Donnie
“Girls just wanna have fun,” I sang to myself as I glammed up my face. My Hallyu make-up routine made me look like a pop star.
I stood and admired my outfit in the full-length mirror.
“Damn! But I look good!” I praised myself. I wore a black lace bralet top, a black leather miniskirt and thigh-high boots.
I took a picture of my outfit and immediately sent it to Lisa.
A second later, my phone buzzed with a notification. I tapped on it to see Lisa's reply.

Damn! Girl you look hot! All eyes r gonna be on us in the club!

I laughed and sent my own message to Lisa, reminding her not to be late, so we could have our grand entrance together.
I packed my purse with clubbing essentials; cash, pepper spray, bubblegum, wipes and a card of ibuprofen. After that, I left my room.
“Jack,” I called out, “I hope you're ready!”
“I got ready ages ago,” Was Jack's weary response. I followed the sound of his voice to the sitting room, and found him sitting on the sofa, his legs crossed in a masculine position.
When he saw me, Jack rose and took a gander at me.
I suddenly felt shy and exposed under his gaze. To hide how I felt I returned his gaze. Jack was wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
I gave him my best unimpressed sneer, “You don't go clubbing, do you?”
“No,” Was Jack's stony response, as he kept looking at me as if I were a piece of dirt under his worn sneakers.
“It shows,” I continued my unprovoked onslaught, “Your outfit isn't what a man who knows his way around clubs wears.”
Jack raised an eyebrow, “Would you rather I dressed like you?”
He placed so much emphasis on the last word, like I was wearing a trash bag.
“What's wrong with the way I'm dressed?” I asked defensively.
“You're too exposed,” Jack criticized, “That top barely covers anything, and that skirt is too tight. You should put on a jacket.”
“I don't know if you have noticed, Jack,” I retorted, “But my breasts aren't big. There's barely nothing to cover. And I paid good money for this top, so why on earth would I cover it with a jacket?”
Jack pinched the bridge of his nose, “You're an attractive young woman, dressed provocatively. You're going to a place filled with drunk horny men. How is that not a recipe for disaster?”
My heart beat faster when I processed his words. Jack had just called me attractive. He thought I was hot. I immediately silenced that stupid little voice in my head, and instead said, “You think I don't know that? Lisa and I have measures we take in the club so nothing happens to us.”
“Yeah,” Jack's reply was downright sarcastic, “You and Lisa are a formidable duo.”
“Moreover,” I ignored his quip, “That's why we have you, Jack. You'll protect us, won't you?”
Jack nodded, “Yes, I will. But remember our deal. You have to—”
“Yasss!” I spoke over Jack. I wasn't going to let him put a damper on my mood with his lectures and his nagging, “Let's hit the road!”
I raced out of the house and got into my car, laughing all the way.

Lisa and I had put in a lot of thought to the club we decided to meet at. It was really new and had really high ratings online. Lisa and I fancied ourselves club critics, and so we'd come to see for ourselves if the club lived up to its hype.
At the club's parking lot, I saw Lisa. I whistled with appreciation when I got a glimpse of her outfit.
Lisa's full figure was encased in a halter back minidress and her feet were in expensive platform heels.
“Oh my God!” I shouted, “You look so delicious, Lisa!”
Lisa and I embraced and exchanged air kisses, drew back and began to rave about our outfits.
“Are we heading in, or do you two plan to party out here?” Jack interrupted us.
Lisa finally noticed Jack for the first time.
“Jack,” She coughed.
“Ms Sinclair,” Jack nodded.
An emotion I could only describe as relief swamped me. Jack and Lisa really had nothing going on between them. Jack had actually rebuffed Lisa. I still thought the whole thing was surreal.
“We're heading in,” I clasped Lisa's hand in mine and together we made our way to the club's entrance, where there was a long line of people waiting to get in.
“So, have you asked Jack out yet?” I already knew the answer to that question, but it would be weird of me not to ask.
Lisa hissed, “Yes, and it was so sad.”
“Why? What happened?” I queried automatically.
“He turned me down.” Lisa answered flatly. I could tell Jack had hurt her ego by turning her down.
“Oh no!” I forced myself to act surprised, “He did? The nerve!”
“I know, right?” Lisa tsked.
“Do you hate him now?” I smiled, “Are you on my side?”
Lisa tutted, “Honestly, I kinda resent him for rejecting me, but that will pass. I don't think I hate him. In fact, I still think he's a good guy just doing his job.”
I rolled my eyes, “Girl, you're a better person than I am.”
“I thought we had already established that fact!” Lisa said, and we burst into laughter.
When we cut the waiting line and approached the bouncer, a burly woman with blond highlights in her hair. We gave her our names and she let us in.
We'd barely taken a step when we heard Jack arguing with the bouncer.
“Lady, I'm with those women,” Jack explained.
“Who're you calling a lady?” The bouncer snarled.
Jack cleared his throat and made eye contact with me. I grinned mischievously at him.
Lisa took pity on Jack and said to the bouncer, “He's with us.”
“You sure?” The bouncer eyed Jack's outfit, “He doesn't look it.”
“Told ya,” I winked at Jack.
Lisa repeated, “He's with us.”
“If you say so,” The bouncer shrugged and let Jack through. The music from the dance floor hit my ears. I exchanged glances with Lisa and knew we were in for a hell of a night.
