Five years. I wasted five years of my life in a damn cell! The reason? For a crime I didn't even commit!
I will always remember that day, that day that changed my life forever. It was my wedding, I was so happy, but someone had to ruin this wonderful time in my life that only lasted a few minutes.
The lifeless body of my sister-in-law, Paulina, will forever be etched in my memory. She was so sweet and kind. So why kill her? Why kill such an innocent girl?
I was devastated after discovering her lifeless body in my room lying on the floor. There was blood everywhere. Everywhere.
But what hurt me the most was that everyone I trusted didn't hesitate to point fingers and call me a murderer. I was devastated. My parents disowned me, my friends turned their backs on me, and my fiancé spat hurtful words in my face that I will never forget. Words that pierced my heart. Words that finished me off.
I also remember the surprise I wanted to surprise him and my family and friends. However, I lost it after Leo hit me hard.
A tear rolled down my cheek thinking back to that night. I had lost everything. All. I was so naive at the time that I didn't see it coming. But all that is over! Yes, it's over! After begging for some money, I stop at a phone booth and call the only person who can help me. Mary, my grandmother.

After taking my shower, I throw myself on the soft bed. It feels fucking good!
I then lie on my back and stare at the ceiling thinking of those people, those people I trusted so desperately who turned their backs on me.
I trusted them. I gave them everything. I loved them.
My parents". My ex-fiancé. My friends".
But as of today, I only feel hatred for them.
They were going to pay!
After having had my breakfast, grandmother suggested that I go shopping to take my mind off things. So I prepare myself before leaving the house and running towards the Ferrari that my grandmother lent me.

I head to the cash register and pay for my purchases before going out and putting all my bags in the trunk of "my" car.

I decide to go buy myself some food. I was really hungry, so I stop in front of a fast food restaurant.
I order a burger with fries and wait patiently for my order to arrive.
I hear laughter at my left and turning my head, I see a beautiful couple, happy with their baby. I smiled when I saw them laugh. They were so happy.
I suddenly start thinking about Leo. I miss him so much despite the pain he caused me. If only he listened to me and believed in me, we would surely be laughing like this couple, we would surely be kissing our baby, but alas, fate decided otherwise.
*FLASHBACK*
"I swear I didn't do anything Leo. I love you and your sister like she was my own. I could never have done such a thing to her.

Leo advances dangerously towards me and takes me violently by the arm.

I can't finish my sentence when his hand slams hard against my cheek.

I moaned in pain when my back banged against the wall, but Leo looked like he had nothing to do because when I fell to the ground, he kicked me in the stomach. Not the belly!

"Are you okay ma'am?" Asked the waiter with a worried look.
I notice only after my tears had flowed. Shit!

He puts down my plate and gives me a last smile, which I return, before turning on my heels.
I can't help but smile when I see my burger and fries. I lick my lips before tasting this marvel. Oh my God ! It's so good! Five years since I had not eaten this!! Five years!
I eat my hamburger when someone comes to sit in front of me, on MY table! No, but he thought he was at home?! I didn't even give it permission to install!
Raising my head, I choke on my hamburger. There is a bomb in front of me!! A bomb! My God! Beautiful brown hair, green eyes, lips... Damn, luscious lips! I also see his muscles under his white shirt.

When he smiles at me, I notice his beautiful dimples! It is a divine beauty!

I then look at my ring finger. I still had Leo's engagement ring, I never threw it away. I always had it with me and I wonder if he still has his with him. Obviously not. I'm so dumb.
"Nope.

- They offered it to me." I lied
He raises an eyebrow staring at me.
I'm trying hard not to let my tears flow and I think he's noticed since he's stroking my cheek.
His hand was so soft.
"I'm really sorry." He apologized looking at me sadly
"Why?
-To have awakened bad memories.

I smile at him and finish my burger. I raise an eyebrow at his amused expression.

-You are the first woman I see eating a hamburger and fries.
-Oh good?
- Yes. Usually they only eat salad.
-Well, sorry to disappoint you but I don't really like salads.
"I saw that." He replied in an amused tone.
We talk for several minutes when his phone rings. He looks at it and blows.
"I have to go. Nice to meet you miss.
-Likewise."
He takes my hand and gives a kiss before leaving. It made me smile in minutes. I really hope we meet again.
I take my bag and head to the cash register to pay my bill.

As I walk to my car, I hear two people arguing in the parking lot. A man and a woman. Unfortunately, I can't see their faces since their backs are to me.
I get in my car and fasten my seatbelt. However, I do not start, I was very curious by nature so I listen to the conversation of the couple.
"But I'm telling you it's not my fault!"
screamed the woman
"If it's your fault that Maya broke her leg because you were too busy playing with your cell phone instead of taking care of your daughter!"
