I felt my son pull my hand holding unto him. So I looked at my son. "Mama the house were so big and huge and beautiful, for whom is this mama?" My son asked.
"To my co-worker son, to the celebrant." I told my son. I still can't imagine that the house of that madman was so big.
I was still hesitant to enter, so I called Mike. He immediately answered my call after the first ring. "Hello Sha where are you?" He said.
"We're here already out Mike but it looks like we went to a wrong place." I heard him laughed at what I said.
"Ok I will meet you up." He said on the other line. I even heard him apologized to someone his with. Soon I saw him approaching us to Shawn.
He waved at us, so we approached him immediately. "Happy birthday again Mike." I greeted him once handing over him the gift. "Thanks Sha, I'm glad you arrived. Is this Shawn? The handsome boy." Smiling he said to my son. And they do shake hands.
"Happy birthday day sir." My son said seriously. "Thanks kiddo, but please not sir just uncle." He said as he stared at Shawn. "Come on in, the two are already here. I really thought you weren't coming." He added.
"It's almost Mike, good thing Shawn woke me up. So here we are, but late." I laughed and told him.
"Those two, I really want them being thrown outside already. I don't want to see their faces anymore its disgusting they really annoys me." Then he laughed.
We just passed by at the side, the party was probably in the pool area. "You have a lot of guest Mike, it's embarrassing." I can't help but said to him.
"Nuh ah, don't be Sha they are just nothing." He said laughing to me while walking.
"Hey! Take off your hand to my mama's shoulder! She's off limits!" We were even surprised by what my son said to Mike.
"Shawn?" I told him. I can't believe he said that. For the first time I heard that from my son.
"Oh, so possessive. Sorry kiddo." Mike told my son. Still can't believe it.
"Shawn say sorry to Uncle Mike." I said softly to my son.
"But mama, your only mine. I won't allow anybody will touch you and I don't want to." He said emphatically. Mike laughed at what my son said. So I stared at him.
"Its ok Sha, don't worry kiddo I won't take your mama away from you. Your mama is my friend, and she's like a big sister to me ok, and I'll help you guard your mama from anyone." He said to my son and even wink at him.
"Are you gay? Why do you wink at me?" Mike burst out laughing at what was my son said. But my son just frowned looking at him.
"Shawn son?" I called him, I really felt ashame to Mike cuz of Shawn behavior towards to him. "Your son is so possessive and over protective to you Sha. I like your son." He still did not stop laughing. He was still holding his stomach.
He took us to the table where our two other friends were there already . Here are also some of our colleagues in the department. They were even surprised when I introduced them my son. Cuz only few of my collegues knows that I already have a child. Others can't still believe the truth.
The two were very happy to see Shawn, and introduce their self to him. "Hi Shawn I'm aunt Marie, you are so really handsome." Marie said while kissing my son's cheek.
"I'm Kris, you can call me Aunt Kris." Kris also said to my son. "You are so cute, I wish I also have a child like you adorable, handsome, cute. My god." She added then kissed him too and giggled.
"Are you two my mama's friends?" I wonder why my son asked them. "Yes we are why? Shawn." The two answered together.
"So you're the two that guy talking about earlier." Shawn said while pointing at Mike. Surprisingly, the two were looking at Mike and then to my son. Their foreheads frowned like they are asking why. Even Me and Mike.
"He said earlier to my mom, Those two, I really want them being thrown outside already. I don't want to see their faces anymore, its so disgusting! they really annoys me." He even imitated how Mike said that to me earlier.
We were all shocked, "OH MY GOD" On what my son said. I really can't believe and I didn't expect him to say that.
Mike, on the other hand, burst out laughing. Because of the reaction of the two. Even also our other colleagues laughing too. Except Me, Marie and Kris. I was really surprised about my son, I still can' believed him.
Then the two looked at Mike badly and they beat him.
"I'm hungry." Shawn poked Mike.
"Woh! You're unbelievable kiddo, after you drop me down your going to asked me for food. That's geat." He said to my son. And laughed.
The two laughed at him too.
"Its your party right?" He asked him again "Yes kiddo its my party." As he replied. "Then you're the one I should asked for." He told Mike. We just said "Oh" too. Mike laughed again "Of course kiddo." He said to Shawn.
"Shawn son, you can asked mama too." I said my son softly.
"Its ok Sha, no problem. Let's go kiddo we'll get some foods for you." Mike is with my son now headed to tables where the foods was.
"I will take for him Mike." I quickly stood up and held my son's hand. Its a Buffet style the were placed near to the pool. So it's easy and convenient for the visitors to get the foods, because you don't have to go inside the house.
I just put the dishes on a plate, I just took an extra plate and drinks and dessert too. Of course chocolate cake for Shawn his favorate.
I was carrying the food tray when we returned to the table. And I put food on our Plates. He ate by him self.
After eating my son touched me and he whispered to my ear. "Mama I wanna pee."
So we stood up and apologized, I asked the direction of the CR. Mike pointed to the other side.
I immediately searched for the CR as we entered the house. I was even more surprised because there were people in the living room, and they turned their heads and looked at us. There were five persons, the two older women who are quite similar. Two elderly men. And another woman who is younger than the two, and I guess my sister and her were the same age. But she looks so familiar.
"Good evening, we're just looking for the toilet." I greeted them as a respect to them. They're just staring at us, particularly at my son.
"Mama I really want to make pee." My son dragged me. "Excuse us please." When I apologize to them.
Suddenly the girl stood up, "I'll go with you guys, come I'll take you there." And she accompanied us.
"By the way I'm Charry, Mike the a**hole younger sister. And you guys name?" Smiling he told us.
"I'm Shakeera and this is my son Shawn Alcantara. Nice meeting you Miss Charry." Shawn and I shook hands.
"Oh no Miss just Charry pleease, where here." She pointed to the door where the comfort room is. "Thank you" I told her as we entered the CR. "Welcome" She smiled as she said.
SHAWN and I made our way to the pool area after his done with his business in the washroom. But we have to pass through the living room again. If there were five persons only when we entered a while ago, but now there are seven people already including Mike. His already here inside, and the other man seating his back facing us.
"Sha and Shawn come here first. I'd like you to meet my family." Mike calls us. Even I felt shame we still approached them.
My nervousness is here again. It was something like there were rats chasing inside my chest.
Because they were staring at us again. Especially to my son.
