Ch. 109Notion

By the time everyone returned home, the sun had already gone to sleep, and the warm yellow lights gradually lit up everywhere. If viewed from above, it looks like there are hundreds of giant fireflies lying down. Those sounds are the sound of family activities, of the reunion at the end of the day.
“Don't you think it's beautiful? It is the beauty fleeting but full of splendor. It happens often but many people miss it because of the busyness and the many things to go through.”
“Are you good at literature in school? Talking about literature? Can't you just say it normally?"
“It makes a personal impression. You are so lacking in love, who you can marry later? Who dares to take care of you when there is no romance in you."
“As long as you can attract others, someone will automatically be next to you. Take care of yourself first. Dying before marriage is unlucky."
Basil Henry sat on the grass, hands on the ground, looking up at the sky, watching the floating clouds with a big pink color against the vast sky.
"Have a seat, we'll talk for a bit. Let's get to know each other a bit." Basil Henry took a cigarette from its pack and lit it.
"Squeeze now."
The smell of smoke rose strongly, but white and gray smoke appeared in the air. The smoke is getting thicker and thicker, combined with the red and pink fire light, which is also very beautiful. Basil Henry's eyes were blurred, no longer seeing the eyes he used to look at Benedict James.
“You don't like it?”
Outside, the lights have finally disappeared, letting the moonlight of the night reign everywhere. So the sunset was over. In the vast sky, thousands and thousands of colorful stars are blinking and watching us play. But only the star over there on the right hand is the brightest, it stands proudly like a beautiful girl standing in the middle of a picture of the autumn sky. Every house in the neighborhood has had lights on ever since. In the field, a few fireflies flickered as if the stars were shining brightly at the end of the sky. The sky is still surprisingly blue, the clouds are still wandering somewhere, not coming back. Each flock of birds moves to the nest in a V-shape. They both fly and call each other in the sky, the loudest is the leader. Light breezes passed by, gently swaying the branches of the grass. On the branches, the compound leaves turn into single leaves. The village's river surface is emitting steam, swirling around the lotus trees. Under the duckweed's feet, air bubbles float quickly and then pretend. The sound of croaking resounded in the hollow walls along the shore, next to the fruity, branch-laden vase trees. Far away at the beginning of the village, each herd of buffaloes wandered back to the camp in rows. On the back of the largest of the herd, sitting with two shepherds with their heads covered with straw hats revealing their peach hair, talking with their mouths. The burnt brick color of the village road gradually changed to a clay color. The smoke in the kitchen of anyone's house is suffocating, hovering in the space like a roll of wool being thrown into the deep sky. The scene fades, and darkness covers everywhere. The sound of insects rustling resounded through the bushes and grass. Echoing the head of the neighborhood, the sound of a dog barking stretched into a howl.
“If I had liked it, I would have knelt begging you to smoke more. What should be banned?"
Basil Henry extinguished it with his hand and threw it under the lotus pond in the distance. Seen from afar, the immense lotus pond spreads out in front of the eyes, only the lotus flowers are visible. The leaves are swaying like charms with the wind. Closer, we see more clearly, intertwined with the cool green lotus leaves are lotus buds, fresh pink lotuses like the lips of a baby girl. The wind sways the lotus leaves, tilts the lotus buds, ripples the blooming lotuses, and scatters the dying petals. Standing on the shore at that time, closing our eyes slightly, we will feel all the cool fragrances of the countryside. Lotus scent is not as harsh as jasmine nor faint, indifferent, it is passionate, passionate but still extremely gentle and elegant. The lotus in the village lagoon is a pink lotus. But the pink color of the wings and the yellow color of the stamens make the flower stand out among the green leaves. In the middle of the lagoon, there is a faint sound of rowing on the roofs of the owners of the lotus pond. The lagoon will transform through many stages, the lotus lagoon is still dreaming in the misty mist. The closer to noon, the more bustling the lotus pond. At that time, it was time to work in the fields, everyone wanted to go to the lotus pond to rest a bit, and breathe in the cool lotus scent.
"Your family? I have never met.”
“Just because I support you does not mean that all personal information has to be made public or has to be presented to my family in front of you. That makes no sense.”
"It's normal for friends to know your parents' faces, nothing to stress about. My parents can also openly show you their faces just because they are busy.” Basil Henry's eyes showed some sadness.
“There is nothing to it. They are all gone.” Benedict James replied calmly.
Basil Henry stood up, plucked a flower, and placed it on Benedict James' head.
“The girls in the class said it was not wrong, you look like a girl. No wonder why they keep envious and slander him all the time. Look at his small, white skin. Doesn't look like a boy." Basil Henry laughed.
“You speak carefully.”
“You know a man. Do you mean male-to-male love? Did you have an anti-wage underground giant? He's very rich, has six-pack abs, and is especially fond of your beauty."
"What kind of crazy talk is that?" Benedict James frowned.
