He pressed on the link and the voice of her mother entered his ears. "Freya your father had been admitted in the hospital." The woman said morosely. There was no greeting at least a 'how are you'. Her indifferent tone said it all on how much she disliked Freya.

"Tony's two valves had gone blocked. Two stunts are requires and the cost of each stunt is one million." She yelled on the phone as if everything about her dad's failing health was Freya's fault.

"I do not know from where I will get such an amount. Hadn't your dad shelled money like water on your police case, today we could easily spend the needed money." She accused her and cried on the telephone.  "The doctor immediately ordered for a surgery and the maximum time we have is five days." She blurted the information and rudely cut the call like she was talking to someone unknown.

The next call was from Red cross hospital. "Madam we were asked to inform you about the condition of the patient. "We have administered Evolocumab injection on Mr Tony Stiller. But the patient's response is very low. He urgently requires a bypass surgery with two stunts for the blocks present in his arteries.  You need to arrange for the treatment at the earliest. Failing which we cannot guarantee you about his life."

"Damn it!" Justin growled running the hand in his thick hair. He called the same number again that he conversed an hour ago, bombarded his words like an atom bomb on the receiver for the next ten minutes and ended his call not before saying. "I want this to be arranged before today's sunset. Else you know you are out of this job."

"Sir I will take care of it and I will assure Ms Freya Stiller doesn't know the payer's name." The speaker spoke stoical but professional.

Justin couldn't control himself to hear what Freya spoke next on the call of the hospital. His nerves were on riot accompanied with anger understanding his helpless situation.

It was six in the morning and the alarm buzzed. The cook is on leave since past four days because her son fell sick. Freya rushed to the kitchen to make breakfast for her and Justin because after she was done she had to leave to the hospital.

Freya was going to meet the hospital head and request him for a few days of time and continue the treatment for her dad. In the mean time she would arrange for the finances. Freya hopes Justin would help her fetch back the employment at her previous work place with his recommendation.

She had the best record among the working staff in San Francisco hospital. Freya took over the extra hours and do anybody's duties without a grumble. So her colleagues also liked her. She was positive once she takes over her duty, with her sincerety and selfless service she would once again win the hearts of her superiors and re-establish herself in the hospital. Subsequently she will not have any problem to get the loan against her employment.

The thought of sleeping with Justin like a whore is still against her instincts but he was the man she fell in love and till a couple of days ago she was ready to do all the duties becoming his wife. If she needed to offer her dignity to him for the sake of her father Freya was ready to make the sacrifice for the man who contributed to bring her to this world.

It was not like Justin was going to remember her forever. He had many girls who would offer him their everything at just his beck and call. It was a matter of 'out of sight and out of mind' for Justin. A week days and she is out of his house, his life and out of his hairs. The thought troubled her.

What if she is only one among the many girls he had affairs in the past?

Freya brushed the thought away and decided to make pancakes for breakfast. At least for the last few days that she stayed she wanted to make Justin happy with her culinary skills. She looked for the ingredients in the cupboards just to find the entire racks were empty including the fridge.

She needed to go and do immediate grocery shopping. Thank heavens, it was a weekend and there was no college. Else Freya would have been in trouble. She quickly got into the shower to get ready.

Justin was sleeping on his stomach, legs crossed with his face ducked into the pillow like a pretty little boy. Freya's feelings urged to go and kiss him. He looked so innocent and relaxed while sleeping. The discovery of scars on his face and stomach still bothered her but guess God didn't like to provide her an opportunity to learn about him more.

Just week days and her tick-tock clock starts now. The very advent of the thought brought toxic heebie-jeebies in her belly. Freya felt the glistening in her eyes. She ran to Justin's sleeping form with a thought of 'now or never' and kissed his forehead both cheeks and lips in pain. She already misses him when he is right in front of her.

Justin was awake but he continued to keep his eyes closed. He wanted to relish the love of Freya. In the past few days they hardly talked. He longed for her love but she had to rush to the grocery store where her gift was waiting. He had come home yesterday late in the night after supervising the entire arrangements. Justin made sure all the kitchen racks were empty.
