Ch. 67RED (FIVE)

"Damn, Blue's voice was really good," Irani couldn't help but comment while watching the band play.

Blue’s voice was really music to the ears. Irani watched the four members of the band on the stage.

Aside from the four undeniable talents, they were all good-looking. That's why most of their fans were girls.

Grey has an angelic face, Indigo was the chinito one. Blue and Red almost share the same features. They both have the same shape of face, the same deep-set eyes, and the same sharp nose.

Only Blue has this mysterious aura on his face...while Red has this mischievous aura. His eyes were always sparkling in mischief.

Her eyes focused on Red. He was passionately busy playing his guitar. Even if she hated the guy, she couldn't deny how good he is.

He got the talent and the looks. In fact, she even had a crush on Red the first time she saw him. She first saw him five years ago. She and Cash were in first-year high school then. She was at Cashmere's house that time when she met Red.

But then her attraction towards Red instantly vanished in thin air the moment he teased her about her height and called her shortcake.

Until now, she could still remember the first thing he said to Cashmere when they met. That's when she started hating him.

"You’re friends with a grade-schooler, Cash?” Red asked Cashmere, his lips in a crooked smile.

That asshole called her a grade-schooler.

Irani shook her head as she stopped reminiscing about the past. Then she noticed that Red looked in her direction. Their eyes met. He grinned at her and winked. Irani rolled her eyes at him before looking away.

“Red! I love you!”

Two girls in front of them shouted.

Irani couldn't help but snort while looking at them going gaga over the monkey.

"Come on, let's go backstage. I want to see my brother," Cashmere said after the band left the stage. They played three songs before leaving the stage.

Irani turned to her best friend. "Is it really your brother you want to see, Cash? Or is it Grey?" she teased, raising her brows at him.

Cashmere's cheeks turned red. "Fine. I also want to see Grey up close," she admitted.

Irani grinned. Her best friend was head over heels with the band's drummer, Grey. But her feelings for Grey remained a secret to her brother and to Grey himself.

Irani was the only one who knew about it.

Irani pursed her lips as she went along with Cash. Even if she doesn't want to see Red, she wants to support her best friend. She was very supportive of her when it comes to Andrei.

They saw the four members of the band backstage. Blue and Grey were drinking water, while Red was talking to Indigo.

They were talking about something funny. Red had this wide smile on his face.

The four of them all turned to Cashmere and Irani. Irani wanted to roll her eyes when Red's eyes met hers.

Red’s stare stayed on Irani. Then he grinned as he went to her. "Shortcake, you're here! Thank God you didn't get stomped earlier." He was still smirking as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Irani's eyes glanced at Red's arms. His arms were strained and veiny and looked hard…

What the heck, Irani?

"Shut up, Red," she snapped at him.

Red smirked and was about to say something when a girl suddenly went to him.

“Red, babe.”

Irani looked at the girl who clung her arms to the man in front of her. It was the same girl she saw last week at the basketball game.

Her eyes widened a fraction when the girl suddenly kissed Red on the lips.

Irani immediately stepped back and looked away.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw Red pull away from the girl, a frown on his face. Then he glanced at her.

“Tsk… don't do that here, Red," Blue said from a corner. "Cash is here," he said, covering Cashmere's eyes with his large hand.

“Blue!” Cashmere protested, frowning at his brother as she removed his hand from her face. “I’ll be eighteen soon.”

Cashmere pulled away from his brother and held Irani's hand. "Come on, Irani. Let's get out of here. Blue's being difficult again."

Even if they had already left the backstage, Cashmere was still frowning beside her. "Tsk. Damn. I can't believe he treated me like a kid in front of Grey."

Irani snorted. "Yeah. And that asshole Red. How dare he kiss that girl in front of us. He really has no shame, Cash."
Cashmere pursed her lips. "I'm sorry I ruined your mood."

Irani shook her head. "Nah. It was your cousin who ruined it."

Irani sighed as she looked at the dark sky above her.

It was already late but she was still in the university. She lost track of the time and she didn't realize she had spent almost two hours in the library.

She pursed her lip as she continued to look at the pouring rain. She couldn't go home yet since she doesn't have an umbrella.

"Hey, Irani. It's you."

Irani turned to the familiar voice near her. Her eyes widened when she saw Andrei beside her. Was she too preoccupied that she didn't notice him?

"Andrei…” she said, a smile appearing on her lips.

"Are you waiting for someone?" he asked in a curious tone.

Suddenly, her mood shifted. She shook her head, still smiling at him. "Uh, no. I was actually waiting for the rain to stop. I didn't have an umbrella with me."

Andrei nodded in understanding. He then looked at the sky before his eyes went back to her. “Well, I have an umbrella. I'll walk you to the waiting shed."

Her lips parted at his offer. "Are you sure?"

He smiled. "Of course. Come on."

“Uh, okay.”

Andrei opened the umbrella and Irani joined him. Together, they walked towards the gate.
