Ch. 6Chapter 6

"What!" Joshua and Hannah exclaimed in unison, bewildered. "I just can't believe it," Hannah huffed. "So how would you cope with the situation on the ground?" Joshua enquired. "I don't know but I know one thing for sure I won't marry someone I don't love," Clark argued indignantly.

"Wow, okay, but I thought you were saying that you have someone you already love?" Joshua's eye twitched in curiosity. "Yes, of course, her name is Jane we just met recently," Clark retorted massaging his temples. "Wow! I understand how you would be feeling bro," Joshua sympathised.

"He kissed her," Hannah announced smiling. "Wow," Joshua" 's lips curved into a broad smile. "Well, that's how love, at first sight, works everything is so swift," Joshua said. "Exactly, it was love at first sight, when they met," Hannah smirked "Well done, Hannah," Clark said humorously.

"Anyways, have created a group chat in case you want to need us both to attend to you. You are going through a lot bro," Joshua said with his usual propensity of building long-term friendships. "Well, that's not true compared to Hannah's case. She is the one that needs to be given consideration more," Clark retorted amicably.

"Well, you have a point but the main point is that the two of you are facing a lot," Joshua said. "Well, there is no problem with that because I would move on with time," Hannah said...

The trio were still having fun after they just finished their meal when they went swimming in the pool in the backyard of the mansion. "Wow, this is cool," Jane tried to wipe water from her face to see clearly. "Yes, it is," Jenna did the same.

"Am glad that you both are having fun, there is more to this I assure you. Cheers to a wonderful friendship," Sarah chuckled amicably. "Cheers!" Jane and Jenna said in unison.

That evening after Clark returned home after his driver dropped him off, he returned home to meet his Dad and Mom waiting for him in the lounge room.

"Good day Dad and Mom," he greeted seething through clenched fists. "Dad, why would you do such without letting me know about it? Without informing me?" Clark complained bitterly. "What do you mean by that, the Michaelsons are very good people. Especially my friend Jacob and his wife Rose not to talk about their lovely beautiful daughter," Reymond fixated his gaze on his son.

"Dad, you should have told me and I would have let you know that am already in love with someone else and it's just that I haven't made it very formal yet," Clark announced unfazed. "What do you mean by that?" Reymond blurted out angrily.

"Honey, calm down," Theresa said facing Reymond. "You mean you have someone else?" Theresa said facing Clark. "Yes Mom, met her at San Jose," Clark said with a stern expression. "If you think you would be able to embarrass me, you are just joking, you will have to marry Samantha except you aren't my son, and just know what other feelings you may have for another lady would be transient enough," Reymond blurted angrily and entered his room.

"Wait a minute, I would talk to your father. If we have met her and she is a good person, then maybe you can marry her as you wish," Theresa said amicably. "Exactly ma she is a good person," Clark said in a polemic manner against his dad's last statement.

"Alright then I will try and talk to your father today," Theresa let out a low puff

"Thanks, Mom," Clark said as he went upstairs to his master bedroom.

Clark lay on his bed pondering about everything that had happened. "No matter the outcome of his parent's discussion, he would never marry Samantha," He thought to himself.

He received a message from George and checked it. "How is everything going in San Francisco?" George typed. "Very bad," Clark replied. "What happened?" George replied tagging his message with a pity emoji. "My parents are just forcing me to marry one new lady that they claim is the daughter of their friend," Clark typed.

"Shit!" George replied. "I feel your pain bro," George added. "Yes, but it seems as if my Mom is going to try to talk to my Dad about it," Clark typed "Yeah that would be nice, so when will you be returning to San Jose?" George typed. "As soon as I have sought our everything," George typed.

"Alright then, the students have been missing you greatly," George typed. "I have missed them too, my best regards to them," Clark typed "Sure, later on then," George typed and went offline.

Clark overheard arguments from his parent's room and knew it was about his issue. Clark knew his father was stone-headed and wouldn't easily be swayed or convinced to change his mind whenever he planned to do something.

"Come in," Clark said as he heard a knock on his door. He knew it would be Nicole. "Hey brother, Heard the conversation downstairs and am sure you can hear the arguments going on," Nicole said. "Yes, have made up my mind and it can't be changed am not going to marry any Samantha," Clark said with his tone laced with coldness.

"I feel for you brother. Does that mean when am ready that's the same way Dad would force me to marry anyone he wants," Nicole enquired curiously. "Hmm, let's not even go far and focus on now because tomorrow will take care of itself. And I hope you are preparing to protest if such a day should come?"

"Well, you are right, but this isn't just right. Why do rich people always have this issue with being forced by their parents to get married to someone who we don't want to?"

"Honestly, I don't know. But I have decided that I won't succumb to marrying Samantha and I am ready to face the Michaelson and tell them straight,"

"Alright brother, am going to the University. Need to attend a lecture," Nicole said as she exited Clark's room with her bags.

After the time they had in Sarah's mansion, Jane and Jenna drove back home to get Jane's fee loads and then drove towards the airport in Jenna's small Tesla car.

"I can't believe you are going now to San Diego to visit your parents," Jenna said driving on the wheels. "Well, that's what it is, I just need to go there show my face and return to whatever duties am doing here in San Jose," Jane said with a stern expression.

"Alright then make sure to keep me updated bye," Jenna said as she retreated after escorting Jane towards the air stairs. "Bye then," Jane hugged Jenna and headed forward to the aircraft cabin and kept her bags in the cargo holds and then sat on the airline seat.

"So how far is it? The situation?" Joshua inquired curiously as he was driven by Clark in his SUV. "Well, it's still bad, I mean they argued yesterday and It seems my Dad would become hell-bent on not changing his mind but I won't change mine," Clark said.

"Yes, it's over there," Joshua pointed his hand to an apartment to indicate Hannah's new residence. As they parked their car in front of the apartment they saw Hannah sitting on the porch of their house.
