Ch. 19Part 19

Days pass, and Maria, thinking that Natalie is dead, regains her confidence. "Let alone you, Natalie, I've even made the lady of this house disappear. Don't expect to take my place," Maria monologues while preparing herself to go to the office.

At the office, Maria is seen sitting calmly, working on her computer. Shortly after, her secretary knocks on Maria's office door. "Come in!" Maria commands, still focused on her computer.

"Madam, today there's a schedule to meet with Mr. Mac to discuss the launch plan for our latest model design," the secretary informs.

Maria, who was busy with her computer, immediately stops her activities. She looks at the secretary, who is now standing in front of her. "What did you say? Mr. Mac? Have you contacted him again regarding this matter?" Maria asks, looking slightly pale.

"Yes, madam. I confirmed the appointment around 10 AM before lunch," the secretary replies.

"Alright, let me know if there are any changes in the schedule or anything like that," Maria says, looking visibly unsettled.

"How can Mr. Mac be so calm? Shouldn't Natalie still be missing from home?" Maria thinks to herself. Maria, feeling uneasy, tries to call Gadi, but none of Maria's calls are answered by Gadi.

"Damn it! Don't let him fool me!" Maria grumbles in frustration.

As the clock shows 9:45, Maria rushes to Mr. Mac's office. Accompanied by a driver, Maria finally arrives at Mr. Mac's office.

Maria knocks on Mr. Mac's office door, trying to hide her curiosity about Natalie. "Excuse me!" Maria says.

"Please come in!" Mr. Mac replies from inside his office. "Oh, Maria, how are you?" Mr. Mac asks, welcoming Maria warmly.

"Mr. Mac, I'm fine. How about you?" Maria, who is familiar with Mr. Mac, inquires.

"What do you expect from this old man, dear? High cholesterol, blood sugar to watch over, that's my life, ha ha," Mr. Mac replies, known for his playful banter.

"Ha ha, you must continue to take care of your health, sir!" Maria, who is skilled at winning others over, says.

"Of course, dear. I have to live longer to witness my daughter's wedding and have a grandchild," Mr. Mac replies with teary eyes.

"Um, do you mean Miss Natalie?" Maria asks, looking a bit nervous.

"Yes! Of course, you know her, right? She's my only daughter. She's the one I'll spend my life with after my wife's departure," Mr. Mac reminisces about his wife.

While they are chatting, a knock is heard from outside Mr. Mac's office door. The room, with frosted glass walls, only allows them to see the silhouette of someone with long hair standing outside the door.

"Please come in!" Mr. Mac says.

Maria is utterly shocked when she sees Natalie enter Mr. Mac's office, wearing her beautiful red dress. "Oh, Dad, I saw someone in your office, so I knocked on the door first," Natalie says with her charming face, immediately hugging her father with affection.

"Natalie, my daughter, sit down. Dad is with Mrs. Hans here. I'm sure you already know her, right? You've met a few times?" Mr. Mac asks.

"Of course, Dad, I know her very well. We often meet and have coffee together, haven't we, Mrs. Maria?" Natalie asks, showing an intimidating face to Maria.

"Of course, um, how are you, Miss Natalie? Lately, I've been very busy with plans for the new product launch, so I rarely treat you to coffee again," Maria says, pretending to be familiar.

"Hmm? Why are you asking about my well-being? Are you hoping I'm not okay?" Natalie asks, trying to corner Maria. At that moment, Maria seems to be petrified; she can't answer Natalie's question. "Ha ha ha, I'm just kidding, Mrs. I have to learn a lot from Dad to make refreshing jokes," Natalie continues, breaking the tense atmosphere.

"Ah, right, um, in that case, we can discuss the continuation later, Mr. Mac. It seems I have an urgent matter that can't be delayed," Maria excuses herself to Mr. Mac, even before their discussion is finished.

"Why the hurry? Stay a little longer, Mrs. Maria," Natalie urges.

"Ah, next time, I'll treat you coffee again, so for now, I really have to go. Excuse me," Maria says, then hurriedly leaves Mr. Mac's office.

"How could this happen? Gadi said he had finished off Natalie, but what is this? She doesn't even have a scratch on her face," Maria mutters to herself.

On the other hand, Natalie and Mr. Mac are laughing contentedly now. "Ha ha ha, Dad, see her expression? That wicked woman widened her eyes and couldn't even say anything," Natalie says, unable to stop laughing.

"Exactly, actually, this way, we can be sure that the mastermind of your kidnapping is that wicked woman. We just don't have strong evidence to arrest her," Mr. Mac replies to Natalie.

"Someday I will definitely send her to jail. Not only that, she can carry the trash that I didn't realize was around me for years," Natalie says, visibly upset when remembering her ex-husband's infidelity.

...

Elsewhere, Hans, who seems increasingly obsessed with Natalie, sends a message to her. "I really want to be with you tonight, may I?" that's the content of the message Hans sends to Natalie.

While waiting for a reply from Natalie, Hans looks at the photos of Natalie on his social media account. "Ah, why are you so beautiful? Your face really reminds me of her. You are so similar to Jessie, but your personalities are very different. You always show your sweet side to me, while Jessie, she's too soft about everything," Hans says, reminiscing about his ex-wife.

Natalie, who is currently in her boutique, checks her phone, which is ringing. She opens the message from Hans. A sense of disgust envelops Natalie's heart; she seems to want to send him to jail quickly. However, Natalie does not have enough evidence to teach Hans a lesson.

Natalie replies to Hans's message, "Alright, I'm yours tonight, Mr. Hans," that's the content of the message Natalie sends to Hans. This, of course, makes Hans very happy; a disgusting smile is clearly etched on his face, a face full of lust.
