Ch. 4Chapter 4

"Hi, what would you like to eat?" A stewardess in a white uniform said smiling at them. "Ooh, meat with egg roll for me and a glass of merlot wine should do," Hannah's face beamed with a smile as she spoke.

"Okay, sir what about you," The stewardess said succinctly facing Joshua.

"Ooh me, probably the same thing she ordered," Joshua's eyes twitched as he replied.

"And you sir?" The stewardess enquired curiously facing Clark. "Same here too," Clark said amicably, feeling a little bit peckish.

"Alright noted just give us about two minutes everything would be brought to you," The stewardess said as she exited the scene...

She returned later with two other female stewardesses in exactly two minutes with each of them holding a tray with plates of the same food they all ordered altogether and were served and ate well. Joshua slept off immediately after he finished eating not too long before the three stewardesses came to pack the empty utensils used for eating and drinking.....

"Am sorry, I went too far, I shouldn't have said that, I guess I wasn't myself," Jane apologized contritely as she faced Jenna in the sitting room.

"My point exactly, you aren't always yourself when it comes to men, and am just trying to correct that alone," Jenna said with a stern expression.

"I know please just forgive me am sorry," Jenna said contritely. "Well, it's okay, mistakes happen, but you know the reason why I don't have a man yet?" Jenna said.

"Yes, I do," Jane said.

"Exactly am learning from your experience, and I don't think am ready yet and even when I get ready in the future it will be after several years of serious studying just to be cautious," Jenna joked as her mood swings to a hearty one.

"You are crazy you know," Jane joked, hugging Jenna who hugged her back briskly.

"You should be a detective you know. You will be good at investigating criminals" Jane said causing them to laugh in unison.

"Wow! If I become one I would investigate your case first of being too emotional about relationships with men," Jenna Japed. "Alright, noted," Jane said......

While Hannah was sleeping where she sat on the airseats, a paper she was holding fell from her hands and Clark helped to pick it up. "Signed divorce legal documents," Clark read the inscription in his mind after failing to fight the temptations not to read it.

"Give that back," Hannah blurted out grabbing the documents from his hands. "Ooh am sorry I didn't mean to pry," Emotions churned up in Clark's chest as he pondered about her irrefutable dilemma which might be inexplicable for her to explain.

"So I guess you aren't going to San Francisco to meet your husband but to get away from a divorce with him in San Jose right?" Clark said whimsically.

"I think you are refusing to mind your business and I have little time for those who don't," Hannah retorted angrily and loudly as she snapped, this time waking up Joshua.

"What's going on now? Why are you acting up so belligerently just now? I thought we were cool just now with each other?" Clark said curiously

"Hey, what's wrong, newly made friends shouldn't just fight at the time they made friends hence they would be serious enemies in the future if they should ever meet," Joshua caveated

"Please, tell her that," Clark said facing Joshua.

"Tell that to yourself," Hannah snapped.

"Hey, just calm down what exactly happened," Joshua said curiously. "I just helped to pick up the document that fell from her hands,"

"And then you pried where you shouldn't have," Hannah cut in completely vexed.

"Hey, guys I hope you know people are around us. You are making them wake up from their beloved sleep," Joshua said.

"Ooh was it because I discovered the secret you are keeping," Clark enquired almost callously.

"Yes, tell the whole world that I going to San Francisco to start a new life since I divorced my husband when I was in San Jose!" Hannah snapped callously.

"Ooh, I see what happened, those issues happen, you know what, Clark why don't you come to sit down where am sitting so we can calm things down first," Joshua advised as he rose and exchanged seats with Clark when he noticed the consistency at which they both exchange heated stares.

"Just calm down you guys, everything that happened was a mistake and it shouldn't escalate,"

"I know just tell him not to pry anymore," Hannah said. "It's alright now," Clark said.

The plane landed at San Francisco airport by Eleven AM in the morning. Clark and Joshua waggled out together out of the aircraft cabin through the airstairs alongside other passengers.

"It was great knowing you both," Joshua said. "I hope we meet again, though, I know you both aren't ready to settle now but I promise you it will be settled," Joshua said as he exchanged numbers with Clark and as they both departed to their various destinations.

"So Sarah Hillary wants a hangout just the two of with her at her place," Jenna said facing Jane in the sitting room." ooh that would be cool, except that I would be going to the clinic for work tomorrow," Jane said.

"You didn't even let me finish my statement. Of course, she wants to meet but it's during evening hours when you have closed," Jenna said. "Ooh okay then it's okay," Jane said. "Alright, I would let her know that you agreed," Jenna said. "You need to see her mansion, anytime am at her place it makes me remember the fact that you are hiding your true wealth," Jenna said.

"Haven't we dealt with that all ready now?" Jane said. "I know but am just saying," Jenna said typing meds Sarah and jumping up in excitement when she got a reply instantly. "Wow! Sarah says that you won't regret the hangout for even a bit," Jenna said.

"It's alright," Jane said. "But wait a minute aren't you also going to work tomorrow and won't you close later than I?" Jane said curiously. "Ooh, my about my job in the catering shop, I currently close earlier than I used to because I talked to my boss about it," Jenna said. "Okay then," Jane said.

Clark came out of the taxi he boarded straight home. He removed his box from the back of the taxi and knocked at the gate of his family house. The gates opened automatically since the cameras around had detected that he was the one at the gate.

Has he entered the compound with his box in his hands, the gates closed automatically. He stood before the huge mansion that had five cars parked beside it in a parking lot, a swimming pool, a waterfall and beautiful flowers designing the surroundings, especially the entrance.

"Welcome Master Clark," an average-sized lady in a white uniform said bowing her head as she helped him carry his box. "Ooh Mary, how are you doing?" Clark said. "Very fine master Clark," Mary said bowing her head again and following him inside the lounge room.

Clark entered the lounge room to meet his father Reymond, his mother, Theresa and his little sister Nicole in the sitting room waiting for him. Nicole ran to hug him."Good day Dad, good day Mom," Clark said as he hugged Nicole who came to hug him.

"It's good to see you, son," Reymond said. "Same here Dad," Clark said. "So would you like to eat?" Theresa said curiously. "No Mom, I ate on the plane," Clark said as he headed forward to the room.

"It's been two. months now, since you left us for San Jose," Nicole said facing Clark. She waited for him to rest a little before disturbing him. "Well, you know the circumstances, if not that Dad is forcing me to get married to the family of Michaelson's, I wouldn't have left," Clark said.

"What's that sound," Clark rose upon hearing the sound of the cat that entered the compound. Clark knew the Michaelson's car very well and wondered who could have let them in as he stood stunned glancing at the Michaelson's as they all entered the lounge room.
