I looked at the friend chicken next to him. Ever since I met Prince Malbonte, I noticed that he always has a stock of fried chicken here in his tree house.

I walked closer to him and I spoke again. "Are you eating chicken all day? Shocking. Maybe you got it when you grew up and became a teenager, I'm telling you, that's embarrassing for the woman you're dating."

"No?" I can't believe his behavior in front of me. "Mia, it's impossible because—"

I immediately pinched his muzzle with my finger, "Because you are unclaimed wolf," I continued. "Yes, yes. I already know that. What else would you expect from being an unclaimed wolf?" I smiled and continued, "I am too."

His eyes widened at what he heard. "How?"

I shrugged. “I don't have a wolf inside me. It's better now because I could now understand you."

Then, he smiled at me.

"Mia. How is your journey in pleasing my brother? Thumbs up yet?" He asked with a big smile, causing his gaping teeth to show.

Because I couldn't stop myself, I just squeezed both of his cheeks. "Not yet. But surely soon."

“O-Ouch! My face will tear, Mia!” he complained.

I just stopped laughing and messed with his hair. "I came here to say hello to you. What's the update on your life?"

I walked towards the long table while saying that to put the refreshments there.

Prince Malbonte was about to answer my question but was interrupted when I accidentally stepped on a paint brush and it slipped away on the floor. My loss of balance slowed down in my sight but in an instant, what should have caused me to fall on the way was prevented when someone caught my arms and gently held one of my hands causing me to be saved from misfortune again.

"Are you all right, young lady?"

I was speechless when I saw how handsome the man in front of me was, the man who saved me. I just looked at the whole man in front of me.

oh god Did he call me young lady? I'm thrilled, Prince Malbonte, help me! I thought in mind.

"Here I go, Mia!" Prince Malbonte suddenly yelled because I was staring at the man. He caught me. "He is my beta, Beta William. And then Mia, like you and I, he is an unclaimed wolf too. So, don't be sad because we're many unclaimed wolves here in the world!"

Suddenly, I looked at the man in front of me. He is unclaimed too? And he is Prince Malbonte's beta. He is awesome.

"Can I let you go?" Beta William's mannerisms are few. "Looks like you've been hurt in your position for a while," he added, which really made my heart grow fonder.

To be honest, if we compare our two positions, his position is more difficult than mine, but it's shocking that he still thinks about me.

But in a moment of thought I realized that I've been looking at him with sparks on my eyes and that was kinda embarrassing, maybe he thought I was loving our position. It's hard that he might think anything else.

After a while, I noticed that he felt embarrassed when he realized something. He carefully let go his hold to me after he let go one of his arms around my waist and immediately bowed slightly.

"I'm sorry for my disrespectful behavior."

I laughed and thanked him again.

After a while, Prince Malbonte approached me and shook my hand with a frown. "Mia, tell me everything that happened between you and my brother, why is he still not accepting what you're asking him? I want to know already where's my real parents."

Because of his question, I forced a smile to pat his head to him. I faced him while still fixing his slightly messy hair.

"I will direct you. The truth is, I'm losing hope to ask that man," I sighed. "He's too hard and I'm not sure if he'll ever soften."

"Is that so?" I heard the sadness in his tone. "Then you should boil my brother in hot water first," he added suddenly, making my eyes widen.

I was about to pinch Prince Malbonte but I didn't continue and just laughed. "Oh you. Where did you get that naughtiness?"

"But, Mia, what about our plan?" his behavior is problematic.

Beta William suddenly appeared and walked closer to Prince Malbonte's left. "Can I help you with your problem?"

“No need—”

"Yes, you will be of great help to me." I lead the broken line of Prince Malbonte and smiled naughtily. "As long as you're always there to hug me—"

"Mia!" Prince Malbonte held me suspiciously. "Beta William is accompanying me today for a walk and not to pinch. Do you understand?"
