Ch. 73RED (ELEVEN)

While waiting for Red, Irani busied herself with her phone. She tried to play some games to kill time.

“Irani… why are you still here? Are you waiting for someone?”

Irani looked up and saw Andrei standing in front of her. Most of the players were already going out of the locker room. But she still hasn't spotted Red.

She smiled at Drei who was already looking fresh in his white shirt and jeans.

“Uh, I'm just waiting for Red. My best friend asked me earlier to hand something to her cousin… that's why I'm here waiting for him," she reasoned.

Drei smiled and nodded at her. "Oh then I'd rather go ahead, Irani," he said.

Irani gave the guy another sweet smile. "Sure, Drei."

A minute after Andrei left the gym, she already spotted Blue and Red.

Blue strutted to the exit while Red walked straight to her. He was wearing a white shirt and dark blue pants. On his broad shoulder hang his black gym bag. His hair was still wet from the shower. Even if he was still meters away, she could already smell his cologne.

He looked too handsome for his own good. Tsk, stop complimenting that monkey, Irani, she said to herself.

“Just where on earth do you plan to eat, Red?" Irani frowned at Red.

They were already thirty minutes on the road yet Red still hasn't told her where he wanted to eat. They already drove past different restaurants and cafes that were all near Montello.

Irani didn't know what Red was thinking about driving that far from the city.

"You were saying something, shortcake?" Red turned to her, one of his eyebrows raised.

"Nothing," she said. When Red looked away from her, she immediately rolled her eyes.

After almost one hour, they finally stopped in front of an establishment.

Unicorn Cafe. That was the name of the cafe in front of them.

The café looked ordinary on the outside. Irani wondered why they had to drive that long just to eat in that Cafe? Or maybe this guy beside her just like to waste gas?

But then Irani's lips parted in awe when they entered the cafe. The café was really inspired by the unicorn theme.
Rainbows and unicorns were everywhere. The whole place was like a mini paradise. It was beautiful and very pleasing to the eyes.

She didn't know that there was a cafe like that one. Even the crews and the customers currently eating there were all wearing unicorn onesies. Even the food served there was all colorful. Every nook and corner of the café was instagrammable.

“Wow…” Irani couldn't help but mutter in awe.

“I know, right?” Red said, turning to her with a satisfied smile on his face.

Irani temporarily forgot that she was annoyed with Red.

“Wow, you look like…a minion,” Red commented, grinning at her while looking at her from head to toe. One of the cafés crew asked them to change into a unicorn onesie just like the other customers there.

“You can easily be mistaken as a grade-schooler," he continued, teasing her more.

Irani glared at him. "And you? You looked like a giant unicorn!" she snapped at him, rolling her eyes.

Instead of getting annoyed, Red just laughed before getting the menu.

Irani's eyes widened when she saw the food Red ordered for them. He almost ordered the entire menu!
"This is too much, Red," she couldn't help but comment.

Red just raised his brows at her. "Well, you're the one going to pay for this, right?" he said, smirking at her.

Irani glared at him. "Tsk. Just make sure you finish everything because I don't like wasting food."

“Don’t worry.” Red just winked at her before he picked up a piece of cupcake.

Irani pursed her lips as she watched Red eat. Now she realized that her best friend Cashmere was right. Red really is a massive fan of food, especially pastries and sweets. According to Cash, Red was a fan of her pastries.

“How did you learn about this cafe?" Irani asked him while looking at the interior of the café.

“On Instagram," Red answered while popping a French fry in his mouth. "I've been wanting to try this."

Oh. Then Irani realized that they were both first time here. She thought that Red had already come here before.
“Well, what do you think? It's worth the trip, right?"

Irani couldn't help but nod and agree with him. The place was really pleasing to the eyes.

She didn't expect that Red would also like going to this kind of place. Well, he likes sweets so it wasn't really surprising.

“So… that Mendoza. You really like him?" Red asked her out of nowhere.

Irani stopped from sipping her milkshake. "Do you think I'd make an effort for his umbrella if I didn't like him?"
He sneered. "Well, you know what? You have a low taste in men."

“Wow!” she said sarcastically. “I think you should tell that to all the girls who like you, Red." She rolled her eyes at him again before she sipped on her drink.

"Aren't your head spinning from too much rolling your eyes?" Red asked her with amusement in his voice.
Before she could say something, a crew went to them.

"Hi, Ma'am, Sir. Do you want to take a picture?" the crew asked them.

Irani noticed she was holding a pink Polaroid camera. Everything in this cafe was really in pastel colors.
“Sure,” Red immediately answered with a smile.

Irani could no longer say no when the crew already raised her camera at them.

She was forced to smile at the camera.

“It's done, Ma'am, Sir. Here.”

The crew said as she handed them the picture that came out of the camera. Irani pursed her lips as she examined the picture. In fairness, she looked cute in the picture.

But then she stilled when her eyes turned to Red. He looked… too handsome there.

What the heck, Cassidy?

Red snatched the picture from her. “I’ll keep it," he said.
