Ch. 7Part 7

Areum ran fast enough to catch up with Saga, who had already checked in. She purposely should have come to the office first if Areum went to the office first. Saga would forbid her to join their business trip.
After checking in, Areum immediately ran to the gate according to the ticket she ordered. Several times, the announcement about the departure of the plane she was about to board was made. Luckily, Areum only carried one bag that wasn't too big so the girl could run freely without any obstacles.

After getting onto the plane without being late, Areum adjusted her labored breathing.
"I've never experienced anything like this," Areum muttered, clutching her tight chest.

"Are you okay, Miss?" asked a flight attendant who noticed something was wrong with Areum.

Areum turned her head quickly to the origin of the flight attendant's voice. Areum moved her hand quickly to say that it was okay.
"I'm glad you're okay. Do you need to be escorted to your seat?" the flight attendant asked again.

"Ah, no need, I can manage on my own. Thank you," Areum said, bowing her body.

After dealing with the flight attendant who thought she was sick, Areum walked to her seat. That's where Secretary Han saw Areum, but Areum quickly put her finger to her lips so that Secretary Han wouldn't let Saga, fixing her seat belt, know about Areum's existence.

"Me, I want to surprise Saga."
Areum spoke without making a sound and only moved her lips. Secretary Han smiled slightly and nodded his head in understanding. After Areum left, Secretary Han chuckled.

"Unique couple," he muttered softly.

"What's wrong, Secretary Han?" asked Saga, who could hear his secretary's words.

Secretary Han looked at Saga and shook his head quickly.
"It's nothing," he eluded then.

Saga frowned in confusion, but he leaned his body comfortably a moment later. She was so tired and wanted to sleep on the way to Jeju. A few seconds later, there was an announcement that the plane would soon take off. Saga opened her eyes slowly and chuckled because she suddenly remembered Areum.

"That girl will be busy looking for someone else's hand if the plane is about to take off," he said to himself.

Sure enough, Areum, sitting in the back seat, was now busy holding the elementary school boy's hand while closing her eyes in fear. Areum didn't even notice the elementary school boy's strange look at her.

Saga and Secretary Han walked hand in hand out of the airport. Secretary Han occasionally looked back because he didn't find Areum anymore.
"Where did that girl go? Is she in trouble?" Secretary Han was a little worried.

Since landing, he hadn't seen Areum at all. The girl suddenly disappeared as the earth swallowed her. Saga, who had sensed Secretary Han's anxiety, gently patted the shoulder of the Secretary, looking back.

"Why are you so anxious, Secretary Han?" asked Saga.

Secretary Han was surprised and looked at Saga now. His head then shook in disagreement with Saga's words.

"Is there anything left behind?"

"Nothing, sir."

"Then, why have you been looking back? Who is it?" urged Saga, who had been watching Secretary Han since before.

Secretary Han then stopped his footsteps, and so did Saga. Now, both of them looked at each other with different expressions.

"Sorry, sir, I think something happened to Ms. Areum."

"Areum?"

"Um, she was on the same plane as us. But she hasn't been seen since landing until now."

Secretary Han's words successfully made Saga widen her eyes. The worried Saga then dashed back into the airport. Saga had already ignored Secretary Han's call again.

Saga breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Areum was fine. He understood that his wife and secretary were terrified of boarding an airplane. If she didn't have a hand to hold during take-off and landing, Areum would be very scared. Worse, Areum could faint because she was too afraid. That's why Saga very rarely invites Areum to travel by plane.

Saga gently patted the back of Areum, who was drinking mineral water that she had gotten from the elementary school student beside her earlier. Saga then looked at the elementary school student and smiled.
"Thank you for helping Uncle's wife."

"It's okay, Uncle. Since leaving earlier, Auntie has been so scared. I regret why I slept earlier. She couldn't hold my hand," the elementary school boy replied.

Saga smiled and then gently rubbed the boy's cheek.
"Take care of Auntie, Uncle! I have to go home," the boy said goodbye.

"Thank you again. Where are your parents?" asked Saga and then squinted.

The boy pointed at the man and woman standing not far from them. Saga stood up and then bowed politely. The two parents of the elementary school boy replied by turning too. The boy then left by hugging Areum before him.

"Don't be afraid anymore, Auntie! Uncle is already here."

"Thank you," said Areum, still feeling shocked and scared.

After the elementary school boy left, Saga sighed profoundly and sat beside Areum. At the same time, Areum looked at Saga with a timid face.
"You intending to surprise me or make me lose my life?" asked Saga.

"Why would I lose my life?" asked Areum innocently.

"Tsk,,, you!"
Saga grabbed Areum just like that without a signal. Saga breathed a sigh of relief that Areum was now okay and by her side.

"Saga_ssi, why is it like this?"

"Just shut up! This is your punishment for making me worry."

"Punishment?"
Areum smiled slightly as she was punished with a hug from Saga.

"It's okay to punish her for a long time," Areum softly chuckled.

Saga released her hug and looked at Areum with a face of disbelief at what she was hearing.

"Just stay in the hotel! Don't go anywhere so I don't have to look for you again," said Saga, who was grooming herself in front of the mirror.

"But, your meeting must be long, right? Why don't I come along?" bargained Areum.

"Secretary Han is already here, so why would I come? Didn't I invite you?"

"But, I wanted to come and keep you company. Because after you return from Jeju, you'll be colder to me."
Areum answered Saga's question just like that without filtering beforehand.

Saga stopped her hand about to put on a tie and looked at Areum with a confused face.

"Cold? What do you mean? Then, how did you know?"

Areum smacked her mouth as she realized her stupidity. Wasn't it only Areum who knew that she was from the future? Saga didn't realize that they were back in the past.

"It's nothing. Forget it! Haven't you always been cold to me? Even though we got married by contract, I want to be treated as warmly as I was at the airport yesterday. Even though there's no mother-in-law around, you can be that warm to me," Areum said, trying to give the most appropriate reason so Saga wouldn't get suspicious.

Areum's words dumbfounded Saga, and he looked at his wife. At the same time, Areum stared at Saga with an innocent face and a happy heart. She managed to trick Saga again so she wouldn't ask many questions.
