Ch. 29Chapter 29: Red Room

"Thank you," Magnus simply replied.

"I thought, ya will stay here for a couple of weeks?"

"There's no reason to stay longer here."

Smiling, Alpha Somson folded his arms, "Why not? I thought, you're going straight to the morgue."

"I should invite you there, then."

“Wait. Wait.” The sign burst out laughing as he put his hand in front of him. "Don't take my joke seriously. Are you that afraid to die?"

"I'm not. How about you?" Magnus asked. "What kind of death do you want? So, I can now grant it. Take it as a gift.”

Oh, Magnus is crazy.

Those scenes in the movies are really like this. Hero with villain. They'll throw a line until someone runs out of patience and they'll fix it through punching each other! It's really shocking. I never thought I would discover such events live today.

I noticed the momentary combination of Alpha Somson's face which he later replaced with a smile. "A gift? Isn't it surprising that you are now offering me a gift? It was surprising."

Magnus stood up and stared blankly at the old man. “Let's just get straight to the point. I have some work to do so just tell me, why are you here?”

One of Alpha Somson's staff quickly pulled out a sword and pointed it at Beta William who just bit his lip. As expected, the others took out their swords and immediately pointed them at Magnus. I, on the other hand, just keep looking at each other because of the mixture of nervousness and fear I feel.

The old man shook his head as the grin never disappeared. “I'm not satisfied. So, let's fulfill it. Any last word to my dearest friend?”

"Lemme know your last word too," Magnus replied coldly.

"Ya kidding me," the old man laughed. It didn't take long and the expression on his face became serious, "Kill him!"

A few seconds passed but surprisingly they still didn't hurt Magnus. I'm not asking them to kill him but that's what I expect. Because of the old man's impatience, his forehead was furrowed as he looked at his men.

"I said... kill him!" he shouted again.

Shocking. What is happening in this world?

I was not even surprised when in an instant his men pointed the head of the gun at him. Why they decided to reverse that I don't know either. I even saw how his face arched in surprise and anger that I truly felt sorry for his personality.

“Traitors!” meanwhile, Alpha Somson shouted.

Poor sign.

And the surprising events didn't end there when suddenly countless policemen appeared, accompanied by Press who couldn't help but take pictures. The police also quickly targeted Mr. Somson of swords. I just cringed when I imagined everyone cutting the old man, making sure his insides were scattered all over the place. Ew.

Two police approached the old man and handed him a piece of paper, signaling that the police were arresting him. The police said some things that I know are referring to the things he committed. As the old man was being chained, he was mobbed by the Press who never stopped asking questions.

I sighed and shook my head from the relief I felt. "When you commit a grave sin... you really have to pay for it. Do you regret it? Is that enough to make you an angel? Probably... no."

Thirty minutes later.

Magnus was the first to enter his packhouse and I eagerly followed him. On so many occasions I was able to open my arms again while inhaling air.

I don't know but out of all the places I've been to, Magnus' packhouse has become my favorite because of the unique ambiance inside. Happy? And it's fun!

"Hey. Shocking. Finally, I hugged your packhouse again. I miss it so much!" I said to the man who didn't even pay attention to me and just went straight to the second floor.

What a mess, oh, red days this week, dude?

I didn't understand that and just wandered around the whole place. Because of the uncontrollable joy, I even got the beautiful flower that came from the flower vase and smelled it, not stopping until its fragrance was exhausted.

I turned around again while holding the hem. I don't know why I'm so happy. Maybe because I feel that the next chapter of my life will be even better. I can't wait then.

"Come with me."

I gradually stopped what I was doing and turned to Magnus who was currently watching me from above. It didn't last long and left me with no idea what he was doing. I didn't waver anymore and I could easily go up stairs to chase him.

“Just a minute!” I screamed in annoyance. "Where are we going, huh? Are you going to work with me again? What the heck. Can I have a day off today? Shocking."

Because of the length of time we walked here on the second floor, I just stared at him breathlessly when we stopped at a large door, which I knew was not far from his room.

"What are we going to do in here?" I pointed to the door.

“Somethin' exciting?” he answered questioningly but the lack of emotion was still there on his face.

I suddenly covered my mouth while pointing at the man in front of me. I was able to avoid it with a glance, "I'm telling you..."

"What?" he asked innocently.

"This is the red room, right?" I have a very confident demeanor. "I knew it! Did you bring me here to tut?"

"Shit? What kind of word is that?”

"Just fart! Get ready, Magnus. I will sue you for unclaimed wolf abuse, Republic Act 12345!" I still screamed.

Unclaimed wolf abuse? Is there any kind of law like that?

"Stop imagining things," he said as he opened the door to that room. "Come here."

I shook my head at the last thing he said and closed my eyes with my hands folded, "I don't want to and I will never go in there! I don't even want to peek inside, I still don't want to. I hate you, Magnus."

"Come here," he repeated, his tone running out of patience.

"I don't want!"

“Come... or else—”

"I don't want!"

"You don't want?"

"I do not want! Capital, I DON'T—" I hadn't even finished my line when he just grabbed me by the wrist and took me to this dark room and immediately closed the door which really made my whole body stiffen.
