Yolly's POV:
We are now in St. Eve Hospital in Manila. Since there is no money in our province of Batangas and the hospital can't afford it, we went to Manila for a check-up.
"Yule! Come on when you're young, don't pretend we're from the province, we're rich, we're social." Mother said to me and we went inside.
We were wearing red polka-dots suits that we bought in London. You know Ukay-Ukay?
"Hey mom, what are we going to do here? This establishment is bigger than Malacañang!" I shouted at my mother.
Because our mother said we are rich, we speak English. Those other people here looked at us, saying that we were too beautiful.
"Yule, you have a check up today, remember?" Mother's English and her voice was even louder.
His mother really liked to speak English, because it might be obvious that we are more difficult than them.
"Yes mom, I know there's a check up today. Mom, don't let your English have wrong grammar, it's obvious we're not rich!" I told my mother and pulled her inside.
"Why, don't you know how to slow down!? We should do chin-ups and then cat walk. I saw that on T.V. Grandpa Jani mo." Mother told me that's why we did it together.
People especially look at us, they say we are too beautiful. What are you jealous of?
"Hey miss! Can you tell me where the doctor is?" Mom asked and removed her shades.
We joined together because my mother is good at English, I'm so proud!
"Yes Ma'am, which doctor is it?" The woman here at the reception asked.
What is that! By the way, I didn't ask which doctor, because mother said we might make a mistake! That's why those in all-white are nurses, they will assist us.
"Yule, I don't think the woman can help us. We don't know the doctor's name." Mother whispered to me.
"Mom, read this, it's the doctor's receipt. It's already said and we're going to be confused" I whispered to my mother.
These two women here at the reception are looking at us. Why, maybe they just saw beautiful people, we are much prettier than them.
"Yes, Yule, miss, where is this doctor's room? Here is the receipt. This doctor is from this hospital, right?" Mother's English to the nurse.
Oh, that's my mother! I think we can compete here with our English skills.
"Ah, it's there on the 2nd floor room 1010." The woman said to her mother and returned the paper to us. Oh, this nurse is rude, one uten they say!
"Mother, let's just go look for it, it's just upstairs. That nurse's mouth is rude. Should you tell us one uten, why don't we ask questions properly." I told my mother and pulled her to the elevator.
"Yule, we're only going to ride here today, how about that? It says 1^ here, which means that only one person can ride up. I'll ride first before you follow." Mother got on the elevator first. I just waved at him.
I just waited for the elevator to come down again. I got on it after getting off.
Well, there's a camera so I'm cute first! Maybe it was shown on television and my mother didn't see it. I was just staring at the camera when a man came in. I think that one is also a nurse, wearing all white and carrying papers.
"Uhm mister, only one person can ride this elevator. The elevator will go up and down, you wait here until it's your turn." I told him and closed the elevator door.
I guess I inherited my English skills from my mother. I'm really so good, it makes me proud!
"Oh Yule come on, let's just find where your room is." Mother said to me and pulled me when I reached the top.
"Oh mother, I think it's here!" I pointed to an open door.
Tomorrow is just this, for sure this is it. Of course the others are closed because there are people, right? Is it privacy?
"Well yes, the other door is closed. Only this door is open so let's go in." Mother said.
Mother pulled me and we went inside. I'm excited, what will happen?
"Mom, it's right here. I searched on Aling Betty's touchscreen cell phone and this is what the room looks like. It's like being born in person." I told mother.
I lay there on a bed with a television on the side. I was going to turn on the television in case the doctor scolded me, but later.
"Yes darling! I'll hang this up now, bye! Oh, you're here, let's start? I think you were early, your schedule is later-"
"Can you start now? My daughter is not a patient who likes to wait, hmp! " mother interrupted the doctor.
Maybe that's my mother!
"Uhm pft, let's get started. I'm Dr. Avi Ramos." The doctor introduced himself and came here to my place. I'm nervous, it might hurt.
"You'll take care of that my son, that's a first timer keep it slowly. I'll wait outside until you guys are done, okay?" Mother said goodbye to the doctor and left.
"What a morning your mother and daughter used to have. Your schedule is later in the afternoon. It doesn't matter, it's fine, I'll be able to talk later. Dra whispered. Avi case I did not understand.
"What's that anchovy smell? Never mind. Take a deep breath, I'll let you in okay." The doctor said again and pointed what he was holding at my penis.
Is this transvaginal ultrasound? I thought I would see it on television. After all, he's dead, maybe he's broken.
The doctor in our province told me to do a transvaginal ultrasound. I don't know what that is, because I'm not familiar with it.
Because we need to make sure that there is no lump left in my mattress. Because I had a cyst before. I'm fine now, double check just in case.

Oh dear! I screamed in pain! It's like something is torn!

"Doctor, are we going back here?" I will ask.
"Yes come back here after 2 weeks, then this is your prescription. Take all the medicine that is written so that you will be healthy and that little thing." The doctor said and pointed at me.
Alas, my pepe is small, it's so plump. It's a little thing that he underestimates me too much. He still speaks English erratically, I just didn't say it and he might be embarrassed. He might even cry and stab me with a ballpoint pen.
"Alright doctor, thank you. How much are we going to pay?" I asked Dr. Avi.
"That's paid, don't worry, just come back here after two weeks." He said and handed me the paper he wrote earlier.
The ugly letter of Dra. Avi, it's like Lolo Jani's fried chicken. Maybe that's why he didn't charge us because he realized we were poorer than him. It doesn't matter, mother and I are free.
I just stood up and walked out the door slowly. My pepe is so sick!
I just wore my mother's shades again that she said she bought at the market in our province. We even have suits and a sticker of a white cat with a ribbon on its head. It's ugly, I prefer the blue cat with a boy.
"Oh Yule! What did the doctor say? What happened to you and you can't walk?" Mother asked me.
I just handed him the prescription that Doc Avi gave earlier. The medicines I need to take are kept there.
"Mom, that's the prescription you gave me, that's what I'm going to buy. That's all for me and my baby," said the doctor. I explained to mother as we walked to the elevator.
"Oh well, the two of us can come down here, come and let's be here together." Mother said and pulled me into the elevator.
Someone else was going to ride because the mother pushed the male nurse. I think my mother will scold us because of her cursing.
"Come on, let's just ride a jeep over here to the address my best friend gave me. We'll just buy those drugs later. Can't you die from that and the amount? Are you all still drinking?" Mother asked while we were waiting for the jeep.
"I just don't know, mother. That's what the doctor said, so let's just follow it." I explained to mother then we got into the jeep.
