Henry stood up feeling tense, frantic, worried, and unsettled. He even subconsciously stood up while biting the fingers of his right hand. He couldn't do this anymore. The crowded hospital halls, and the rush of people, made Henry even more impatient. He poked his head in the direction of the door with the small round window there, to see what was inside the room. Surgery room. Henry put his right palm against the cold operating room door. He didn't even care anymore about the wounds on his body, or even the bandages covering his wounds that were still bleeding there.
“Louisa...”
Henry muttered. His eyes stared blankly with tears in his eyes. Louisa was in the operating room since an hour ago. Not even a single nurse came out of the room to say anything to him. Henry turned around and lowered his head. He was helpless. He had never felt anything like this before. He didn't want to lose Louisa. Henry lifted his head and looked around the hospital hallway. The bomb explosion that happened earlier made almost everyone who came to the wedding hall ended up in the same hospital like both of them.
Henry didn't know how he could explain the feelings he was currently feeling. He was so scared. So fucking scared. And there's a lot of confusion in his mind right now. Henry couldn't even look at the people who were injured or killed by the explosion. What was on his mind now was Louisa. Just Louisa only. If something serious happened to Louisa, Henry wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing Mr. George just right now. Henry's palms clenched tightly as he felt the anger in his heart.

Henry immediately turned around and stared at the operating room door. Two doctors, and several nurses came out of the room. With their surgical coats stained with blood. Henry's body was shaking. “Doctor… how? H-how is Louisa doing? Is she okay?” Henry tried to ask, though his voice seemed so hard to come out at this point.
One of the doctors removed the mask over his face. “Miss Louisa is fine. The wounds on her body have been completed, we continue to follow up. After forty-eight hours, Miss Louisa will come to her senses. And during that time, we have to keep evaluating the situation. She could be in a coma, critical, and so on. So it needs assistance in a special room. In a moment, we will be moving Miss Louisa's nightstand to her special room on the fourth floor. You can help with the administration, Sir.” The doctor explained Louisa's condition to Henry.
Henry, who subconsciously held his breath while listening to the doctor's explanation, immediately sighed with great relief. “Thank God… she's fine. Oh God... thank you...” Henry mumbled as he put his palms together and kissed them a few times.
“But…” A second later, one of the other doctors started to speak. Making Henry look directly at them for the umpteenth time. “We are really sorry to say this. However, the fetus that Miss Louisa was carrying could not be saved. She had a miscarriage as a result of this accident. We are truly sorry, and saddened by the loss to Miss Louisa and to you, sir.”
Henry felt his world collapsing again for the umpteenth time. His face turned pale and pale. Like there was no color of life on his face that very moment. Henry even opened his lips with an incredulous look in his eyes. His body felt limp for a moment. Henry subconsciously stepped back his feet, slightly away from the doctor and the nurses who were standing in front of him with concerned faces.
“N-no… no. This is not possible. W-we didn't even know about the fetus. I didn't know if Louisa was pregnant. She must not know about it either.” Henry muttered in disbelief, shaking his head several times.
Henry leaned his body against the hospital wall. His face was getting paler and frantic. With tears streaming down her face. His eyes flashed destruction. Then slowly, Henry's body fell down on the cold floor there. Henry hid his face in the crook of his legs. He is crying. He felt so lost right now. The doctor and the nurses slowly left the operating room, while the other nurses came into the operating room and took Louisa's nightstand. Henry saw it. Louisa who was still unconscious.
Roughly, Henry wiped the tears from his face with the palms of his hands. Then stood up with the steps of both legs limp, there is no energy at all. Henry approached Louisa's nightstand there. Trying to follow Louisa's nightstand which the nurse brought to her current inpatient room. Henry looked at Louisa's calm face. The bandages on Louisa's forehead, shoulders, arms and legs made Henry even more unable to control himself. But he tried to hold himself back. This is not the right time for it.
And when they all arrived on the fourth floor of Louisa's inpatient room, the nurse finished moving Louisa to a new nightstand and made sure the IV, oxygen and other things in Louisa's body were properly installed. Henry stood still not far from them. Staring blankly. "Excuse us, sir." Said the nurses as they left Louisa's inpatient room there.
The door to the room closed slowly. Leaving Henry and Louisa in the room. The atmosphere was quiet and calm, making Henry indecisive. He was getting dazed. Then slowly, Henry stepped his feet closer to the nightstand, where Louisa lay sleeping there. Henry sat in the small chair that was right next to Louisa's nightstand. The sound of Louisa's life support was getting louder and clearer in Henry's ears at this time.
Henry looked at Louisa's face. There were red sores on Louisa's cheeks. Slowly, Henry raised his right hand and gently rubbed the bruise on Louisa's cheek. No response. Louisa wasn't even bothered in the slightest by the touch Henry gave her wound. Henry stammered. The feeling of stiffness and tension returned to his feelings. He couldn't take it anymore. Until finally, slowly, Henry grabbed Louisa's left palm using both of his palms there.
Henry lowered his head and wept. His body trembled violently, as tears continued to flow from his eyelids at this very moment. "I'm sorry, Louisa. Please forgive me." Henry muttered. "I can't take good care of you. I failed to be able to take care of you. I'm so sorry, Louisa."
Henry pressed his forehead against Louisa's cold left palm. "We lost it, Louisa." Henry raised his head and looked at Louisa. "We lost our future child. You're pregnant, Louisa. And please, I'm sorry that I can't take care of it too. Since I'm not good at taking care of you guys, we have to lose our future child, Louisa. Please forgive me." Henry again blamed himself.
Several times Henry kissed the palm of Louisa's left hand there. Until his eyes fell on the promise ring he gave Louisa. There's a little bloodstain there. Henry hurriedly let go of Louisa's palm, and turned to take a piece of tissue from the table beside the nightstand. Slowly and carefully, Henry wiped the bloodstain on the promise ring. He rubbed it a few times, until Henry was sure there were no more bloodstains on the promise ring.
Henry put the tissue on the table, and grabbed Louisa's palm again. “I will fight hard, Louisa. I will get that justice for you. For both of us. And also for our late child. I will not let Mr. George lived in peace, while I was alive. I won't let him laugh one more time." said Henry confidently.
There was anger and resentment that seemed so smoldering in his eyes which were still filled with tears. Her face was flushed, her teeth chattering against her lips. "I won't let those evil people destroy our lives. They have to pay for it properly. Wounds pay for wounds. So a life for a life."
Henry looked deeply at Louisa. Henry straightened up and kissed Louisa's forehead a little longer. “I promise, Louisa. He will pay the right price, for all the things he has done. I won't let him live the rest of his life in peace. I promise."
Henry rubbed Louisa's face slowly. Before long, his facial expression turned dark. There was sadness again visible on his face. “Now, I have to wait two days for you to come to your senses, Louisa. Forty-eight hours long. I can't wait that long not to talk to you." Henry paused. “But when you wake up later… how… how can I tell you everything, Louisa? How can I say that we lost our future child who we didn't even know existed? How can I tell you everything??”
Henry was silent for a moment. There was no more enthusiasm. The silence and serenity in the room reminded Henry of the loneliness he felt when he first worked as a bodyguard at the agency. He's lonely. Uncertain direction and also lost hope. Now, Henry can only continue to pray that Louisa's condition will remain fine, and that other things will not worry her. He could no longer feel lost. Henry's eyes stared blankly at the left palm that he had been holding there for a long time.
The cold and warmth of Henry's palms kept him awake. Henry was sure that Louisa would be fine. In addition, Henry must also be able to prepare himself to tell all the things that happened today to Louisa, when Louisa wakes up later. He didn't want anything to be hidden from Louisa. He won't lie. But he would try his best to slowly tell all the truth to Louisa.
Henry just needed to brace himself even more. However, if Louisa already knew everything then, Henry had to stay strong to strengthen Louisa. Henry also didn't know what reaction Louisa would have when she first came to her senses or even when she heard everything from Henry. That they had lost their future child. Louisa miscarried....
