"She left without coming here," Octavia asked

"Of course, why will I lie to you" the doctor frowned," she left after the operation is completed" she added

"Of course not, we are not accusing you, I'm just surprised, we are sorry" Mrs. Mia apologized to the doctor

"Alright, then I will be going to my office, My regards to Mr. Duncan Gonzalez" the doctor bowed and left

"What nerve, running off to meet her boyfriend to get pregnant again after aborting this one and get a rich man to pin it on again like my son" Mrs. Mia scoffed

"She didn't even come back for the money" Octavia chuckled

"Yes, who knows what she meant," Mrs. Mia hissed

"And I will commend her because this is the first time she acted mature and not shameless" Mrs. Mia added

"She is always shameless mother by been a sl*t because how can the wife of a whole Gonzalez be a b*tch, she won't want to come back and be mocked again," Octavia said with a smile

"Yes, but Duncan," Mrs. Mia sighed

"What about Duncan," Octavia asked confused

"What are we going to tell Duncan about her leaving without the money," Mrs. Mia asked frowned

"Duncan isn't going to take it likely because he emphasized that we should make sure she leaves with the money" Mrs. Mia added

"I have an idea" Octavia smirked

"What," Mrs. Mia asked

"We will tell Duncan the right thing" Octavia shrugged

"The Right thing, how," Mrs. Mia said confused at Octavia's choice of words

"We will just tell Duncan that she collected the money and left after the abortion" Octavia suggested

"Hmmm, what if he finds out," Mrs. Mia asked afraid of the outcome if Asher knows

"Duncan can't know except you rat out yourself" Octavia shrugged

"Alright, that is true, thanks to you, Octavia" Mrs. Mia smiled

"It is nothing, I can do anything for Duncan because I love him," Octavia giggled

"Don't worry, you have him already and will soon be the new Mrs. Gonzalez after that b*tch," Mrs. Mia smiled

"Let's go, mother," Octavia told her and they walked out

Miss Toni Morrison stood at the window as she watch how Mrs. Mia Gonzalez and Octavia Roger walked out of the hospital and entered their car and drove out...

"Finally, they are out" she sighed and walked back to her chair and have a seat opposite Hazel...

She convinced Hazel not to abort the baby and promise to help her escape the hospital and Duncan, his mother, and Octavia.

After she told Mrs. Mia and Octavia she as aborted the baby, she came back to the operation room to meet Hazel.

"It is alright, Hazel" she patted Hazel on her shoulder.

"Everything happens for a reason, don't think about it because of the baby" Toni persuaded her

"Thank you, I don't know how to say thank you, Toni" Hazel smiled lightly

"It is ok, you don't need to, I just felt like helping because I have witnessed something like this before to someone close," Toni told her

"Ohhh," Hazel mouthed

"Hmmm... So don't worry, I will take you to my house and stay there for the meantime so that everything can calm down, then we will know what to do" the doctor explained

"Your house," Hazel said shocked

"Yes, or do you have any place to live" The doctor quirked a brow

"No " Hazel shook In disapproval

"So it is finally my house, I just have only one or two patients to attend to, then I will be done" Toni stood up

"After I'm done with my work, we will leave the hospital, don't worry you can stay here till we leave, I will tell them not to use this place," she told her walking to the door

"Also, I will send someone to get food for you, so don't panic when someone comes in" Toni stood up

"Don't bother" Hazel smiled gracefully

"Hey, don't think it is for you, it is for the baby, I don't care if you eat it or not" Toni shrugged

"Like you don't care" Hazel chuckled

"See you" Toni waved at her and walked out of the room

"Thank God for her, I would have aborted you," Hazel said aloud touching her tummy and sighing as she lay down...

In the meeting room

"Sir, I think that will be able to bring them down and hand over the rights of the lands," one of the workers said

"Yes, they would because they won't want to be jailed" Duncan nodded

"I think that is all," Duncan asked and faced Wendy

"Yes, sir" Wendy bowed

"Alright, then that is all for today's meeting," Duncan said and stood up walking out of the meeting room with Wendy to his office.

"Sir, these are the files you asked for" Wendy dropped some files on the table as they got to his office and he nodded

"Wendy, get me my usual coffee" he ordered her as he settled down to view the files.

"Yes sir" she bowed and walked out.

Duncan sighed and brought out his phone and made a call to his mum.

After the second ring, she picked up

"Hello mum"

"Duncan, how are you," I asked

"I'm fine" he muttered

"Mum, so how is Hazel, is the abortion done," he asked without allowing me to reply to him.

"Yes, she did and it was successful without any complications" I assured him.

"Thank goodness, mum" I heard him sigh, "What about her"

"Her, who," I asked confused," is it Octavia"

"No, not Octavia, I mean Hazel"

"Hazel, why are you even asking about that b*tch again," I asked angrily

"Mum...."

"Well anyway, immediately after the abortion, she left with the money you left for her"

"She left,"

"yes" mum answered

"Just like that," he asked and I could feel he is angry.

"Yes," I nodded forgetting he isn't here

"Alright Mum"

"Are you ok, Duncan?" I asked because he is acting weird.

"I'm fine, mum"

"Ok, you didn't even ask for Octavia" I remembered him

"Oh yes, how is she"

"Well, she has gone back home and promised to be back tomorrow"

"Alright Mum, I will just call her later and thank her for following us," he said

"Alright son"

"And mum I will be back late, please don't wait for me, alright"

"Ok, just be careful"

"Alright mum, Bye" he cut the call

"Why he is acting weird all of a sudden"

I shrugged and smiled

"So far, the b*tch and golddigger is gone, I'm fine with it"

Duncan's POV

What.

She left just like that without caring about me.

After aborting the baby brutally.

Won't she think I will feel bad too?

"I doubt she will," my subconscious mind said mockingly

She left with the money just like that.

I feel empty and angry.

Just like that.

"How will she care about you," my subconscious mind told me

"You divorced her, chased her out of your house, aborted her innocent child, and left her all alone knowing she as no one" my subconscious mind explained

But she should have asked, where was I.

"But why will she," I told myself standing up to stare at the busy life of Texas City.

Of course, she should ask for me but it seems she has been waiting for this day to come and flee back to her stupid boyfriend.

Why I'm I even caring about her, she doesn't deserve it.

She knows she means a lot to me despite that she betrayed me.

She is my life and now that she is gone, I would be back to my cold zone.

Hazel is the one who brought out my soft side, smiles, and love people are seeing and brought me out of my cold zone.

I don't know how I will be living without her because she is my life.

My life will be a mess...

Well, she is been cruel because I truly love her.

I HATE her, I HATE you, Hazel.

The insult, the pictures, everything I had done just today.

It was worth it if I behave like that to her.

But it would be better if she never married me. I wish I had made her suffer than just send her away.

It would be nice for her because she can fall in love again and have a lot of kids just like she wanted with the person she has been dating.

While I carry the cross of what I have done everything with me.

Because I'm sure I can't fall in love again because she is the one who holds that key in my heart and no one can have it again.

But I promise to never love anyone again because I can't trust any lady again including Octavia.

Now, I'm sure with the money I have given her, she would be able to start afresh and live a better new life without me just like she has always wanted.
