Ch. 20Thrashed Out

~Recap~

“So, I just helped her to not be so bland and boring, which she is. She should be thankful, instead. Besides, this suits her.” Cindy taunts as she begins laughing and soon is followed by the others.

Azura, in utter humiliation, dashes out from the canteen without even taking her lunchbox or any of her belongings for that matter.

Theo sighs in sorrow as he witnesses this scene happening with her. He then looks back at Cindy as his face enrages. “You are right, Cindy.”

Well, that definitely surprises Cindy because did Theo just agree with her and address that she was right? Well, of course she was usually and always right. But, was it just Theo this time? Maybe he really understood that him and her were meant to be and he finally wanted to be her boyfriend! Theo wanted to be Cindy's boyfriend!

______

“You are right, Cindy.”

“Oh, oh my god… Are you finally agreeing with me, Theo? I mean, I knew that sooner or later this was going to happen anyway but still… I'm so happy that it finally seems like you began understanding me and my side. Which is why you concurred with me.”

Theo smiles at Cindy after she is done with her statement and the woman's heart just couldn't stop fluttering inside her chest. “Well…” Theo begins speaking. “I had to agree because there was no other way. You were and are totally on point.” Cindy blushes and lowers her eyes as she waits for Theo to continue with his statement.

“I mean, you poured sauce on Azura since she is sweet so it suited her, yep.” Quotes Theo as he walks past the trashcan and lifts it. Cindy frowns in confusion as to why the man was taking care of the janitor's work. “But, do you know if what suits you?” The man asks and Cindy just looks at Leanne to get a sign to which the other lady just shrugs.

So, Cindy just shifts eyes back to Theo and motions that she doesn't know. She expected an answer of elaboration from Theo but was completely shocked when her face was met with the garbage that was thrown by none other than Theo.

“This.” Comes a word from Theo as the entire crowd once again is focusing on them and on the scenario. Cindy is staggered at the event occured out of nowhere. Well, not really out of nowhere since she saw it coming from Theo but this was still oh so unexpected.

“Garbage suits you really well. Or maybe, garbage doesn't just suit you, you yourself are a walking trash.” Theo spats, making the entire cafeteria laugh including even Leanne. However, she couldn't keep up with the environment for any long when Cindy glared at her furiously. The glares given by Cindy then shift from Leanne to Theo as the said man scoffs in disgust. “Don't you dare to come around any of us.” Said Theo while beginning to walk away.

Just as he was about to disappear already, he stopped on his steps to give a last warning to Cindy. “Especially Azura.” And then he finally flashes out from the scenario he thrashed.

“Umm, Cindy, you okay?” Leanne's nonchalant voice and utter question boils Cindy even more.

She almost shoots daggers to her friend before her eyes turn ridiculously artificially beaming. “Of course, Li. And, did you say just okay? Oh, I'm feeling more great than just being okay. I'm absolutely feeling wonderful and happy!”

Cindy's reply puts Leanne in grace as she beams back. “Oh really? So, Theo was actually right about garbage suiting you. I mean, you're extremely happy after your new look! Just one request, don't get too used to it because it seriously stinks. I won't be able to hang around you if you'll show up like this everyday. Maybe, you can pick this up on the cleaning days so we can have a vibe, yeah?”

There was no sign of irony or humour in Leanne's tone and statement. The lady was being serious with her words and Cindy swore that she could choke her right there, right now.

“Just shut up!” Cindy screams, making not only Leanne but the entire crowd flinch in terror.

“But Cindy, didn't you say that you were happy a while ago?” Leanne questions.

The other woman screeches in annoyance and yells once again. “I wasn't at all happy. How could you think someone could be happy with the loads of trash over them? Have you lost every single ounce of common sense in you? Gosh… What did I ever do to deserve such a friend like you!”

”Well, you did pretty much of bad things…” Just as Leanne was in the middle of completing her matter of fact, she was once again scowled at by Cindy. And so she twists the conclusion real quick. “But that really doesn't mean that you deserve a fool– I mean a friend like me but yeah.”

Cindy sighs and shakes her head at the level of stupidity shown by the latter. She then says, “Just leave it all. Now come on, come over and give me a hand.”

Nodding at her friend's instruction, Leanne moves ahead to help Cindy with cleaning up the mess.

“Amd you all.” Cindy yells at the crowd sticking near her. “Don't you all have something better to do? Like yeah, all the attention has to be on me but come on. Don't be an obsessive fan. Like, get some life or something?”

______

It has been a couple of hours already and the time of the college's batch was already over. Theo wanted to see Cindy lurking and struggling around in the trashed look but the lady was real quick with getting herself a decent look within the lunch hour. Probably her dad or mum's favor but who cares? At least Theo didn't, for sure.

The only thing that he was caring about and could say even concerning was Azura.

He has not seen her ever since the event caused in the cafeteria. He wondered if how she managed with her sticky jacket and all and he really wished if he could help her with it. But that's only if she'd let him and mostly, if he could find her successfully at this very moment because the said young woman seemed to have ghosted him already.

That is until his orbs finally land on the desired orbit. On the desired living being.

“Azura.”
