Ch. 7Chapter 7

"Wow, nice house," Clark's eyes popped open in enthrallment as he and George were being led by Hannah into her new apartment. "Thanks, welcome to my humble abode," Hannah's lips curved out a broad smile. "It's a beautiful house," Joshua commented. "Thanks," Hannah said.

"So what would you both like," Hannah's eyes twitched and beamed with curiosity. "Just a drink would be okay," Clark smiled amicably. "Same for me," Joshua added. "You guys are joking if you think that after visiting my new apartment for the first time, then am going to let you walk out of here after drinking wine," Hannah said rolling her eyes amicably.

"So just sit down and am going to get you both Deep dish pizza and the wine you requested," Hannah said with a stern expression and an amicable face.

Clark and Joshua both sat down beside each other on one of the couches in the sitting room to wait for their meal.

Jane finally arrived in San Diego at the airport and welcomed my musicians playing guitar and harp. Some of the musicians sang in Mexico while others followed in English.

A limousine car was waiting for Jane and Jane knew it was her driver. "Hey Smith," Jane said smiling at Smith a tall fair man who collected her belongings and opened the door of the limousine for her to enter. "Welcome madam," Smith said as Jane entered the limousine.

"You shouldn't have bothered about bringing the limousine. I sent a message that I would board a taxi to get home," Jane argued. "Am sorry madam but the boss and madam insisted that I pick you up from the airport," Smith implored as he bowed knowledgeably.

"Well, it's okay. How has everything been?" Jane flickered her hair. "Fine ma," Smith said as he drove into the gate that opened automatically when he pressed the car horn. The gate closed automatically immediately after they entered the compound of the huge mansion.

"Hey! My daughter is back Jane is finally back," a fair average-sized woman said as she waltzed forward to engulf Jane in a warm embrace. "Hello Mom," Jane's lips croaked out a smile. Jane's mother, Rosemary was short compared to Jane who was tall so most times Jane had to bend a bit while hugging her mother.

"Come in, there is plenty for you to eat," Rosemary announced with euphoria as they both entered the lounge room. Bernard, Jane's father was in the lounge room smiling when Jane arrived. "Finally the Sunderland family is now complete with the arrival of our firstborn," Bernard gurgled with delight.

"Hello Dad," Jane smiled elegantly."Hello dear come and hug your father," Bernard opened his arms for a warm embrace. Jane snuggled him suspiciously being whimsically calculative about the main reason they called her to come which she had already guessed.

"Jane, I have missed you," John a tall thin young man in a baseball shirt, coming from the stairs waltzed in and snuggled Jane. "Have missed you too John, how is school going," Jane enquired. "Going on well," John chuckled and giggled heartily.

"We prepared a meal for you come and eat," Rosemary announced amicably leading Jane to the dining room.

Hannah returned with Plates containing Deep-dish pizza and two cups of wine. "Here, you guys can enjoy," Hannah smiled as she placed it on the table. Clark and Joshua enjoyed the meal as they ate.

"So how are you holding up?" Hannah enquired facing Clark. "Not easy at all, my Dad thinks he can force me to marry Samantha, but he is very wrong and I will prove it to him," Clark clenched his teeth.

"This is very serious," Hannah said with a stern expression. "Yeah, too bad," Joshua said amidst eating. "Although my Mom seems to understand me then my Dad has agreed to talk to him. But I know my Dad that he is stone-headed," Clark said amidst eating.

"Well, let's just hope for the best. I wish all this situation is resolved," Hannah said...

Later that day when her parents weren't around, Jane went out to the backyard following the scent of the weed she was smelling. "John! So you still smoke weed till now?" Jane blurted out angrily. "Hey sis, don't raise your voice," John implored as he flinched away.

"It's just a little weed and am almost done," Jane implored. "But why would you do such a thing near the house especially since Dad and Mom aren't around," Jane's eyes twitched in curiosity. "Calm down sis or are you going to tell on me," John enquired. "Of course not, but you have to stop it," Jane said as she went back to her room.

"No am not marrying Samantha and that's final!" Clark said pacing angrily in the lounge room where Reymond and Theresa sat. "You will as long as you are my son except you aren't," Reymond's tanned face turned rudy red.

"I won't and it's final, I only controlled myself the other time and now am set on not doing so anymore if they should come again to marry me off," Clark blurted out vexed.

"I told you before that Jacob and his wife Rose can be trusted since their company is partnering with ours," Reymond said. "What do you take me for?" Clark enquired angrily. "For someone you just use anyhow to fulfil business purposes or plans or someone you love and respect as a son?" Clark enquired.

"How dare you question my authority?" Reymond blurted out angrily.

"Honey calm down," Theresa implored. "Why don't we let him bring the lady he says he wants to marry and let's see for ourselves, who knows we might like her for him," Theresa suggested. "Am not going to support that," Reymond said.

Clark climbed up the stairs to his master bedroom angrily. "See now you have made him mad," Theresa said. "What about him making me mad?" Reymond said. "See, Jacob along with his wife and their daughter Samantha would be coming tomorrow to make the marriage more formal, so you better convince our son to behave himself unless the Thai house would be hot for the both of us," Reymond said as exited to his room.

Jane picked up her phone and remembered she texted Clark that she would be going to San Jose to visit her parents. "How was it," Clark typed. "Well, for now, it's going smoothly am just anticipating the contract marriage card," Jane replied. "Well, that's my case and it's not going well," Clark typed.

"Don't worry dear we will discuss more on this tomorrow, good night sleep tight," Jane texted. "I love you," Clark texted. "I love you too," Jane replied as she slept off.

The following morning after she had eaten and had her bath she went downstairs to the lounge room to see a tall handsome man sitting down on one of the couches. She knew she recognized him as one of the men she rejected when they made advances on her.
