Ch. 48INDIGO (TWENTY ONE)

“BASED on Indigo's reaction, it was either he's already moved on from you or he still has feelings for you, Chas," Karen told Chastity.

They were having snacks at the coffee shop near their campus.

From the start, Chastity didn't expect that Indigo would greet her with arms wide open. She had hurt him. Big time. But she never anticipated that he would treat her like he didn't know her. And that hurt her the most. She felt like she was stabbed straight through her heart when Indigo completely ignored her.

The look on Indigo's face tells her that she was nothing to him now. Like he doesn't care about her anymore.
Two years have passed. He finally moved on now.

But so what if he's moved on now, I'd make him fall in love with me again.

“I found out who's the girl Indigo's with on the night of Clarisse's birthday," Karen said. “She's Kassandra Imperial. Grey's best friend.”

“The drummer?” Chastity asked.

Her best friend nodded at her. “Chas… what if Kassandra is Indigo's girlfriend? Don't tell me you will break them apart?”

Chastity looked at Karen with determination in her eyes. “Didn't I tell you that I would do everything?”

“Then let's just hope that Kassandra's not his girlfriend, then.” Karen sighed before she sipped on her iced latte.

Chastity frowned when she noticed a small notebook on the floor. She picked up the paper.

"What's that, Chas?" Karen asked her.

Chastity shrugged. "I found this on the floor. Maybe someone left it here."

Chastity opened the notebook. Her brows furrowed more as she read what was written on her first page.
“How to get your ex fall for you again...”

HOW to make your ex fall for you again?

“Step one: Start a connection.”

Chastity read the first step written on the notebook page that she found at the coffee shop the other day.

According to Karen, maybe the owner of the notebook was Chastity's guardian who wanted to help her in getting back Indigo. Chastity knew it was an absurd theory but then she decided to keep the notebook.

“That's right, Chas. You need to start a connection with Indigo,” Karen told her. "That's what you need to do first."

Chastity pursed her lips. “How would I do that? He's avoiding me… he even pretended that we didn't know each other, remember?"

“Get his number,” Karen suggested. "Then text him."

“How?” Chastity raised brows. "I'm sure he won't give me his number, Karen."

“Hmm, I wonder how we could get Indigo's number?” Karen said as she softly tapped their table. It was her friend's mannerisms every time she's trying to think deeply.

Karen looked around the Cafe. Her eyes widened when her gaze went to the entrance of the Cafe.

“Oh my gosh! I already have an idea, Chas," Karen blurted out. "You see that girl?” Karen pointed at the girl who just entered the coffee shop. Their gaze followed the girl as she went to the counter.

“That's Cashmere. Blue dela Merced's sister.” Karen whispered to her. “She's close to her brother's friends. I'm sure that girl has Indigo's number, Chas.”

“How could I get Indigo's number from her?” Chastity asked, clueless.

Indigo was quite famous on campus. She doubted if Blue's sister would easily give her Indigo's number.

“Don't worry, Chas. I have a plan...” Karen said, smiling at her.

“Do you think it will work?” Chastity asked Karen after her friend told her about her plan.

“Well, you have to act well for our plan to succeed, Chas," Karen said to her. "It's all up to you now, Chas."

Chastity took a deep breath before she stood up from her seat. She started walking towards Cashmere who was sitting alone on a table near the entrance of the shop.

Chastity cleared her throat. “Uhm, excuse me, Miss."

“Yes?” The girl turned to her. She was very pretty. She also looked kind.

Oh, Indigo. The things I'd do to get you back. Chastity said to herself.

Chastity smiled at the girl. “Uh, I'm sorry for disturbing you. It's just that… I ran out of mobile load and I have to text someone." She pointed at her friend Karen who was at their table watching them. "I'm actually with my friend there… but her phone's already dead." She said to Cashmere. "I wonder if I can borrow your phone to text someone?"

Chastity saw the hesitation on Cashmere's face.

Chastity bit her lower lip. “Please, Miss. I just really need to text my mother right now." She gave her another sweet smile.

Cashmere then gave her a small smile. “Uh, okay." Cashmere opened her phone and handed it to her.

“Thank you, thank you,” Chastity muttered, accepting the phone from Cashmere.

The moment she touched Cashmere's phone, she immediately went to its contacts and searched for Indigo's name.

She copied Indigo's number and sent it to Karen. She was about to hand back the phone to Cashmere when it suddenly rang.
Chastity's eyes widened when she saw Indigo's name on the screen.

“Uh, someone's calling you...” she said, giving back the phone to Cashmere.

Cashmere answered the call. “Hello, Indigo?”

Chastity's heart pounded in her chest when she heard Indigo's name. Instead of going back to her own table, she remained standing in front of Cashmere.

Indigo was talking on the other line. Damn. She wanted to hear his voice. She missed him.

“Yes, I'm here at the Cafe,” Cashmere said after she listened to whatever Indigo just said on the other line. “Alright, Indigo. Please tell my brother I'll be there. Bye.” Cashmere continued before dropping the call.

“Uh, thank you so much,” Chastity said when Cashmere turned to her.

She smiled at her. “No problem.” Cashmere stood up from her seat. “Sorry, I have to go.”

Chastity thanked the girl one more time before she walked back to her best friend.

“What? Did you get it?” Karen asked.

Chastity nodded and smiled. "Success."
