Ch. 1Chapter 1: The day we meet again

It was raining again. Thuy Nguyet sat by the window and looked out at the dim road in the water. Many years had passed but she still couldn't forget the past because the time she and he spent together created a dreamlike love story.
She was the daughter of a housekeeper in his family. After her mother died, she continued to stay at his house to work. The relationship between master and servant gradually turned into pure love.
Her dream wedding seemed to be about to happen. Everyone said she was a lucky person, but it all immediately burst like a rain bubble because on the day the two of them had just taken their wedding photos, his mother had met her privately.
Le Na Que told Thuy Nguyet that Thinh The's financial situation was not very good, the bank loans were overdue, but the company did not have the source to pay. The heir of Hoang Hai Group, Nhu Y Hoang offered to help the company overcome the difficult period, but on the condition that she became Van Phong's wife.
In the end, Thuy Nguyet agreed to leave because she felt she owed them too much. Over the years, Le Na Que treated her very well. It was difficult for her to repay this kindness, so when Le Na Que begged, how could she stubbornly stay?
Winter and spring followed one another. Seven years passed since she left the house filled with so many memories. The joys and pain seemed to be buried over the years, but life always liked to tease people, so it once again pulled her to meet him without her knowledge. It was a winter afternoon with chilly weather and raindrops falling across the gray sky.
Thuy Nguyet worked for Thinh Vu Corporation for over three years, almost every day she came home very late, but that day was an exception because she had moved to the headquarters of the corporation. The next morning, she also had to go to province C to choose the setting for the movie.
Thuy Nguyet looked at the clock. She saw it was half-past five in the afternoon. Everyone had left. She quickly got up and arranged documents. Despite her tired appearance, her movements were still agile. When the light purple umbrella was opened, a voice rang out from behind.
- Can you let my friend share the umbrella to go to the parking lot? He is having a cold.
Thuy Nguyet turned her head and looked at the two tall men in suits. The person who was talking to her smiled in a friendly manner. The person next to him didn't seem friendly at all. His deep eyes looked even grayer than the sky today. Because Thuy Nguyet also had a cold, her voice through the medical mask was difficult to hear.
- Okay.
Vy Dinh didn't say a word. He quickly went under the umbrella. Thuy Nguyet hurriedly tiptoed and lifted the umbrella. Then she turned to Tuan Kiet and tilted her head.
- You come in.
A short girl who held an umbrella and covered two tall men on either side was not suitable for the situation, so Thuy Nguyet immediately looked up at Vy Dinh and said.
- Brother, because you are the tallest, please stand in the middle holding an umbrella so that no one gets wet.
Vy Dinh looked down at her and Tuan Kiet was startled when he heard that.
- It's better if you give it to me.
- No problem.
Vy Dinh said as he reached out his hand to take it. Although the umbrella was quite large, it could not cover all 3 adults standing in a horizontal line. Thuy Nguyet saw this and immediately stepped up because she was worried that the two hitchhikers would get wet.
The road from the main door to the parking lot was not too far, but because they had to coordinate to avoid stepping on each other, no one dared to go fast. After a few minutes, they finally arrived.
- Thank you. - Tuan Kiet bowed his head and said.
- No problem.
Thuy Nguyet received the umbrella from Vy Dinh and gently replied, then turned and walked away. After Vy Dinh returned the umbrella, he quickly opened the car door and sat in. Tuan Kiet also quickly spoke up.
- My name is Tuan Kiet Truong.
- My name is Thuy Nguyet Do.
Thuy Nguyet did not turn back, but she waved her hand, replied, and hurried to the gate. Tuan Kiet watched her slim figure disappear in the rain. He saw the boss was also going in that direction.
- Where are we going now, boss?
Tuan Kiet fastened his seat belt and asked, but he didn't hear anyone answer. He looked in the rearview mirror, but he couldn't see Vy Dinh anymore. Tuan Kiet was very surprised because he saw his boss get in the car first. He suddenly remembered and suddenly realized that he was not mistaken, so he hurriedly chased after his boss.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier. Vy Dinh looked left and right. He tried to find the girl who was holding the purple umbrella. In front of him were colorful umbrellas alternating, but when he approached them, he saw they were not Thuy Nguyet. In the middle of the crowded traffic, he sighed helplessly in the rain and disappointedly returned to Thinh Vu.
The road was less crowded. Under the light of the high-pressure lamp, Thuy Nguyet reached out her hand and took the last bus. As soon as Vy Dinh saw her, he immediately woke up and rushed over. The bus left the curb and went straight. He chased after her and called her name, his call mixed with the sound of the rain.
- Thuy Nguyet, Thuy Nguyet, you stand for me, Thuy Nguyet.
Vy Dinh ran and called her name until his throat was dry, and his legs were tired. The scene from seven years ago replayed in his mind. In front of him was a mess that then faded.
