Ch. 1Chapter One

The alarm buzzed disturbing Advaita from her slumber. She tried to slap the snoozing button of the alarm clock but realised that the alarm was set on her mobile. She woke up and stretched her hands throwing away the blanket. She took her mobile and tried to switch off the alarm. She was unable to do that and tried to switch off the mobile. But it's not that easy to turn off this alarm as this alarm was designed for those sleeping heads who are busy sleeping in the morning while other successful people are busy in succeeding. She remembered installing a new alarm app the last night to throw her laziness away and join the club of early risers. She solved the mathematical task, memory task, matching colours task, etc. to switch off the alarm. Finally, her sleep went off, and she got out of the bed.

She looked at the glass of the window from where the rays of the Sun were entering the room. She opened the door of the window and embraced the warmth of the Sun.

"Good morning, Advaita!" she greeted herself as she knows the fact that she has no one in her life. She took a shower and wore a simple white salwar kameez. She prefers white colour for important occasions. She locked the door of her room and reached the bus stop.

She waited for one hour at the bus stop, but there is no sign of the arrival of any bus.

Today is my first day in the office. I am getting late, but the bus didn't come yet. How can I reach the office on time? I think I have no choice except to request someone for a lift, she said to herself.

She saw a red car coming in that way. She showed her hand to stop the car for a lift. The car came near to her and stopped. The window of the car was rolled down. A person wearing a cream colour suit with black goggles and curly hair looked at her. He is damn handsome with his smile. His looks passed through her eyes, nose, and lips making her uncomfortable.

"Where do you want me to drop you?" He asked.

"No thanks, you can leave," Advaita replied.

"He is a young man, and his looks didn't stay at one place. I can't trust him. It is better to let him go," her mind advised.

"Excuse me! Why did you stop my car? It is okay. Get in and tell me your destination," he said opening the door of the car.

"It is my first day to the office. I am getting late. I want to go to Snehith Exports and Imports industry," Advaita said.

"Snehith Industries? Okay, get in. I will drop you there," he said with a smile.

Advaita sat in the car on the seat next to him. He started the car and played the music. He drove the car enjoying the music by humming the tune.

"By the way, what is your name?" He asked.

"It is none of your business," Advaita replied.

"Is it my business to drop you at your office?" He countered.

"Look, I just asked for help, and you stopped the car. If it's not you someone would have helped me. Anyways, I hate unnecessary conversation with a stranger. Please, stop it," Advaita said showing her irritation.

He stopped the car. There was no one on the road as its outskirts. Advaita was scared of this stranger. She was panic and looked at him predicting the worst to come up.

"Why did you stop the car?" She asked wiping sweat from her forehead with a handkerchief.

"I stopped the car as you told me to stop," he said giving her a shock.

"No! I asked to stop your conversation,"

He smiled and started the car. He dropped her at the Snehith industries. She got down and turned to him.

"Thank you!" She said.

"You are welcome at any time. By the way, you look fantastic in this white dress," he said fuming her.

He winked his eye and drove off leaving her in shock. She scolded and cursed him in her mind.

She went into the office. She waited in the reception, and after some time, MD called her to his cabin. She knocked on the door.

"Yes, come in!" MD said.

Advaita went inside, and MD turned another side. His face is invisible to her.

"Good morning, sir! I am Advaita, new appointment. This is my posting order," Advaita said.

MD turned towards her, and she was shocked at recognizing him as the person who dropped her in the office.

"Nice name, Ms. Advaita," he said.

He took the posting order and then gave it back to her.

"Are you Mr. Snehith?" Advaita asked.

"I think it is none of your business," he said seriously.

"I am sorry, sir," she said understanding his seriousness.

What should I do? I was stuck now. I need this job, but I don't think, it is safe for me to work here. My fate is always like this. Whenever I am happy, something happens to take away my happiness.

She thought herself cursing her stupid fate.

"For what?" Snehith asked.

"For not minding my business, sir!" She said.

"Good. Now you can go to your cabin."

Snehith called the office boy and asked him to show her the cabin.

"Ms Advaita, Just a minute. Take this mobile," he said.

She looked at him with confusion. He understood her confused look seeing her face and expressions.

"Advaita, you are my secretary. You have to design my schedule, appointments, and meetings. If I have any work, I will call you. You can call me if you have any doubt about designing my schedule or meetings. So, as per company norms, we provide a laptop and a mobile to the Personal Secretary. We provide mobile immediately and laptop after a month, reviewing your work," Snehith said.

"Okay, sir!" She said taking the mobile.

I am sure he is angry with me. He is going to take revenge with me for being rude in the drive. But I didn't do anything wrong. I hope it would not become a big issue. This job is essential to me. God, please help me, Advaita thought.

You are beautiful and smart. I love you. I was searching for you for a long time. Finally, I found you. From today, you are mine, Advaita. My love is for you, Snehith said to himself.

After one hour Snehith called Advaita to his cabin.

"Take your seat," Snehith said.

Advaita sat on the chair in front of him. He was busy with his work and didn't assign any work to her. Ten minutes went off, and she tried to ask him the reason for calling her. But as she finds him busy, she didn't disturb him.

Advaita was fed up with waiting and being idle after an hour.

"Sir, may I know why did you call me?" Advaita said.

"You are my Personal Secretary. You have to do whatever I say. No need to question me. Got it?" Snehith said rudely, being busy with his work.

"He is stupid and proudish. I think he is proud of the wealth, he had. I don't know how long I can work with this kind of person."

"I can hear you," Snehith said.

Advaita was shocked. Did I say it out? Advaita, what have you done? She said to herself, and looked at him.

"I am not tupid. Yes, I am proud of me, but not because of my wealth but because that's me who earned this money. I am proud of me and my skills," he said showing his pride in his words.

"I am sorry, sir," she said.

"Don't worry. I called you to give a few printouts to you. That's what I was checking on my laptop. Patience is necessary for any person to succeed in life. Don't be in a hurry all the time. Now take those prints outs from the printer and prepare the quotation for the products I mentioned, in those papers as we are going to apply for a new tender. Complete the work by evening. Now, you can leave," Snehith said.

"Okay, sir!"

Advaita said and went to her cabin. She completed her work and went to a cafe to have a coffee. Snehith reached there and sat on the chair in front of her.

"Hello, my name is Snehith," he said smiling at her and changing his serious attitude which he maintained at his office.

"Sir!" Advaita said.

"Call me Snehith, not Sir because we are not in our office," Snehith said.

"Why are you following me?" She asked wondering and with frustration.

"Advaita, I don't know to act. Let me be frank. I love you. I don't know anything about you. Truly I am in love with your beauty for now. If you like me, we can slowly know about each other, and if we love each other, then we can get married. I am not forcing you. I have expressed my feelings towards you, that's it," Snehith said.

Advaita was scared of his words. Few scenes and voices replayed in her mind. She remembered her past which she was trying hard to forget. She felt as if her head was spinning. Her heartbeat increased, and she struggled to breathe. She fainted, and Snehith held her in his arms. He didn't understand the reason behind her tension and fear. He rushed to a hospital with her. The doctor checked on her.

"Is she under any psychiatric treatment?" the doctor asked Snehith.

"I don't know, doctor," Snehith replied seeing Advaita unconscious on the hospital bed.

"How are you related to her?" the doctor asked him.

"She is my employee. Doctor, Is anything wrong with her?"

"She is under severe mental stress. I found a suicidal tendency in her. If she is under psychiatric treatment, it's okay. If not, please consult a psychiatrist immediately. Otherwise, she may commit suicide at any time," the doctor said.

He was shocked listening to the doctor's statement. He didn't understand anything. He was happy till now for finding her after a long time. But, everything changed now after knowing her psychological condition.

"Okay, doctor, thank you," he said.

Snehith sat beside Advaita waiting for her to come into consciousness. She opened her eyes and looked around.

"Where am I?" She asked Snehith.

"In space. This is the planet, Mars. NASA was successful in sending a person from the Earth to the Mars. Congratulations, you are the first person to enter into the Mars," he said sarcastically.

"What?"

"Can't you understand where you are after examining the surroundings and finding patients and doctors around?"

"Am I in the hospital? But why and who admitted me here?" Advaita asked.

"You fainted in the cafe, and I admitted you in the hospital. How are you feeling now?"

"I am okay. Thank you and sorry for the trouble," Advaita said.

"It is okay. By the way, are you under any psychiatric treatment?" Snehith asked remembering the words of the doctor.

"Sorry, I didn't get you," she said.

"The doctor who treated you told to ask this," Snehith said.

"Yes, I am under psychiatric treatment," she said.

"Okay, come I will drop you at your home,"

"No need, I can go," she said seriously assuming it as his trick to know her address.

"Don't be foolish, Advaita. You are unwell. How can you go alone? Let me drop you," Snehith said.

She agreed finally. Snehith and Advaita started in his car. They reached an orphanage.

"Is this your home?" He asked.

"Yes, I stay here."

"Don't you have anyone? Are you an orphan?"

Advaita got out of the car.

"Look, Mr. Snehith, you are my boss in the office, and I respect your orders there. The only relationship between us is the employee and employer relationship. Nothing more than that. You told me that you love me. But, I don't love you, and I can't love anyone. I hate the word love. So don't waste your time on me. Thank you for your help today. I hope you will find a girl of your type soon," Advaita said.

She was leaving, but Snehith held her hand. She is close to him. She felt his breath and got scared of his sudden action of pulling her closer to him.

"Till now I love your beauty. Now I love your courage too Ms. Advaita. Just wait to fall in love with me. Till then I will be waiting for you," Snehith said smirking.

He gave her a flying kiss. He held her wrist and helped her to cross the road.

"If you faint again while crossing the road, it will be a problem for me. So, I helped you have to cross the road safely. See you tomorrow. Bye, I love you!" He said.

Advaita freed her hand from his grip and gave a serious look to him. Snehith smiled and went off in his car thinking about the doctor's words. He remembered her murmuring the name Jashwesh when she was unconscious.

I know that you had a past love. Maybe that's why you hated to love and scared hearing the word love. It's okay. I am not bothered about your past. If you are depressed because of your love failure, I will heal your pain, and my love becomes the medicine for your depression. The thing which you don't know is I already know you. However, you didn't know me. I know you well, and surely I will bring back past Advaita in you. But for that I have to know what exactly happened in your life which changed you this much, in my absence, Snehith thought and decided to win her love at any cost.
