3 YEARS LATER……..

"Miss Aberra, a handsome man has been waiting for you in the lobby of the company for a while now, and it looks like your shot is over, maybe you want to show yourself to Mr. Maruhom.” Laiza smiled teasingly when she told me that but I just shrugged it off.

"Yes, I'm just going to change clothes, and don't smile, there's nothing between the two of us," I promised and immediately went to the fitting room to change clothes.

I just wore a white off-shoulder dress so my whiteness and my collarbone appeared because my hair was only in a bun and there was a little hair on the sides of my head.

I looked at my face in the mirror, and it seems like nothing has changed, my face is still very innocent, but I can't say I'm still innocent because in three years many changes have made me aware of the world where sometimes you have to be bad because not every time you will be kind because they will just abuse you.

I got rid of my leukemia but I'm not sure if I'm free from that disease, because the doctor said it could come back at any time, I just shook my head and put it out of my mind because I don't want to be stressed now.

I just went out of the fitting room and immediately said goodbye to my other co-workers and went out to go see Lux in the lobby, that one never failed to pick me up and visit me every day.

I got on the elevator and immediately hit the very first floor where the lobby is, while the elevator was going down, I immediately thought of all the mistakes I made in the past three years, and in those years I didn't hear from Reigo, I almost got busy taking care of Fia and Percy. Until I had a good opportunity to become a model in the states that changed the course of my world.

Almost all my attention revolved around work and my two children, if I didn't fight my illness then maybe I wouldn't be able to take care of my children and I almost sacrificed everything just for them.

I met Lux Lazarus here in the states before, he is also a Model in the company I work for now, and I can say that he is the type of man who has everything, but never once entered my heart and mind, I only consider him a friend, even then I told him that I have no intention of getting into a relationship again because I have not been treated for my previous love.

Suddenly the elevator opened so I got out and immediately walked, as I was walking in the wide lobby of the company, many people congratulated me and I also heard many compliments, I only smiled back at them, it was a sign of my appreciation all the earlier praise and greetings.

I arrived right where Lux was sitting, now all the women here in the lobby are worshiping him because he looks like a king sitting on the sofa in the lobby with his eyes closed, I just shook my head because he looks like a Greek formal.

I immediately kissed his forehead which made him smile and open his eyes, I could see the admiration in his eyes as he looked at me.

"Hey, is your work done?" He asked and held my hand before standing.

"Yeah," I said with a tired voice because I feel really tired.

“You seem tired, let's go and have some coffee at Sight Glass coffee shop.” He said and immediately pulled my hand that was wrapped in his big hand.

When we got out of the company, he carefully helped me get into his car before turning around and getting into the driver's seat, and immediately started the car.

"How's Percy and baby Fia?" He asked while his right hand was holding my hand while his left hand was driving.

"They're doing fine and my little princess is looking for you, it's been a week since you haven't visited the house so she misses you," I answered calmly while looking out the window. I felt that he squeezed my hand but I just let him.

"Don't worry I'm going to surprise our little princess tomorrow." He said happily, I wasn't surprised by what he said because I was used to him, and I didn't realize that we were already outside the Sight Glass coffee shop.

As he used to do, he opened the car door for me again before we walked into the coffee shop and sat down at a table surrounded by various books, this is the place to go if you want to go to this coffee shop because even if you go alone you won't be bored because there are books you can read while you have coffee.

When we sat down, the crew immediately approached us and immediately asked for our order.

"Ma'am, Sir, what's your order?" he asked.

“One Espresso for me,” I answered him with a smile and turned to look at Lux who had been looking at me for a while.

"How about you Lux?" When he heard what I said, he immediately looked away from me and looked at the man in front of us who was going to take our order.

“One Nitro cold brew for me.” Lux.

"Do you plan on coming back to the Philippines?" He suddenly asked after the man who took our order had left, and I was also stunned by his question.

"I don't know, but if I can be given a project in the Philippines why not? Right? Besides, I have no fear of not stepping foot in the Philippines."

"Hmmmmm...What if you see him again what would you do?" I was stunned by his question, He knows everything about me because he was my strength when I was just starting my career.

"What should I do?" I laughed at his answer because I didn't know the answer to his question.

"Based on your expression, you still love him." He said and I felt jealousy in his voice I also felt that he was a little angry at the words that came out of his mouth but I just shook my head because maybe I heard his voice wrong.

"Tsk, just don't ask me anything about my past." When I change the subject because I might have something else to say.

"Okay, then how about me? Do I still have a chance?” He asked out of nowhere.

"Lazarus, as I'm still in the process of moving on and concentrating on my profession and my children, I previously informed you that I don't have any plans to fall in love again. I didn't tell you to court me because it is your decision and not mine." I Frankly told him, and he knows when I uttered his second name that means I'm serious.

"Yeah, I know." I saw in his eyes how he was hurt by what I said, but I couldn't do anything, I didn't want to make him hope for anything, and it was better to be straight to the point.

"You know the words you heard from me are bitter but there is truth in them, rather than me telling you sweet words that are full of lies." My statement.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up just like that, you know how much I love you, that I can protect you from everything just love me back." He said firmly, I just shook my head.

"I had forgotten that you are stubborn, no matter what I say you will not follow, I said shaking my head." When I said that, our order arrived, I just drank an espresso because even if I told him to stop courting me, he still wouldn't do it.

He has this side that if he wants to do something no one can stop him, he's also too possessive when it comes to me, the type that he doesn't want another man to hold me because he suddenly disappears and seems like he's going to kill me.

"You know me, I'm a stubborn man, no matter what you say, I won't stop trying to seduce you, as long as there is no one who owns you, I will continue to fence you in." He said he’s been waiting for a long time.

"Yes! Wait, don't you plan to return to the Philippines? Isn't your family there? And until now I still haven't met your parents." I said and sip a little of my espresso.

"So, you want to know my parents?" He said lamely which made me stop because I just realized what he said, damn why did I ask that, my cheeks just turned red because of embarrassment.

"It's not what you think!” I said to him before smacking my cheeks, that's how shy I am.

"Don't be shy my innocent baby, you will meet them soon." He mumbled before grinning which made me cringe.

"Don't smile because it's horrible," I told him frankly and touched my two arms. Because of what I did, he laughed very loudly.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA Y-your face is so speechless..." He said laughing and holding his stomach before he was going crazy and now he's laughing like crazy, I can only breathe properly because of his different mood.

"Are we going to the psychiatric hospital when we're done?" I asked him seriously which stopped him from laughing and now he just stopped laughing.

"W-what….are we going to do in that mental hospital?" He stopped laughing when he asked that question, I just facepalmed him because of his stupidity.
