to him and gave him a hug that was exhausting... debilitating... exhilarating. "Promise?" Ryuu smiled, a melting smile. "Promise." Through his power he ordered and whispered something to a black bird. We stopped for a while and we were in the middle of the bridge. How soon did the bird come with a cloak? And now I realize that I'm not wearing a cloak and that's why I feel the cold breeze. He slowly put the cloak on me, which made my heart skip a beat. When he put the cloak on me, he brought his face closer to me...so close that I could be held by the chain. "R-Ryuu..." I uttered his name while I could clearly hear my rapid beating of my heart. I didn't expect what he did next. He buried his head in my neck. I felt its warm and fragrant breath. He stroked my long hair down to my neck...the way he stroked was scorching. We stopped when we felt a strange presence. Our eyes met before leaving each other, and only then did I return to my trance. A thick smoke and golden color was the presence that disturbed me. The smoke cleared and Jackson and Samiel were exposed while Blair and Fallon were serious. While both are now maa teasing smile on his lips. I thought he left? Why did he come back? "Well, it took us a while to follow them. Maybe they're thinking about something," Ryuu said in my mind. I turn my gaze at him and I can see him grinning. Argh! Why did I fall for this man? Our gaze was interrupted when we heard Goddess Kunal's taste I put my clothes on carefully, parted my long hair and put it on my chest. "I know there is a love developing between the two of you...and I don't object to that. But, remember we still have a mission to do," said Diyosa Kunal which was the reason for me to hold Ryuu's arm tightly. Mission...before love. "You need to cross this bridge in order to see the town of the Zatca. Then the wonder you are doing," he said Ryuu and I both coughed because of what he said. "This bridge was full of lost, uncertain ghost of the past. Arch Bridge, because it is a bridge of different emotions the moment you step on it," Diyosa Kunal said and immediately carried the two of us until we reached the end . And we are in the temple. "Welcome to our home. You're part of the family now," Goddess Kunal I fell in love while observing the beauty of that temple. There are plants on its side and what caught my attention the most was its arched bridge connecting the forests. An arched bridge made of stone is what we will cross before I reach Witch Land—the kingdom of witches. I laughed for a moment when I realized that this world is full of bridges! A bridge that will confuse you the moment you enter. "But me? I promise, you won't be confused by my love that I'm going to make you feel," Ryuu whispered in my ear while brushing my long hair. When I suddenly turned around, he was frowning at me. Ryuu suddenly disappeared and I was out of my mind to face the man with a smile on his lips. And rudely grabbed my lips and at the same time a kiss, a consuming kiss. I felt my heart as if it was going to come out of my throat, and especially when he ended the kiss and whispered in my ear. His soft voice covered my ears. "Welcome to Arch Bridge, anyways your lips taste so sweet."
