Ch. 24Chapter 13

But I do not remember of us together at any time in the past?"

A rush adrenaline passed through Tony's throat making him as pale as a sheet of paper.

What was the past about Tony and Justin?

Was Tony hiding something very serious from his daughter?

Tony was under the shock at his daughter's revelation. He doesn't see any association of him or his daughter's past with Justin Cooper. Then why was he making such false allegations to Freya?

Tony did not know what to answer his innocent princess. He had dragged her into this dangerous oasis without her fault and he feels the guilt of it.

"Princess I and Justin or you did not have any past together. Like I told you earlier, I have seen him for the first time a month ago requesting him to grant me sometime to repay Richfield Industries.  I have no idea why he is misleading you about something that never happened?" Tony spoke in distress.

When Freya and Tony were involved in their own thoughts Justin walked to the room where Tony was admitted. He doesn't greet him in any way but only nods and spoke to Freya so tender like a feathery touch of a butterfly. "Ready to go?"

His eyes held her in an arrest with cascading love but no words spoken. Justin wasn't a man of speeches, he did not come close to Freya or hug her like a man in love. He just watched her with care like she was some treasure that needs to be safeguarded.

Tony observed the gaze of Justin towards Freya and the hidden, streaming affection inside his eyes. No matter how much he hated him for the meet-up they had a month ago and the confusion he suffered moments ago about his lie, Tony had the confirmation that Justin was in love with his daughter and was going to take care of her through out her life. Freya's life is settled and that brings a fulfillment in the father's soul.

"Go home princess. When your husband wants to take you home, you should go. I am good here. You can come and meet me again tomorrow or day after." Tony patted the hand of Freya with warmth gushing from his eyes.

"Here is our wedding invitation. I got the cards printed. It is in the next week. I hope you will be good by then to walk Freya down the aisle." Justin spoke stoical to Tony like he was making a business deal.

"Marriage within a week? You did not inform me about it?" Freya asked surprised. Justin grinned ear to ear. "Myself too did not know about it till a few hours ago." He winks playful at Freya. "I met the church father with the wedding plan and he finalized it on the next Thursday."

Justin took a step forward and held the hand of Freya knotting it with his fingers like he cannot part from her even for a second. "It will be a simple wedding. So I guess we have sufficient time to make the little preparations." He patted the cheek of Freya softly with the tips of his fingers.

Freya nodded thoughtfully. She wasn't convinced but she also knew the capability of Justin. A slight fear hinted her. Justin was talking about a simple wedding. Was this going to be only a contract marriage like they initially planned?

On their way home, Freya was silent bothered in her own thoughts. Justin pondered on what troubled her. "Are you okay Freya?" He asked her soft like in the fragility of a flower.

Freya fidgetted with her fingers watching the passing trees outside the car window. She arrested a snivel about to fall out of her lips and tried her voice to project plane but failed miserable.

"Is this going to be the contract marriage like what we agreed earlier?" Justin stopped the car abruptly inviting curses from the drivers of the cars following behind. He then came back to senses drove a few steps ahead to a lay bye and stopped the car.

He turned to the side of Freya giving her his undivided attention and cupped her cheeks in his big warm hands. "What do you want?" His voice was gentle filled with adoration. A lone tear flowed from the corner of Freya's eyes. Justin observed it slowly passing through her cheeks and through her slender throat consequently dropping down on her lap.

"Don't you see it on what I want?" Freya asked with a slight crack in her tone, her lips slowly tilting down. Justin at once pushed his lips on her evocative and kissed her amorous with passion.

"Why would you think it is still a contract after everything we had?" He whispered, pushed away the hair of Freya falling on her face and brought her to his lap not ready to stay in distance from her even for a second.

Freya bit the inside of her cheek and contemplated. "You said it is a simple wedding, only few guests so I thought...." She left the sentence hanging. Justin's lips extend rubbing the cheeks of her with the pads of his thumbs. "I do not like a lot of paraphernalia, pomp and show that people usually take in wedding. I'm a simple man who believes in the beauty of modesty. Very few people know about it and from today forward you are one among them." He tips her head up in lento and kisses her forehead tenderly.

Was she doing the right thing in hiding her past from the man who loves her so much? Freya argued with her mind. He just confirmed to her that their marriage is not a contract wedding. They were going to stay for each other forever and Justin had every right to know about her past.

"What are you thinking?" Justin kissed Freya's head and hugged her dense. "Do not push me away today. I need you." He mumbles.

His eyes were closed.
