Ch. 1Part 1

Greta pulled a suitcase in her right hand while her left hand held a glass of iced coffee that she occasionally sipped, at that time she had just landed at the Brisbane airport after attending the wedding of her older brother named Noah Specter.

Greta's mind wandered all over the place because at his brother named Noah who has a wedding yesterday, some people rudely asked her what it was like to be cheated right two months before she get married! At that time, she felt like she wanted to disappear into the earth instead of having to face those impolite people.

While Greta was still busy daydreaming, suddenly someone bumped into her shoulder making her accidentally spill the iced coffee that stained her shirt and the white shirt of the man who she thought was hit her.

"Really? Can you walk with a little more focus?!" said the man while cleaning his white shirt which was stained with coffee.

Greta rolled her eyes, "What did you say? Those are not the right words to say after you hit someone!" She snapped.

"Excuse me? Did you just say that I am the one who hit you? Should we check the CCTV to prove it?" the man looked up and showed a handsome Australian face which had taken Greta by surprise, but fortunately, she soon controlled herself.

Greta looked doubtful for a moment, she wasn't sure herself but she chose to pretend, of course, she didn't want to be blamed, especially because the man's reaction was a bit exaggerated.

"Yes, it's you the one who hit me first, ah I can't believe this! You should be apologizing instead of being angry! You're annoying! Okay, let's just say I'm being kind today!" cried Greta as she prepared to run away.

But the man's hand quickly stopped her.

"I still have enough time to prove you're guilty," the man said flatly and firmly.

"What?" Greta looked so nervous, she wasn't sure it was the man who hit her. It must have been Greta who bumped into the guy because her mind was too focused on the annoying questions people had at Noah's wedding yesterday.

"Okay, okay, let's consider that I am the one who hit you, I'm sorry, okay?'' shouted Greta who didn't want to be embarrassed in front of people.

The man's grip loosened and then let go of Greta's hand. He looked at her from head to toe, then took a deep breath and walked away from Greta while pulling his suitcase without uttering a single word.

Greta snorted,

"Gosh! He thinks he's Chris Hemsworth or something! What an asshole!" Greta grumbled as she pulled her suitcase and continued towards the lobby. Her eyes sharply watched the arrogant man from behind they were both headed to the lobby for taxi queues.

Greta yawned widely, she stood in the lobby and queued to get a taxi with sleepy eyes so she didn't realize when she accidentally got into a taxi that she thought was empty.

"You?! You again! What are you doing here! God! Couldn't my day be more unlucky than this!" it was the arrogant man who was sitting in the taxi.

Greta glared, she said nothing and prepared to come back down. But the queue snaking behind her made her lazy to repeat the queue to the first line.

"Can we just move sir, I'll pay the taxi fare doubled, I'm lazy in line, please," Greta said to the taxi driver.

The arrogant man looked at her with wide eyes,

"Hey, who do you think you are? Get out!" said the man curtly. Before Greta could get out of the taxi, the sound of a very loud horn made the taxi driver confused and chose to continue the journey.

"I'm sorry sir, but I can't just stop here, if you don't mind, I'll take you both in turn," said the taxi driver casually.

Greta and the man were both silents, which meant they agreed.

"Take me first," said the man angrily.

"Of course, you were the first to get into my taxi," said the driver easily.

"Destination?" the taxi driver asked them both.

"125 Eagle Street,"

"72 Eagle Street," Greta and the arrogant man replied together.

The taxi driver who was a middle-aged man laughed out loud alone as if something funny had happened.

"Look! You have nothing to argue about! Your destinations are the same, write down today's date, maybe you will remember today as the day you first met..."

Both Greta and the snobbish man looked away and put on an expression of wanting to vomit.

Heading to Eagle Street, they were both silents. Even the cocky guy purposely put air pods in his ears so Greta wouldn't talk to him.

17 minutes later they arrived at Eagle Street, the taxi dropped Greta first in front of her apartment.

"How much do I have to pay? I don't mind if I have to pay all the meters, but I'm afraid this arrogant man will feel humiliated," grumbled Greta as she opened her purse.

The arrogant man snorted, "Can you just get out of here as soon as possible, I'm so sick of seeing your behavior," he said while massaging his forehead.

Greta sneered, one eyebrow raised. He opened the taxi door, then before he got off he gave a hundred Australian dollars to the driver who accepted it cheerfully.

"Hey, arrogant man! Listen to me carefully! You don't catch my eye at all! So don't act like you're handsome or something!" grumbled Greta after she had managed to get her suitcase down to the pavement.

The arrogant man just shook his head with an annoying face and closed the car door hard.

"Sucksssss!!!!" Greta grumbled as she stomped her feet on the floor several times.

After watching the taxi moved away, Greta immediately turned around and dragged her suitcase to her apartment.

"I heard there's going to be a cooking demo from a Michelin Stars Chef who's on the rise right now," said Amy, a Canadian friend of Greta's.

"What's his name?" Greta asked, putting on the apron and tying it tightly.

Amy tilted her head in remembrance, "Ryan, Um, Ryan Lewis! Yup Ryan Lewis, that's his name!"

Greta nodded, she looked relaxed because today their job was only to watch the demo and practice some cooking.

"You brought something for me, from America?" whispered Amy, occasionally checking her notes.

Greta opened her bag, was about to say something but the loud voices of her friends made her look up curiously.

In front of the cooking demonstration table, he stood with his handsome face looking stern. He wore a black chef's jacket with the words, The Food Theory on it.

"Greta, you won the quiz last week right? Greta? Greta?" called Amy who was annoyed that Greta didn't turn around either.

"Who won last week's quiz?" the lecturer asked again. "Greta! Greta!" Exasperatedly, Amy pinched Greta's arm gently making Greta woke up.

"Those who won last week's quiz, please come forward to be an assistant to Chef Ryan Lewis today," the lecturer looked around looking for the winner.

Greta nervously stepped forward, hiding her face so she couldn't be recognized.

"Okay, Greta, introduce yourself to Chef Ryan Lewis," said the lecturer forcing Greta to look up so that she couldn't help but meet her gaze with the arrogant man who immediately frowned and hissed,

"You?!" in a huff.
