Ch. 21Chapter 21

My lower body felt numb and my head hurts. But I’m sure this guy suffered more injuries than me. His arms were also bleeding.
“This is nothing.”
“That isn’t nothing! Let’s get you treated first.”
Alexandros looked around and took a sharp breath upon seeing the wounded passengers. “I’m sorry, Alison, but I think I’ll need to make you sleep again. I have a lot to do. Sleep well for now, sweetheart.”
Before I could say another word, he snapped his finger. That was the last thing I remembered before I suddenly fainted.

(Alexandros)
“DON’T look at me like that, Theron. I just had no choice. I only brought Alison here to make sure that her body would recover quickly. I owed her that for saving my life once. I just couldn’t heal her wounds earlier. I’m still feeling a bit unwell. But rest assured, it will be her first and last time in this place,” I said before my assistant could bombard me with his questions.
Theron was my assistant back in Arameth when we were both still residing in the Imperial Castle. And for a moment, I felt a little guilty upon seeing how hope vanished instantly in his eyes.
I know that the old man was only thinking about my welfare. That was the only reason why he followed me in this world eight years ago even if he was innocent, even if he was not on the list of the criminals who were punished. I owe Theron a lot. If he did not appear in Rotterdam to take my body away after I passed out when Alison took me to the hospital, then the humans would have found out the truth about me.
“I thought you finally decided to date again, young master,” Theron said in a low voice.
My jaw clenched. “That will never happen. I will never make that same mistake again.”
“Love will never be a mistake, young master.”
“I don’t want to talk about this anymore, Theron.”
I didn’t like seeing Theron disappointed, but I had to quickly eliminate all the crazy thoughts he had about Alison and me. He was like a second father to me. And I don’t want him to hope for something that would never happen.
I brought Alison home after the accident. My house was equipped with crystal balls that could only be found straight from the Imperial Castle. Those crystals were created by my ancestors.
Right now, my house was like a hospital for the supernatural. Some of my wounds were so severe that even with the crystal balls’ help, they still take longer time to heal. But those crystals would work easily on human bodies.
My parents gave those crystals to Theron so he could bring them to me because when the Armethians threw me away, they did not allow me to bring anything with me. My parents only helped Theron to escape just so I could have someone to be with in the human world that’s why I know that they were also punished for what they did. I just hope that wherever my parents are, they are safe. Without the crystal balls that they gave me, I would have died a long time ago because of the never-ending attempts of the Armethians to get rid of me.
Aside from that, the crystals also serve as our charger because we easily get weak in this world because of the different atmosphere here. Royal-blooded Armethians like me could leave Arameth anytime I want to. But that has limits. Just like the other supernatural, we can’t stay in a different world for a longer period of time otherwise our immune systems would get so weak to the point of us dying. Those crystals were also a big help in protecting my house. Because of them, no supernatural could break in.
Nobody died from the accident a while ago, I made sure of that through my magic. But because I was still a little weak, I was not able to properly use the fortification spell. That’s why there were humans who still ended up wounded because of the impact of another bus who bumped into ours. Fortunately, there were no passengers in the other bus. Most of the humans who were taken to the hospital were all conscious.
Alison was the only problem.
Her body was cold and quivering earlier. Her heartbeat was also suddenly weak. She had bruises earlier but they all disappeared now. Hospital was not for people like her. She was not safe there. There were so many spirits in the hospital, they were searching for vessels or bodies that they could possess to achieve their wicked plans. And if Alison was wounded, they could use that as an opening to strike her and steal her body.

ONCE the supernaturals come for Alison, I would not be able to give her the kind of protection she needed. Even if many of the supernaturals were afraid of me, the second they discovered the state which my body was in, they would not hesitate to launch an attack. When that happens, I would not be able to give them the kind of battle they wanted. Because it had only been ten days since the Armethians attacked me in the hotel which Alison’s family owned.
I haven’t rested properly yet. But now, thankfully, Alison’s body temperature was back to normal. She was not pale anymore. She just haven’t waken up yet.
I was sure that the incident was not any mortal’s doing. There were supernaturals behind the accident. I was not able to see the bus driver who bumped into ours. Right now, the cops were still trying to find him. I did not get to join the hunt anymore because I was busy attending to the passengers’ needs that I had no time to look for the culprit.
I have sinned against so many people in the past. And all those people were hunting me now. They would attack me anytime, anywhere. They were willing to go that far and forget all about their morals to avenge and would not hesitate to do it even if there were innocent humans around.
