Ch. 3Two

Dylan cursed silently.
Krista was his ex-girlfriend. They had only been in a relationship for two months. He decided to break up with her when she started to get clingy.
It had been almost a month since he broke up with her, but the woman still could not accept that they had already broken up.
Last week, after getting off from work, he always saw him lurking in the lobby of his condo unit, waiting for him. She was desperately asking him to get back with her. He was forced to ask the security of the building to put her on the blocked list. He thought she would finally stop after that.
He didn't expect that she would go to the hospital. The other day, while he was doing his rounds, Krista suddenly appeared and kissed her in front of his patients.
Since this was a hospital, he couldn't ask the security to block her from entering the premise. Right now, he was trying his best to avoid the woman until he could think of a way to get rid of her.
“Mae, tell Krista I already went to hell,” he told her assistant.
“Are you sure, Doc?”
He nodded his head before tapping her in the shoulders. "Get rid of her for me, please."
He wanted to talk to Krista and asked her to stop this craziness. But not now. Not here in his workplace. He didn't trust the woman. Who knows what embarrassing things she’d decide to do here?
He hurriedly left his office and rode the lift. He decided to go to Leonard's clinic on the fifth floor.
“What the… Dylan. Why do you look like you’ve been chased by a ghost?”
He found him sitting on the single-seater sofa in his session room. If Dylan has a playroom in his clinic, Leonard has a small reception room that serves as his session room for his patiners. His friend is a psychiatrist.
He took the vacant sofa in front of him. He shook his head. “Krista’s here!”
“That woman’s really obsessed with you ,huh.” Leonard said with a chuckle.
He sighed as he took off his white coat. He was wearing a dark long-sleeved polo underneath it. “If I had known that Krita was that kind of woman. I wouldn't have associated myself with her.”
"That's what you get for not listening to me. I told you I could tell that woman was bad news. Now look at what happened,” Leonard grinned at her. “But you know, you can bring her here. Since we're friends, I won't charge you for her consultation fee. The lady might have had a psychological problem.”
He shook his head. “How could I bring her here when I'm avoiding her?” He couldn't help but cringe as he remembered all the embarrassing things she had done.
“I hope I'd seen your reaction when she kissed you in front of your patients,” he chuckled. “I'm sure your patients got traumatized.”
Dylan slanted his eyes. “Shut up, Leonard. Do you think it's funny?”
“Doc.”
They were interrupted by Leonard’s secretary, who knocked and entered the office. “Can I have my lunch break now?”
“Wait, Jhea. I still have one patient, right?” Leonard looked at the patient's sheet on the coffee table. “A certain Miss Sandra Tolentino?”
“Doc, it looks like she's not coming. Her schedule’s eleven, it's already twelve,” Jhea answered. “I called her earlier, but her phone was unattended.”
“Oh?” Leonard glanced at his watch. “I didn't realize it was already twelve noon. I'm sorry. Sure. You can leave now, Jhea.”
Lenard turned to him. “Stand up and move your ass, Dylan. I'm already starving,” he grinned at him.
“How could I go out? I'm hiding here in your office, remember?" he answered sarcastically.
“O, poor boy,” Lenard teased. “That's what you get for playing with women's hearts."
“Shut up, Leonard!” he hissed. "I'm not a player."
He chuckled as he stood up from the couch. “Fine. Stay here, Dylan. Don't worry. I'll take out your favorite pork steak for you.” He even playfully winked at him before leaving him alone in his office.
He shook his head as he rested his head on the sofa.

SANDRA glanced at her wristwatch the moment she entered the lobby of St. Luke's Medical Center.
She let out a sigh when she realized she was already running late for her appointment with Dr. Ocampo. She was one hour late because of the heavy traffic jam.
The said doctor was one of the psychiatrists in this hospital. She booked an appointment with him last week.
The first time Jana suggested this idea, she ignored her. She thought it was absurd. But after days of contemplating, she realized that maybe Jana was right.
These past few days, she's been getting more depressed. Every time she saw a couple in front of her, her eyes would be automatically filled with tears.
She couldn't help but feel bitter. The other day, she burst out crying when one of her office mates announced that she was getting married.
"Hey, Sandra. Are you okay?" Carla asked her with a concerned face.
She managed to smile at her. "Yeah. I'm just really happy for you."
"Oh. Thank you."
Damn. She felt stupid for crying over those things.
She knew herself. She wasn't like that before. She admitted she was a bit dramatic, but she was never a bitter person. She had never been an envious person before.
She needed to do something about it. That's when she finally decided to see a shrink.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Jana asked her when she told her she would finally follow his advice.
"No. I can do it, Jana." She gave her friend a smile.
Sandra went to the elevator and pressed the fifth floor, where Dr. Leonard Ocampo's office is located, according to the receptionist.
One of Jana's colleagues recommended Dr. Ocampo. She hadn't met the doctor yet since she'd scheduled her appointment through his secretary. To be honest, she preferred a female psychiatrist, but Andrea told her that Dr. Ocampo was very professional, not only the best in his field.
She took out her cellphone. She bit her lower lip when she saw three missed calls from Dr. Leonard's secretary. Damn. She'd put her phone on silent last night.
She was on the second floor when an elderly couple entered the elevator.
The old couple looked like they were in their fifties.
“Alejandro, let go of my hand."
She heard the old woman tell the man beside her.
From the corner of Sandra's eyes, she saw the old man bring the hand of the old lady to his lips to give it a kiss.
"I love you, Aurora," the old man told the old lady. There was a smile on his face. "And I'll continue to love you until our hair completely turns gray."
"I'm sorry for my husband, Miss." The woman turned with an apologetic face.
She managed to smile despite the mist forming in her eyes. "It's okay."
Sandra's eyes followed the old couple as they stepped out of the elevator.
She wondered what would happen to her when she got old. Would she find the kind of love that she had just witnessed in the old couple? Would someone continue to love her even if her physical beauty faded? Even if her hair turns gray?
She bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying. She was in the hospital, for heaven's sake.
But her stupid emotions just get ahead of her.
The moment she entered Dr. Ocampo's office, she burst out crying.
