Ife let out another sigh then starts walking in their direction but they made no sign of moving so she stopped in her tracks and took a step back.

"Please excuse me, I need to her to my room" she said, sounding meek.

"No, shebi you wanted to push me before, push me now... your daddy is gone, you can do whatever you want, in fact sef, carry cane and flog me at least you will be happy ba?" Mary said in a high pitched menacing tone.

Ife could feel the sharpness of her mum's tone slice through her skin and leaving her bare to take in whatever comes out of their taunting mouths.

"Mummy, please I don't want trouble, I... I just need to get some rest before leaving for my outing" she said trying not to cry in front of them.

She thought she could he strong and handle whatever they throw at her but she was wrong, they haven't even started the real damage and she's already feeling like she'll lose it.

Funmi laughed sarcastically as she clapped her hand dramatically, she looks Ife up and down then shook her head.

"You even have the guts to talk to mummy in that manner" she let out another sarcastic laugh "You're not serious, Ife, you're crazy sef, stupid girl"

Ife rose her head so that her eyes which held unshed tears were boring deep into Funmi's mocking ones.

"Funmi, I don't have your time, I wasn't talking to you in the first place and I dont even have energy for all this drama" she raised her voice slightly, still trying to keep it cool.

"You dare raise your voice and open eye for me? I will slap you now" Funmi made threatening steps towards her but Mary restrained ber from doing anything to Ife.

"Your more than that my daughter, she's not worth our anger before she'll go and report to her daddy and he'll come and haunt us" Mary said, eyeing Ife.

When her mum said those words, something ticked in Ife and she could feel anger growing inside of her at their insensitivity to the situation on ground.

Her dad hasn't been dead for long and they are saying disrespectful words towards him.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot that the once lone wolf has returned to being a lone wolf once more" Funmi mocked then stuck her tongue at Ife "Daddy is not here to protect his favorite child, eyah... sorry eh," she mocked again and Ife couldn't take it.

She dropped all that she was holding then went past them, not caring if she pushed them a bit. Ife went up to her room, grabbed her phone, came back downstairs and dashed out the house.

They were getting to her and she didn't want to say something she'll regret that's why she needed to leave that place but where could she go?

Tomiwa!

His name echoed in her head and she flagged down a cab to get to his place on time, she would have walked for a bit but she wanted to see him now and the faster she got to him the better for her sanity.

Her mum and sisters were frustrating her but seeing Tomiwa could make her feel better. He just have to hold her, caress her head kiss her forehead or tell her that she'll be fine no matter what her sisters and mum say about her.

Ife got to his house in no time and paid the cab, she entered the apartment building Tomiwa's flat was situated at then walked up to the top stairs. Letting out a breath of air from the walking up the stairs, she turned to the right and walked up to his door then she knocked and waited for him to answer.

There was no response from the first few knocks and she was going to knock again when the door opened to a smiling Tomiwa who was had a towel around his neck, he had a white vest on and a pair of green shorts.

The smile on his face immediately vanished and was replaced with panic when he saw her standing there looking defeated.

"Ba-babe, wh-wh-what are you doing here?" he asked looking back and looking back at her.

"I'm tired Tomiwa, let's get inside, I'll explain later" she tried to come in but he stopped her and pushed her forward a bit then closed the door behind him. "What happened?"

"You can't come in, now" he said trying to formulate the words in his head without stuttering.

"Why? We haven't seen each other in a while and if I don't want to start with why you decided not to ca-" she was cut off when a woman's voice called out to Tomiwa.

She looked at Tomiwa with a frown and before she could ask anything, a light skinned lady in one of Ife's bathrobe she left at his place came outside with a smile on her face.

Her smile died down when she noticed Ife.

"Who's she?"

"Who's that?" They both asked at the same time.

Ife looked at Tomiwa's troubled face and shook her head as an intense pain began to tug her chest. Pain was an understatement to what she was actually feeling and she just couldn't feel any part of her body again.

"Babe, when you're done with her please com back in, I need you to give me that relaxing massage of yours" she threw a wink at Tomiwa, eyed Ife then went back inside.

No words could be said to make Ife feel any better, she just wanted to be away from everyone and probably scream to her heart content.

"Babe, it's not wha-" she held her hand up for him to stop.

Not being able to get any words out of her lips, she shook her head, blinked the tears that gathered in her eyes and managed to lift her legs so that she can get away from her cheating boyfriend.

She didn't think of where else she wanted to be but she just didn't want to hear his voice anymore.

Sorry updates on this book isn't frequent as before, but I do promise to finish this book, it might take a while but we'll get there.
