Ch. 3Keeping her

Angel slowly opened her eyes, worried by the sound of someone pacing the room. She sat up slowly and braced herself. The vampire from the day before was watching her and suddenly pointed to her face with a terrified expression. She immediately reached for it and stared wide-eyed. She noticed his lips curved into a mischievous grin.

"You are finally awake, my dear Sanya," he grins.

"Sanya? Who is Sanya, and why are you calling me Sanya?" she asked, confused, and sighed heavily.

"Why are you asking, honey? Isn't it obvious?" He smirks. She stared at him silently, feeling hollow on the inside. "You are my Sanya, my only incarnated mate," He added as he walked closer to her.

"Anyway, I miss you. I couldn't help myself, I want you so bad," he sat beside her and cleared his throat, trying to control himself.

"So...what are you going to do to me?" she wondered nervously. He chuckled and leaned in close to her. "Is he going to murder me as well?" She asked herself.

"Don't think like that honey. I'm not going to kill you unless you don't behave," he whispered as Angel swallowed hard. The man chuckled at her reaction. "Kidding. Well, I'm going to marry you and mark you as mine so better behave yourself because you can't refuse your mate, no matter what." His throat sounded dry, and his gaze moved down to her throat. She noticed his pupils dilate the moment his eyes stopped moving.

She kept a close eye on him as he tried to touch her chin. He licked his lips as a strand of his black hair fell into his eyes and traced her jawbone.

He frowned as he turned her head to show more of her throat.

"Hm.." He smiled doubtfully as he moved closer to her.

She flinched as he pressed his lips against her. A provocative shock spread through her body the moment their lips touched.

She screamed and lunged at him, only to be stopped by the chains. Their tongues fought for what seemed like an eternity before he trailed his lips down her chin, throat, and to her mole above her chest. He licked the area above her breast with his fangs, and the sound of her flesh tearing echoed inside her ears. She winced and licked her lower lip.

He pressed his chest against her and pinned her to the cold floor. His hand gently rubbed the outside of her hip, attempting to draw her spotlight away from the bite.

As terror combusted through her, she quivered and her heart started to hurt inside.

She clenched her jaw after feeling a pinch where he was eating.

She screamed in agony, pleading with him to stop drawing too much blood. He exposed his fangs before seizing her wrist. She screamed, "Stop! It hurts!" as he bit into her again. His eyes were lifeless.

He dropped her wrist and abruptly stopped eating. He had a twisted smirk on his face, but it vanished as soon as her vision became foggy.

She kicked at him while muttering, "I hate you, monster," but he pulled away. Then, Angel gave him a quick look.

At the building's front door, a voice echoed, "Handsome, handsome vampires." Then a man stood tall and said, "Hello my darling brother," as he stood back and watched them.

The vampire who was holding her hostage asked his brother, who was eagerly observing her, "What are you doing here Stanley?" The man asked coldly.

He slicked back his black hair to reveal his stunning blue eyes. "I was wondering where you were going. It seems I happened to come upon something I had never expected. Can I have one bite at least? "

His tone was firm: "Back off Stanley. She is my property. No one touches her. She exclusively belongs to me." The man possessively said.

Stanley mumbled and materialized before her, saying, "She must be an exception for you to act that way. Hmm, let's see." He moved so quickly that she didn't even notice.

The vampire said, "Hey," grabbing Stanley's arm, but Stanley pushed him away.

Stanley grinned, "I'm just looking." She prepared herself and cast a sidelong glance at him.

As he seized her shirt, Stanley lowered his eyes to hers. As he carefully removed her shirt, she inhaled deeply. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at her.

Above her breast, Stanley felt the birthmark. At his touch, she winced and turned to gaze at his brother.

Her heart was broken by Stanley's remarks, "I see, so you've come to like such a thing." As he stroked his brother's bite marks, she felt anger well up inside her.

Stanley said with amusement, "I've never seen a birthmark before. Is she Sanya's incarnation? "

She rolled her eyes and mumbled to herself, "F*ck, are they crazy? why do they keep claiming that I'm Sanya's incarnation? In this modern-day, they are still a believer in the incarnation thing. Damn, this is so annoying I really want to go home right now."

She was met by his eyes, and he grinned. Stanley shielded his eyes as he erupted in fits of giggles.

Stanley leaned against his stone-wall-standing brother and said, "She's brave, I like that. He didn't at all think his sibling was funny. "To us, a birthmark is contaminated flesh."

He turned to her and said, "She is also quite strong." The man nodded and grinned at Stanley.

"Oh Karl, are you really going to keep her for good? Look how dense are you?" Stanley inquired. Karl then stared at her as she choked on-air, unable to laugh.

"Hmm, Karl so that was his name. So vampires can also feel dense?" she inquired, finally given a name. He cast a glance at her before returning his attention to his brother.

"I'm not dense, sweetie, and I want you to know that you are only mine," Karl said as Angel cast a glance at Stanley, who had drowned while he continued to study her. She wanted to shrivel up and hide to avoid his lethal stare.

"So you are so sure now for keeping her forever? What if Aurora finds out? " Stanley inquired bitterly.

"She won't know about this unless you tell her about her," Karl worriedly said, looking at Angel.

"Don't worry, I won't tell her about your mate; I'm just worried about her bloody human odor bro," Stanley said as he knelt in front of her. A large part of her wished she could smack that smirk off his face.

"Stop staring at me and go to hell," Angel snarled, rolling her eyes at him.

"Been there, not my beloved place to roll back and chill," he remarked.

She shifted her gaze from him to Stanley, who never took his gaze away from her.

"I hope you can keep her safe this time," Stanley said, giving him a serious look.

"I know, Stan. You don't need to remind me, "Karl rolled his eyes but nodded.

"And could you please stop staring at my mate, unless you want me to kill you?" Karl added, glaring at Stanley.

"Ohh, relax brother, I'm not going to bite her. She's all yours. I'm just amazed by her amazing beauty. She exactly looks like her, "Stanley said as Karl chuckled, giving him another death glare.

"I don't like being here; I want to go home right now," Angel said as Karl locked his gaze on her.

"You are not leaving, Sanya; you will be here with me forever," Karl said.

"No! I'm not Sanya; my name is Angel, for God's sake! Please let me go. I want to go home!" she yelled at him.

"Don't try my patience, sweetie, unless you want your family and friends to be dead because of you."

Hearing those words made her tremble in fear because she knew he could kill anyone. As a result, she chooses to remain silent. "You are a monster! How I wish I could burn you forever in hell," she told herself, clenching her jaw and taking a deep breath to calm her nerves as a gut feeling warned her that things were about to get chaotic.
