Ch. 5Four

"What would I do, Jana?" Sandra asked her friend, her face full of worries. It had been hours since she arrived home but she still couldn't move on from what happened earlier.

Damn! That's the most embracing thing that ever happened to her in her entire life.

Jana closed the magazine she was reading and turned to Sandra. "Do you have to ask me that? Then go back to the hospital and get your bag."

She sighed.

Well, that's what's troubling her right now. She had left her bag in the hospital earlier.

She only remembered her things when she was already in the taxi.

"Jana, you know I can't go back there." She made a face.

She already told her friend everything that happened. And her bitch of a best friend found it all funny.

She sighed. “Can you take my bag for me, Jana?” I pouted my lips at her. "Come on, I'll treat you to your favorite ramen if you do that for me?"

“And do you think that will give me your bag?” Jana retorted. "They might have accused me of stealing!"

She sighed once again.

“What am I gonna do, Jana?” This time, her voice got more frustrated.

She couldn't go back to the hospital. After what happened? No way.

Until now, she wanted to cover face in shame as she recalled how he acted in front of that Dr. Dylan Laxamana. Dammit. She even cried her heart out in front of him.

She wondered if that pediatrician secretly laughed at her after what happened. She had made a complete fool out of herself. Damn!

Imagine, she cried and sobbed like a crazy woman in front of that Dylan guy. He must have really thought that she was sick in the head.

Maybe he was secretly laughing at her while she was telling him about her insecurities in life.

It was all her fault. If only she had stopped herself from being too emotional, none of these wouldn't have happened.

She frustratedly ran her fingers through her hair. She didn't know how she could retrieve her bag before stepping in again in that hospital premises!

Her thoughts were interrupted when the doorbell rang.

“I wonder who's our visitor." Jana stood up from the couch and walked to the door.

She pouted her lips. “I bet it's Warren, who else would that be if not for your boyfriend.”

It was only Warren who visits them almost every night. Well… the man was completely whipped with her best friend. They were already together for years, but his love for her seemed to never waver.

Jana looked back at her. “Well, Warren is in an out of town seminar. It can't be him. Oh my gosh, Sandra. Come here!”

Her best friend turned her head to her after looking at the peephole. Her eyes were wide in shock.

A frown formed on her forehead. She stood up from the couch and went to Jana. "What? Why is your fsce like that? Who's behind the door?"

She looked at the peephole. Her lips parted in shock when she finally saw who was outside of their unit. It was him! Doctor Dylan Laxamana!

“What's he doing here, Jana?” She asked Jana, her voice panicking. What's that doctor doing outside their unit?!

“Do you know this hunk, Sandra?” Jana's eyes widened.

“That's him, Jana! The doctor in the hospital who I thought is… ”

“The one you thought is the psychiatrist, but turns out to be a pediatrician?" Jana finished it for her.

She sighed and nodded weakly. “Yeah. That's him.”

“Oh my gosh. You didn't include in your story that he's that gorgeous." Jana grinned and nudged her shoulder. “Come on, what are you waiting for? Open the door!”

She shook her head vehemently. “No. I can't show myself to him, Jana! And what was he doing here anyway? What does he need from me?”

"You need to open the door, Sandra," Jana said, grinning at her. "It looks like he's going to give you back your bag."

I looked at the peephole once again. And there. I saw it. In his hand was my black shoulder bag.

He was wearing a black polo shirt and denim pants. I watched him as he ran his fingers through his jet black hair. Damn. Jana was right. This doctor was really gorgeous.

"W-wait. How did he know where I live?" I turned to Jana. I was stuttering in panic. "Come on, Jana. I can't face him."

"Fine," Jana said. "I'll be the one getting your bag from him." She grinned at her.

"Are you sure?"

She nodded. "Yeah. I wanted to meet him anyway. I wonder if his voice sounded as good as his looks." She grinned mischievously. "Go back to the living room if you don't him to see you. I'll told him you're out."

"Alright."

She turned back and walked back to the living room.

She let out a deep breath and sat back on the couch. Good thing Jana volunteered to get her bag back. If she had been alone in this unit, she wouldn't dare open the door to face that doctor! No way! After all the things she had said to him, she had no face to see him again!

 "What? Did he already leave?”

She asked Jana when I finally saw her emerging in the hallway. It took her a full minute, huh.

Her eyes drifted back to her friend's empty hands. I frowned.

"My bag? Where is it, Jana?"

Jana twisted her lips. "Well... uh, he didn't give it back to me..."

My lips parted. "What? Why didn't he... Where is he?"

"Sandra..."

She felt like her body froze when she heard that familiar deep manly voice. oh shit

Behind Jana was the man she didn't want to see ever again. Doctor Dylan Laxamana.

"Hi." Doc Dylan greeted her with a smile. His eyes met hers. Right at that moment, she knew she couldn't escape from him.
