“YOUR turn, Sandra.”

Sandra's eyes moved from the scrabble board then to the tiles in front of her.

Dylan and her were playing scrabbles that afternoon. They were on the terrace of her parents house.

She bit her lower lip while trying to think of a word that she could form from the seven letter tile in front of her.

“Do you want to pass?”

“No,” She immediately shook her head. She looked at Dylan. He was smiling at her.

“Okay, then. Take your time, baby,” he said, his lips forming a grin.

She rolled her eyes at him while her heart was racing inside her chest.

Dammit. How would to think clearly if Dylan was looking at her like that? Her brain was short circuiting.

She glanced at the scoreboard. Her score was just half of Dylan's. Damn.

She was finally able to smile when she finally thought of a word. She picked two tiles and placed it on the left part of the scrabble board.

“Sex. Double word. Triple letter. Thirty six points.”

Damn. She finally got to score high.

“Hmm, sex.”

Dylan's lips curved up in a very playful and naughty smile.

“Nice word.”

Her cheeks turned bright red.

“Uhm, sex. Gender,” she said defensively.

“You're blushing hard, Sandra.” He chuckled softly.

She avoided his eyes. “Your fault, Dylan.” She couldn't hide her brightened cheeks from him.

“Huh? What did I do?” he asked using an innocent voice.

“Tsk. Nothing.” She pouted her lips and rolled her eyes at him.

“Stop pouting like that, Sandra.”

Her eyes went back to him. She raised her brows. “Why?”

“Because I might kiss you again.” He stared at her lips. “Stop pouting before I lose control, baby.”

Damn. She swallowed as her eyes dropped to his lips.

The taste of his lips was still fresh in her mind… Her heart beat fastened when he recalled the kiss that they shared earlier.

“Dylan. Do you want to play basketball?” She was startled when Cray suddenly appeared from nowhere.

She looked at Cray, her cheeks still red hot.

Her brother was wearing a basketball jersey and holding a basketball in his hand.

“Can't you see we're busy playing scrabble here." She pouted her lips at Cray.

“Sorry Cray. Your sister first before anything else," Dylan said to him, smiling.

She bit her lower lip to stop herself from smiling widely. Dammit.

Her heart was acting up again.

Cray smirked and nodded his head before leaving them.

She looked at Dylan. “Why didn’t you go with Cray? Aren't you bored here?” she asked.

After eating the apple mangoes that he picked from the climbing the tree, they didn't leave the house again.

“Why would I get bored when I'm with you?” He held her hand. “I will never get bored as long as you're beside me, Sandra. When I'm with you, even hell would feel like heaven for me."

This time, she felt like she finally melted on her seat.

“Stop it, Dylan. You can't easily get me with your flowery words, you know." She slanted her eyes at him.

“I'm serious, Sandra.” He said softly.

“I know, Dylan.” She met his eyes and smiled at him.

She knew and she could feel that he was really serious with his feelings for her. Every word from him was piercing through her heart. She could feel his sincerity.

She didn't know how long they were staring and smiling at each other.

“Dylan, it's your turn now,” she muttered at him after glancing at the scrabble board.

“Hmm.” He just placed an additional tile on her last word. “SEXY.” His lips curled up. “It’s you, baby.”

Her face heated up. Well, for her, the word sexy was equal to Dylan. Everything about this man was sexy. Not just his face and body. His voice, his smile, his eyes, his laughter. Everything.

She almost jumped on her seat when Cray appeared again.

“Why are you here again?” She cleared her throat and looked at her brother standing in front of them.

“Mrs. Mirna's here.”

She finally noticed the old woman behind her brother. She stood up from her seat before greeting the old woman. What was she doing here?

“Why are you looking for me, Mirna?”

“I'm sorry to disturb you, Sandra. I just need your help. My daughter Mary had an accident. She slipped on the bathroom floor. I remembered you said that Dylan is a doctor…" Her eyes went to Dylan who also stood up from his seat. "Can you check on her, Doc?"

“Sure. No problem,” Dylan immediately answered, smiling. “I'll just get my medicine kit in the car.”

“Thank you so much, hijo. I'm sorry again for disturbing you two, Sandra.” The old woman turned to her again.

She managed to smile at her.

“No worries. Dylan and I will follow you to your house in a minute.”

She turned to Dylan when Mirna left them.

“Is this really okay with you, Dylan?” she asked him. "I mean… you just said you took a leave from work. But now here you are…"

He smiled at her reassuringly. “It's okay, baby.” He left her for a while to get his medicine box in his car.

She was cleaning up the scrabble board when she remembered the world Mary said to Dylan the other day. She couldn't help but feel irritated.

“Lead the way, Miss,” Dylan said to her as they left the house.

She returned his smile. “Okay.” Well, she had nothing to worry about. Dylan doesn't like Mary.

Mirna welcomed them to their house. She led them to the living room where they found Mary sitting on the couch. The woman was only wearing a white bathrobe. She could clearly see her legs from her position.

“Doc Dylan!” Mary's face lit up when the woman saw Dylan.

Dylan walked toward the woman.

“What's hurting, Mary?” he asked in a formal tone.

“My left foot, Doc Dylan.” Mary winced while pointing his left foot. She noticed that that part of her body was slightly swelling.

“Let me check it.”

Dylan knelt in front of Mary and gently touched her left foot.

“Sandra, take a seat.” Mirna motioned her the vacant sofa.

But instead of sitting on the sofa, she remained standing on the corner.
