Ch. 12Chapter 12

With Brianna, I knew I was kissing a mortal. She responded to my kisses wantonly and passionately. I could feel the fire within her through her kisses. I held her tiny waist as she enveloped her arms around my neck.
Seconds later and she was panting when we released each other’s mouth.
I smiled as I traced her lips with my fingers and kept my arm around her waist to keep her close to me. Ever since I’ve had a taste of her lips, I’ve yearned to taste them again. It’s been so long since I felt this alive. And I don’t think I could end this sweet sensation yet.
“Ingram-“
“There’s so much light inside your heart, darling. But there’s darkness left inside your soul as well, darkness that can relate with mine, darkness that wanted to join me. Admit it, Brianna. You are drawn to me... just as I am drawn to you.” I planted a soft kiss on her mouth before I continued, “There’s this dark side of you who wished to explore things with me.”
“I don’t know.” She shook her head. “I don’t know anymore.”
I pressed my body against hers and licked her neck before playfully biting her there. She moaned. I blew on her right ear before whispering, “Can I stay for the night? Maybe then you’ll find out all the answers to your questions.”
Brianna didn’t answer but I could feel her defenses wavering. She was breathing roughly. I pulled down her sleeves and showered her shoulder with wet kisses. She tilted her head and gave me better access of her neck. I know that I’m not being fair by doing this but I wanted her. Not only for tonight.
I had waited for more than three hundred years. When I came to the Philippines, I wasn’t expecting anything. But the feelings that I felt the instant I saw Brianna startled me. I had never even felt this way towards Levana. The need to be with Brianna, to hold her, kiss her, and possess every piece of her was driving me wild.
“Please stop,” she said as she quickly glanced around. “Someone might see us.”
“Should I just go?” I said and reached for her hand. I began drawing circles around her palm. I could feel her heartbeat. Her heart was racing just like mine.
Brianna looked deep into my eyes that I could almost tell how she would respond. “No. I told you to stay, didn't I?”

(Brianna)
“PLEASE sit for a while. I’ll get you something to drink.” I was about to walk towards the kitchen when Ingram grabbed my hand. It was cold tonight but I could feel myself sweating. I don’t know why but Ingram really reminds me of the stranger in my dream. His mere touch was enough to make me feel electrified.
I turned towards Ingram slowly. What does this man have? Why do I feel this way about him? He’d always catch me staring at him these past few nights. Every time that would happen, I would immediately close the window. But just looking at him was not enough. It often took me so much of my willpower not to open the door and come to him.
“Don’t bother. I don’t really feel thirsty, Brianna.”
“Then what can I offer you instead?”
His hands wandered from my hand up to my shoulder. “How about yourself?”
“How can I offer myself to someone I don’t know?” I asked, still perplexed about the situation. I tried not to be affected by his fingers, but I didn’t succeed. His hand traveled to my back, underneath my shirt. I gasped when he reached for my bra. In an instant, he was able to unhook it. “Ingram-“
“If you are not going to use your head as of this very moment, what would you have done?” he whispered as he tickled my earlobe with his tongue. When he sucked it, I squeezed his shoulder and shut my eyes. His mouth was making me delirious.
“I asked you a question, Brianna,” he teased.
“It’s simple, really. I’d kiss you,” I answered and felt my whole face flush. But I didn’t take it back despite the embarrassment. Because that was really what I wanted to do. I’d just think about the hows and whys later.
“Good. When I came here, I tried not to think of anything else anymore. Because if I did, I would have been driving by now. I would have been driving miles and miles away from you.”
“But why?” My brows furrowed. “I don’t understand.”
“Don’t worry, I feel the same.” He stared at me. The more I look in his eyes, the more I feel drowned, the more I feel like I’d do anything he asked. “I also don’t understand myself these days. Maybe I can start to understand myself if you’d kiss me, darling.”
I didn’t think twice anymore. I tiptoed and reached for Ingram’s lips. When our lips met, I had to acknowledge the truth. I want this man so badly that I’m burning and aching with need for him. And despite these foreign cravings inside me, I still feel like this was the rightest thing to do, like I was born to be with him and to do this. That’s why I felt lost when he ended the kiss.
When I opened my eyes, I saw his eyes shining. “What are you writing about right now?”
My forehead creased. Ingram constantly surprises me by the things he says and do. He was asking as if he already knew. Still, I responded, “Paranormal. It’s about a male Vampire who fell in love with a female mortal-“
“Great.” He smiled mischievously. “I know a little about Vampires. I’ll give you tips. For starters, here’s how they kiss, darling.”
In a blink of an eye, Ingram was able to lift me up with just his left arm. Now, I no longer have to tiptoe or look up at him. His other hand held my nape before he claimed my lips for another kiss. His kisses were different than the previous ones we had shared. It was more aggressive now, more fervent.
