Ch. 7CHAPTER 6

We were done with the day's work and it just remains one more subject before the school bell rings to end the day.

I had no subject for this last period except for Bamrik so I decided to go to the gym to relax there and wait for the bell.

On my way there I heard a feminine voice purring like she was trying to sweet-talk someone so I turned to see it was the very blonde Jenny and this time she was trying to sweet-talk some guy with a big black-rimmed pair of glasses.

He didn't look like one of the popular guys in school so I am assuming she just wants him to do something for her.

I looked away and continued my way into the gym but I stopped in my tracks when I stumbled upon a sight I wished I never wanted to see.

I didn't look for a complete second and turned around quickly then made my way out of the gym then decided to go to the stadium instead and finish reading the novel my dad got me last week.

He said since I loved reading he saw it when he went to get some books he would need for his work so he decided to buy it for me and I was so happy he got it for me, it is so interesting.

I would check the time and read, to know when the bell will be rung. I got lost in reading that I forgot to even check the time, not until I saw a shadow hovering over me so I had to look up and saw that it was Jenny.

Great... she came to me when I was alone. Where the hell is Bam? And why isn't the school bell ringing? I asked as I looked around to check if there was anyone here she came for instead.

When I didn't see anyone around, I shrugged and went back to reading my book but it was in a split second when my book was grabbed and flung to the field where some players were practicing for the next soccer match.

I stood up with my mouth hung open with my eyes focused on where she threw it to before looking back to her with my mouth still open.

"Why? Why did you do that?" I asked when I was able to find my voice before pushing her so I could go get my book.

She grabbed me by the elbow and turned me to look at her with a stupid smirk I will so love to wipe out of her face.

"Not so fast confused nerd," she said.

'Confused? Nerd?' okay this girl has gone really far with her name-calling and I need to end it now.

"How dare y-"

"Look, I don't have the time for whatever tantrums you are going to be pulling out, I just want to let you know that you aren't as important as Filet may have made you or that boy 'Bam' you called your friend," she said then flashed me two tickets and two backstage passes to the Shawn Mendes concert and I frowned at that.

I thought Filet had nothing to do with her? Or did he fall for her traps and got her the ticket with all her flirting?

Then it clicked, I think I know how she got this.

"Look here bimbo" I began and that smirk went off her face in a matter of seconds which boosted me to continue whatever I needed to let off my chest that involved her.

"First, you are a rude, spoilt, dumb, blonde, stupid bimbo and you threw my book away then have the guts to tell me I am throwing tantrums?" I asked and I could see how her face changed so fast and turned pink.

Red is next.

"Then you went ahead to call one of the very most important people in my life a boy? You are stupid for that and I would have honestly slapped you for that but I hate abusing animals" I said and was totally right when I said red was the next color.

"Third you bullied that timid boy into handing you the ticket Generous gave him and his sister for her birthday and what made it worse was that she had the wish to see him before her cancer took her life away. Do you have any heart?" I asked with so much anger.

"Here I was thinking Filet might have fallen for your death trap and given them to you instead but you went that low, for what reason? Do you think Shawn Mendes would want to meet someone with your kind of attitude? Think girl, think" I told her then carried my bag so I can go get my book.

When I turned away from her I saw that the whole school soccer team that was practicing had gathered up at where she threw my book and they were looking at us. I guess I wasn't too quiet with the confrontation but I didn't care, if she thought hurting people was good she deserves this then.

I turned to her and saw that her face had reddened with embarrassment. Then I grabbed the tickets and backstage passes. She tried to grab it back but I gave her my best glare and she matched mine.

This girl has no shame.

"I will go give this to its rightful owner and that should at least make you a better person by one percent. One little piece of advice bimbo, no one wants to be friends with an inconsiderate, selfish public property. You'd go far if you keep that in mind" I was about to walk away from her when I stopped with my finger up.

"One more thing, everyone is important and if that is the only thing that could stick in your slippery brains then so be it" I said and heard a few 'Ooo' and chuckles but I ignored them and walked really fast and away from that scene I managed to create.

I would agree that all I said were quite harsh but I needed to get them off and put her in her place for once. She should know she can't be messing with everyone as she pleases, it's not nice and if being rude and insulting will put her in her place then so be it.

I actually felt kinda embarrassed myself for saying all those. Now it happens that the soccer team locker room is a locker away from mine and I don't know how I would face those guys as they pass by my locker.

This is going to go round the school before the bell rings and why wouldn't it spread that fast? One of the school's major gossip who goes by the name Destiny Firenet is on the soccer team too and would spread it to the student's blog portal.

I wouldn't actually be surprised to see students look at me then at their phone when school closes and tomorrow... argh! It would be worse.

I don't like attention and this would cause me to be the main attention of the whole school.

I better find Gifthand and hand him these tickets and backstage passes before I chicken out and decided not to come to school tomorrow.

Just as I turned a corner that goes to the way of the middle school buildings, I saw the figure of someone immediately hiding in a hallway and I quicken my steps to see who that was and saw Gifthand there pushing himself against the wall.

I offered him a smile but he just looked at me a bit scared and looked behind me.

"If you were a chameleon you would have blended in successfully but be chill, I don't bite. Here" I held to put the tickets and passes to him.

He looked at them with a frown that suddenly turned to a surprised look as he looked back at me.

"Take them, you and your sister can now go to the concert" I broadened my smile and he too mirrored my smile.

He collected them and held them to his heart.

"She will forever be grateful," he said and ran in further in the hallway.

I smiled at that and was rest assured that this was sorted. Now I have to know how to take all the attention that might come with the stunt I pulled minutes ago.

Then it occurred to me...

"My book," I said out loud and smacked my forehead with my palm.

How on earth would I have forgotten my precious book.

"You mean this one?"

I jumped with a small terrified cry escaping my lips when I heard a voice say from behind me.

I turned around to see who that was and saw one of the soccer team players who was leaning against the wall with my book in his hand.

He still had his jersey on and a face towel around his neck, his hair was mushed by sweat and I could smell cologne with a mix of his sweat. It filled my head and made me a bit lightheaded.

I stepped back by a step and blinked severally to clear my head and concentrate on what is going on.

"Uh..." I coughed a bit and took my book from his hold then smiled "Uh... thanks, I was going to grab it" I said to him and he stood up straight still looking at me with his smile on his face.

He nods then looked away from me for a split second and I used that as an opportunity to breathe before he looked back at me.

"It was nice that you stood up for that kid, you are amazing Mona," he said, and just like that it died down.

Like seriously? Mona? Was that what he knew me as? Monalisa? My least favorite name? Then name my mum likes to call me? What the heck?

"I will see you around button nose," he said and walked away.

I watched him walk back to the high school building and held up my book with the aim to throw it at him but that was futile when he turned to look at me for a while so I had to pretend like I was waving at him and he winked at me before turning a corner.

"Really?" I said out loud.
