Ch. 6Part 6

After the meeting with Natalie that day, Hans continued to invite her to meet again.

"Hah, is it because her face is so similar to Jessie's? Or is it because her body is aarrgghhhh... She looks so sexy in that mini dress. Well... a far cry from Jessie who always wears modest dresses." Hans kept thinking about Natalie, as if he forgot that he already had a wife.

The sound of a door knock interrupted Hans' daydreaming.

"Tok tok,"

"Ahem... Please come in!" Hans, who was daydreaming, quickly changed his focus as if he were reading some files on his desk.

Behind the door entered Natalie with her red dress and a small bag in her hand.

"Sorry, Mr. Hans, I came here without notifying you," Natalie said shyly.

"Oh! Natalie, no problem at all, please sit down!" Hans said with a cheerful face.

"Um, Mr. Hans, could you accompany me to an event? I have some acquaintances here, and my friends tease me because I don't have a partner. Can you accompany me to the party?" Natalie asked somewhat hesitantly.

"Of course, you can just let me know when the event is, and I'll clear my schedule for it," Hans replied confidently.

"All right, thank you for your willingness. Um, would you like to have lunch together?" Natalie invited again.

Hans, who was quite interested in Natalie, accepted her invitation, forgetting that he had a commitment with his wife.

In Maria's office,

"Where is Hans? He's not answering my calls, and he's ignoring my messages. Huh... This is not like him," Maria grumbled in bewilderment because her husband couldn't be reached.

At a restaurant near Hans' office,

"Isn't your wife angry, sir?" Natalie asked while enjoying her lunch.

"Well, no, she can't be. My wife is open-minded, so relationships like ours are common; she won't be mad," Hans replied nonchalantly.

Shortly after that conversation, Maria came from the entrance and approached them.

"Oh, young lady, are you bringing your foreign behaviors here? You should leave those bad habits there," Maria said, standing behind Natalie.

Natalie was startled when she heard the voice and turned to face Maria.

"Ma-madam," Natalie looked surprised at that moment.

Hans immediately stood up, blocking his wife as if she were about to pounce on her prey.

"Maria, what are you doing?" Hans scolded his wife in front of many people.

"What? Maria? Are you even calling me by my name now? Amazing, what has this female snake given you that you've become like this? Have you slept with her? Are you turning me into another Jessie? No, Hans! I'm not that foolish! Just see, I'll handle this," Maria, suspecting that they were having an affair, looked very angry; her face turned red as if about to explode.

"No, madam, you misunderstand," Natalie tried to calm Maria.

"What did you say? Slept with her? What do you think Natalie is? She is a respectable woman, remember? 75% of your company's funds come from whose family?" Hans scolded Maria in front of everyone.

Natalie felt uncomfortable and eventually left both of them.

"Natalie!" Hans shouted, wanting to chase after her.

Maria restrained Hans by holding his arm.

"Why are you chasing her? Realize that your wife is here!" Maria said emotionally.

"Enough, Maria! You've crossed the line this time," Hans said, pushing away Maria's hand and leaving her behind.

"What? Crossed the line? Hans! Hans!" As if not believing her ears, Maria continued to call Hans, who kept chasing Natalie despite her efforts to stop him.

Outside the restaurant,

"Natalie! Wait!" Hans shouted, trying to stop Natalie, but she continued walking towards the parking lot.

After chasing her for a while, Hans finally reached Natalie's hand and immediately hugged her.

"Natalie, calm down!" Hans said while continuing to hug Natalie tightly. Natalie didn't resist.

"Sir, forgive me for causing you trouble," Natalie said while crying.

Hans released his embrace and wiped away Natalie's tears.

"No, Natalie, I'm happy with you. You didn't cause me any trouble," Hans replied gently.

"But, sir, your wife?" Natalie asked while still sobbing.

"Never mind her; she's always like that," Hans said, trying to comfort Natalie.

"All right, sir, I should go home now," Natalie said, bidding farewell.

"Okay, I'll escort you," Hans said, walking towards Natalie's car parked there.

Natalie just followed Hans' words. Meanwhile, Maria, who was watching them from a distance, became even angrier seeing them.

"Look at you, you shameless woman! Do you want to play games with me?" Maria said with a scornful look at the car that had left the parking lot.

...

Upon arriving at Natalie's house,

"Thank you for escorting me. Let the driver take you back to the office, ah, I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time, especially since you're a very busy person," Natalie said apologetically.

"No, don't think like that again, okay? Well, I'll go back to the office; you go inside!" Hans instructed Natalie, and she nodded, entering the house.

Hans looked very pleased; he felt closer to Natalie.

Inside the house, Natalie checked her phone, which was ringing.

"Meet me tonight at the cafeteria near Hans' office; make sure you come, you shameless woman!" That was the message apparently sent by Maria.

Maria was furious about today's events. She went home and had a heated argument with Hans.

"Do you know she is the daughter of the person who helped your business? Why did you lose your mind like that earlier? Come on, Maria, I did this for you so that your company could run smoother," Hans blamed his wife for today's incident.

"You always say that to me. How can I trust you? I used to be your mistress; do you forget about Jessie? Do you want to turn me into another Jessie? No, Hans! I'm not that foolish! Just see, I'll settle this," Maria said, leaving Hans.

Hans looked very frustrated with his wife's possessive attitude, unlike Jessie, who was once very gentle and never made him angry.

...

In the cafeteria, Natalie was already sitting, waiting for Maria. Shortly after, Maria walked towards Natalie.

Natalie prepared herself for whatever Maria would say to her.

"You shameless woman, I won't beat around the bush with you. I've heard it from all the staff; you came to my husband's office and asked him out, right?" Maria said harshly.

"Madam, are you feeling intimidated by my presence right now?" Instead of answering Maria's question, Natalie threw another question.

"What do you mean?" Maria asked in confusion.

"Well, it's not strange to be in this position. It must feel so blissful, right? Ha ha, Mrs. Maria, I've also heard from the staff that you're just trying to snatch someone else's husband. Oops, sorry if my words are harsh," Natalie provoked Maria, whose mind was boiling at that moment.

"What? You impudent

woman!" Maria said, about to pour water on Natalie, but Natalie held the glass first, and...

"Splash,"

Maria's face got wet from the water Natalie poured.

"Oh, sorry, madam, I'm currently busy, and it seems this time you picked the wrong opponent. Well, I'll be going now," Natalie said, smiling wickedly at Maria.

Maria, who was annoyed, grew even more resentful towards Natalie.

"You shameless woman, have no sense of shame! Your face may look like Jessie's, but your behavior and attitude tonight are the opposite of when you're with Hans. Just wait, I'll get back at you later," Maria said, watching Natalie leave.
